Superman began airing before this season and then in between season 2 they worked on this using the same artstyle. They even aired them together in the same block as "The New Batman/Superman Adventures". There are a few crossover episodes in Superman The Animated Series where Batman and Superman team up, most notably "World's Finest", which is a 3 parter in STAS season 2. I would definitely recommend watching STAS after this if you want to continue in the DC Animated Universe/Timmverse, then Batman Beyond, then the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited shows
Yeah, a lot of the DCAU shows run parallel to each other in the canon timeline, rather than neatly falling one by one in a row. I remember the last time I watched through all of them I followed some kinda semi-official chronological viewing order, which was definitely interesting, but it involved a lot of jumping back and forth between Batman and Superman, and then later some jumping between Justice League and Batman Beyond as well iirc (not to mention other shows like Static Shock and Zeta Project which are kinda canon to the DCAU but mostly orbit around it in their own separate little bubble). Not exactly a great format for BW to follow when trying to create a reaction series that’s easy to keep track of and schedule.
It’s a pretty fucking hilarious reveal that Gotham has actually had the death penalty this entire time lol. I mean, the likes of Joker and Two-Face, who have almost certainly killed way more people than Croc, get to keep getting off on an insanity plea despite being fully aware of their actions and knowingly planning out horrible crimes over and over again, but the court decided that the giant, dim-witted man-crocodile is perfectly sane and well-suited to not only stand trial but be executed for his crimes.
I feel like it could be argued for Two-Face. He went crazy and has dual personality. Joker looks crazy and sounds crazy but he plans everything out and is fully aware of his monstrous actions.
Eh to be fair that’s kinda the point of the insanity plea. Killer Croc is perfectly sane, Two Face and Joker are legitimately insane or at least close enough to convince a jury
Well, Waylon Jones comes from an impoverished background and is of African American stock which is certainly in line with some criticisms of how capital punishment is applied. More to the point, Arkham is the best way to keep the rogues locked up - leaving aside the question of what exactly you'd charge someone like The Mad Hatter or Poison Ivy with, there's not usually a lot of evidence and even if Batman does have it and gives it to the police, it was obtained without a warrant and there's no chain of custody. By sticking them in a mental hospital, none of that matters. They can be kept in custody until deemed cured which, given lack of treatment, is effectively permanent
8:28 In an episode of Static Shock, which happens at the same time as this season, Static is in the BatCave and he asks "Where's Robin?" and Batman says "He's with the Titans."
On a recent rewatch I found significant appreciation for Brooks Gardner's performance as Killer Croc. While Aron Kincaid's performance perhaps had a little more charm, Brooks Gardner's voice sounded a lot more like what I imagined Waylon's voice to sound like in the comics and made him seem much more intelligent and menacing.
I’m pretty sure they redesigned the Batman the animated series characters to match the Superman animated series that was going to run at the same time.
Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Static Shock, Gotham Girls, Batman Beyond, The Zeta Project, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman: Sub-Zero, Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman, Superman: Brainiac Attacks, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker and Justice League Vs Fatal Five make up the entirety of the DCAU.
It wasn't in the TH-cam reaction but I liked Batgirl's line "In a minute, you'll either know or won't care." Never thought they'd bring Baby Doll back & Hell truly hath no fury like a woman scorned.

“Can Joker’s gun shoot the BANG? Like it shoots it like an arrow and then it’s just stuck in you?”
That’s not funny… That’s not… funny… at all…
I wondered if someone was gonna reference that.
I got it

Your comment made me laugh a lot. Thanks :')

Maybe they just classed Croc as an animal to be put down and not a human so they could loophole into a death penalty.

“What if he eats her” look at Aaron judging croc just cuz he’s different smh lol
Tbf he has a track record of eating people

Which never really made sense cause we never see the titans in this universe

Completely agree. It’s not as iconic, but it strangely fits the comics better

Cool to see baby doll and croc again
Since Superman The Animated Series was running concurrently with this, I imagine Baby-Doll was using discarded Toy Man gear.
I love "Killer" Croc being tried for murder under that name.
My adventures with Superman is great, maybe consider adding it in the future?
This one of those episodes that make me think, What the hell did I just watch, And what were they thinking!?
Great villain team up in this episode.
Actually Braniac Attacks is not part of the DCAU, it's just in the same art style.
It's crazy how long it's been since we've gotten a DC Animated movie!!!
3 came out last year and the 3 Infinite Crisis movies are all dropping this year (2 already have).
PLEASE, do Blue Eye Samurai reaction!
It wasn't in the TH-cam reaction but I liked Batgirl's line "In a minute, you'll either know or won't care." Never thought they'd bring Baby Doll back & Hell truly hath no fury like a woman scorned.
It would have been funny if we has gotten Kaiju Babydoll but she was just the size of a normal woman.
I hope you guys watch the rest of the DCAU ,
2:48 needle
3:34, 6:48, 10:28 needle gun
its like a less wholesome Gentle and La Brava
Out of context this episode title is so funny.
Ha ha, Tombstone reference.
6:38 BINGPOT
Superman the Animated Series was already going at this time. I'd recommend you catch up.
