    Thank you Martin!, Just caught up with this video, Very informative and useful. I don't have Logic but very similar to the DAW I'm using. Thank you again!!

      Thanks for your support. At the end of the day, all DAWs are similar: Logic, Cubase, Studio One, each with it's special features and strength and Drummer might be that one feature that none of the others have but this doesn't mean that Logic is the best...it has it's downsides too of course

      Best of luck! As I know there is nothing out there comparable to Logic's Drummer, but wait... that was before entered the game 😉

      Damage Drum Kit is a nice Drumkit by Heavyocity, personally I like it quite a lot. You can find several videos on TH-cam where it is presented (me too I have two videos about it) and thanks for subscribing :)

      Thank you. Drummer is a really unique feature of Logic Pro and if you combine it with your favourite Drum Kit....it really can do some magic :) And good choice getting the Damage Drum Kit, hope you will enjoy it just as much as I do

    Awesome video! Such a good approach to start with Logic drummer to create the midi. Nicely put together.

    Drummer is totally awesome and the number one feature that "binds" me to Logic for any foreseeable future....
    And if you wanted to even kick it another "notch" up, replace the stereo track with a producer kit, which will effectively create an entire drums submix (summing stack) and individual tracks for kick, snare, COWBELL(! can we ever have enough cowbell .... NO!😂), which you can then still use for your Damage drum kit!
    Pro tipp: Keep the auto generated drummer regions around on a separate track, which you'll mute after having created the producer kit summing stack. In that way and as you go on with the production, you'll still get to use the drummer HUD/GUI for manipulating how the regions sound and convert them to MIDI and replace existing parts, going back and forth in that way. Can't imagine things getting more efficient and quick and still sounding incredibly real than that!

    • @MartinHeidenreichMusic
      @MartinHeidenreichMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      true, but I preferred to use my favourite drum kit which has a mixer for every single drum included + I have control over every single hit working with the velocity values 😉

    • @wesboundmusic
      @wesboundmusic 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I can see the advantage there, that's cool@@MartinHeidenreichMusic ! (Plus, I had meant to add that with drummer you don't even need to convert the drummer track to MIDI as long as the selected sound plug-in has multi-output ).
      I see the velocity advantage for every single note, of course. I think Drumlab from Native Instruments has something like that; I just tried it out real quick - yeah, plays in Multi-Output mode and allows for each instrument to have a complete graphical user interface with all relevant parameters (kick velocity for cowbell, haha!) and still have drummer play it... SO versatile and efficient!)

    This is great for using different libraries. Can you still mix the individual drums like you can with a producer kit in logic, or would you mix the midi channel as an entire kit?

    • @MartinHeidenreichMusic
      @MartinHeidenreichMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would mix the channel as an entire kit but you can trigger the single drums via their velocity. Gives you maximum control over every single hit. Plus you can mix the individual drums in the Kit Designer (in this specific library)
