In real life I've seen pedestrians decide to cross at the last second when the car is right at the crossing and don't even look to see where the car is and expect the the radar to see them. What happened to the old school days where you where taught to look left, right then left again
This system have to be tested again, most from the cars stop to late or just in time and that is dangeroes when the road is wet the possibility that the car gonna slip is great, so the factory's have to check that again and make that the car react's faster!.
Why are these cars being tested at different speeds. I can perhaps see the value in a different speed for SUVs vs sedans, but why was the Kia treated at 25 and the Hyundai tested at 37? That aside, did the Kia Optima even try to stop? Didn’t look like it… That being said, Subaru brake systems seem to make some interesting sounds you don’t typically attribute to hard braking…
Unfortunately, not all vehicles coming behind it are Audis. In countries like India, this braking will result in a heap of metal, rubber, plastic, glass and flesh behind!
