Every year black friday "deals" look more and more like Oriental Trading catalog of the early 90's. -- Oh look here! 50 rubber finger puppets for $3.99😮.
I own both RA25 and the RT95. Both mounted in my truck, love them both. Just do good research on antennas but remember where you live will determine the Best antennas to match them up with...
Unless they changed it, the RA25 has a special poweron sequence so you can swap between GMRS, US ham, and others. It does NOT remember the programming if you swap modes.
You can still buy without a license. Bought my first handheld before I even passed my test, just for motivation's sake. You can listen to your heart's content on the thing, but. ...everybody say it with me to fend off the sad hams and trolls... just don't transmit til you get your ticket.
@@sbpb28314 Yeah, that's the thing though. I already bought a ht also, and I want a new scanner, discone, shortwave loop antenna, masts, etc, already. Lol
15-20% is the best? If these early deals are an indicator, this is a pitiful Black Friday. Not only for HAM radios, but across the board. It's just sad how few significant deals I'm seeing for everything I've looked for. Hopefully, "real" Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday deals will be better.
Maybe I am unique but I have been disappointed with all four Retevis radios I bought. Two DMR and two analog. They are all very difficult to program and are much harder to use than a UV5R, for example. And I've owned Alinco, Yaesu, Icom, Standard Vertex, Motorola, Baofeng and probably others. The Retevis stuff is just not up to par. My opinion.
RT95 is £108.79 on Amazon UK. Black Friday deal. A complete ripoff price as Retevis have had a voucher for the product all year taking the price to £101.00p.
They could have also gone up that much due to inflation if we got the alternative. Starting out with “Not to be political, but” doesn’t make it not political.

How about a Best Black Friday deals on brand name radios? (not necessarily Amazon)
Any deals on Yaesu, Icom, Kenwood, Elecraft, Flex ?

I didn’t see where he stated this was a Retivis commercial
Yeah.....I wasn't exactly expecting wall to wall Retevis.

The RA25, one is GMRS and the other is dual band. I do think though you can switch between dual or GMRS during bootup of the radio though.
Amazon The price goes up a few days before black Friday, then they put it back to where it was previously.

It seems there are equivalent DMR radios for a good bit less.
On the RA25 I believe the one ad has a 10% off code and the other ad is lower price without code. Ends up being close to same pricing.
Is this the retevis channel or...?
Very informative excellent!!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks
Seems the difference between the two RA25 is one is advertised as Dual band $80 and the other advertised as GMRS
Thanks for the video.
Thanks man!
Ra79 is $60 on Amazon Canada
What radio van i buy when i wants something morę than usunął UV-5R, and i didn't wany that harmonics horror that is on baofengs ?
Dang. I want to get something to work 10 meters while you can, but I don't even have a liscense yet. 😅

Be careful with that RT95 mobile. 70 centimeters is only 430-440Mhz.
I don't understand why they don't do black Friday deals on the Radioddity QT80 or Anytone AT 6666 Pro radios!
I got my QT-80 from Scott's radios. He makes sure they're aligned right and working as should. Pretty happy with mine.
They don't need to. They sell all they can get at full price. They don't need to offer discounts.
Those are US$ prices, Should show AU$ 🙂
He knows his audience.

Not to be political, but folks, buy now if you are in the market. Prices could go up by 60% next year if Trump follows through on his tariff plan.

What I'm wondering is why we don't have US companies create and manufacture radios in the states. If there are, let me know.

Because the government gets in the way.
These are NOT black Friday deals, but just cheapest garbage.
The retivis 10 meter is a good deal, its a pretty decent radio I have 2.
Yo mamma is cheap garbage
