SIr this is my way of approaching. I hope at least someone is reading. The movement when I'm being asked to sell a pen, I will start questioning my interviewer as you demonstrated in this video. But instead of elaborating characteristics of the product, I will try to scrutinize whether my customer has the potential need to buy a pen. To check that out, I will ask the following instinctive questions to confirm it. When was the last time you bought a pen? What sort of brand do you prefer? use & throw ball pens or branded fountain pens. If I receive positive feedback predicting his requirement to use a pen, then only I would move on to features like It's durability, smoothness, and cost. And if his response does not project his necessity, then I would swiftly halt myself right there apologizing him "sorry sir! this pen is not for you" thank you very much.
That's right. That's also the phenomenon of AIDA which stands-Attract or Attention, create attention which leads towards Interest that will make customer to take Action. Thank you
