    It's hard to consider $2000+ IEMs when stuff in the 700-$1000 price point have gotten insanely competitive since the past years.

      I know right?! I have been long tempted by the Z1R and U12T but now that the Mest MkII is out not to mention a bunch of these fantastic near/sub-kilobuck IEMs it makes it a lot harder to justify those pricier options in my mind.

  • @arthurhaywood2184
    @arthurhaywood2184 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Not ever displaying sibilance is not a positive, it's a flaw. Sibilance is not always the fault of the iem/speaker. Very often it's in the recording & if it's in the recording, it should be represented in the playback if that playback system is accurate. It's probably why you don't feel that the Monarch II is as resolvable as it should be.

    • @Gizaudio
      @Gizaudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Owning both I can say that I enjoy having both of them. I would say my ultimate set if I were to sell everything and only keep a few for life. I'd keep VX for the super engaging details and high energy listen. Monarch MK2 for relaxing and general all purpose, and Z1R if I want earth shattering fun bass. Those three and I'm set. Switching around is differently fun and it keeps you from getting bored or getting too used to the IEM and losing the magic feeling. So yes, you'd benefit from own both, they are different enough and both play it's own specialized role very well.

      I now have both.
      The KATO sounds better than my old Etymotic ER6i and I couldn't tell the difference when compared to the Dusk. Probably because of MP3 quality. The problem with the KATO is I cant keep a seal; always pushing them in farther. They are heavy and hurt after awhile.
      I bought a Hidiz S9Pro and a nicehck pure silver 2.5mm cable for the Dusk. I also use the medium spring tip from the KATO. These fit so much better. The little silver cable is more comfortable than the KATO cable.

    I love bloodborn and dark souls ost ,the choir.😎
    Quite honestly, 300$
    If you don't mind the open back.
    It s a headphone, the sennheizer hd600.
    Natural vocals guarantee.
    For iem just be exotic
    I feel like I would be more compelled to to buy an exotic iem than a exotic headphone.
    Even though i got the sundara .(headphone. )
    300$ you just want reference vocals sound the hd600 Is the answer.
    If you have to get one iem ,make it special
    I would like bring more clarifications.
    The hd600 won't make you move ,they aren't design to do that.
    The hd600 will give the truth .
    The hd600 is gonna spit the fact as it is .
    So you rarely will dance with the hd600 .
    But the vocals are a standard.
    While fun headphone/ earphones will tell you a story.
    If I have to get an iem ,I want fun as well as the vocals
    I m in search of a fun and creamy vocals with sparkles
    Something that would make the ost ( lady maria of the clocktower /bloodborn) more immersive than a hd600.

      In my experience, stuff like Dark Souls/Bloodborne OSTs (and indeed some other japanese dark fantasy soundtracks) is one of the few areas where Beyerdynamics are superior to Sennheisers.

    I have the original Blessings 2. I honestly flipped a coin between that and the Dusk. Overall I have been very satisfied with them as my first big IEM purchase. Never have I heard such a detailed midrange.

    Timbre should be first.
    Who cares about tuning when your set sound off.
    Tuning only second if not third
    All of your pics are sibilant.
    Best timbre non sibilant set under 300$ is found in the Tanchjim Oxygen, the only real end game for most of us.

      Clearly, just like people have differences in preferred tuning(s), people also prioritize different aspects of IEMs. It’s honestly quite unreasonable to assume that just because you feel that way about those characteristics that others should value them equally and in the same order of priority. There’s absolutely nothing ‘wrong’ if someone were to take your list and literally flip it in reverse order. I personally value comfort a lot and would place that near the top, above timbre actually..others, like yourself, don’t even mention it under criteria of importance. Different strokes for different folks..keep enjoying your music!

      how come he said he played the most sibilant nightmare tracks for the Monarch Mk2 to test it? are u saying he completely made that up and lied point blank? cause why does he claim to hear it on other IEMs but not the Monarch Mk2? That means he can hear it. Otherwise u mean he completely made all that up?

    • @davidcoons89
      @davidcoons89 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Viewer13128 in literally have no idea what you’re talking about..it’s obviously a consideration for many folks in the audiophile hobby but I sorry but it’s completely ridiculous to suggest that your criteria should be everyone else’s. It’s entirely asinine really. And when on earth did I suggest he was lying or being misleading in his video? I never even remotely hinted at that, as that thought never even crossed my mind. Enjoy your timbre above all else if that’s what makes you happiest. It’s not the number one single criterion for me. Nor number two. And I couldn’t care less if someone else prioritizes different elements of the hobby. Calm down and don’t get so worked up buddy..it’s not good for the heart.

      @@davidcoons89 ok i'll explain. i was not accusing you. I was asking if he was lying because it can't be a mistake if he said he can hear the sibilance on other IEMs (meaning he can hear those frequencies). so i asked you because u said all the IEMs on his list were sibilant, while he directly said the opposite of what you said and actually claimed to have run it through hell tests.
      that is why i asked if he was plain lying or not, because i cannot say his ears can't hear those frequencies since he said his ears can. so the logical explanation could be that he's lying.
      i am asking about the Monarch Mk2, for my own purchasing decision, not for bringing him or you down.
      I only want to know if he is lying for my purchasing decision, not to bring him or you down.
      maybe other youtube comments tend to be heated, cause i have no idea why you thought i was worked up (at least not against you or him). i was more in a moment with myself from seeing complete opposite claims during my research and immediately posted to get a clarification.
      maybe u haven't experienced this, but when researching and coming across exact opposite claims, it means one source might be wrong. if i don't figure out why the different sources are saying complete opposite things, then im basically stuck. thus i had to ask you why you were claiming the complete opposite, and if that meant he was lying.
