Give the PRO time and it's going to shine. It's a good system and when you're in front of it playing these games you can tell the difference in my opinion.
its really not its a minor upgrade across every game this game originally came out 1997 thats 27 years then it got re released in 2020 of course it can hold this game at 60 fps. You guys will accept anything and act like its a god send..Then when it come to wukong it goes down to 1080 and barley holding 50 fps like how is this and upgrade? 99 percent of games you can't tell difference.
with cpu being pretty much the same it won't really ever be that much of a difference in future either. PSSR can only do so much. BUT if you just want 60 fps at fidelity then it may be worth it to you.

Like he said, Rachet and Clank is the only one that's hard to tell. I even tried Days Gone from ps4 . And could instantly tell the graphics are smoother and sharper with the pro

A lot of this comes down to each game dev optimization as well. There is a clear difference in games like FF Rebirth and that’s for sure. I have both and I’ve complained on my base ps5 about the horrible fidelity on ff7 rebirth performance mode on the base ps5. Now with my ps5 pro I have smooth 60fps with amazing fidelity. It’s hard to describe it just by watching these on our phones it’s also how the games feel. Awesome job on the video. Also why was your 4080 super build 5k? I built my 4090 build for 3400. I could only assume you went with like 64 plus gigs of ram and like a 8 tb ssd? Any ways keep up the great work. And yes I paid retail for my 4090 at 1599usd.
I literally was about to get up and go to gamestop for my ps5 pro then i watched this . The difference is super minimal. I got a LG Oled C3 and the regular Ps5 still looks good. Guess i have to see it in person but i really had to squint extra hard.
You're trying to pander to all sides...the ps5 pro is absolutely better and in person it's painfully obvious. The price breakdown of the extra 250 dollars of hardware in the pro turns out to be exactly 250 dollars more worth of hardware. The price is fair, you are getting what you pay for.

We you got to really think about which one is which, in my honest opinion it’s really no need for an upgrade right now until the next console comes out.
With 720p on my phone, I couldn’t tell you the difference between PS4Base and PS5Pro. Just like at 144p I couldn’t tell the difference between Killzone PS2 and Killzone Shadowfall PS4.
I noticed that the pro has more dark shading, and some of the gameplay instead of the slim. Slim has more light. But there was some things that the pro show up better with the graphics.
80% price increase for 15% overall real world noticeable difference isn’t a good console value, just because it’s better doesn’t make it worth the money and people that pay that much extra for that little improvement just allow these companies to keep screwing us, I mean if you’re a pro gamer or TH-camr at-least you’re making money so not really being scammed but for everyone else🤦♂️, just Sony price grab while beta testing pssr & ai upscaling for ps6 in 3-4yrs, the fact most people have hard time telling difference without stopping playing the game and trying to look for it tells ya all you need to know, 👍👍 on your videos

Love the video but I think it is kinda hard to really tell.Just only because the videos are decompressed.Even me watching it on 4k it's heavily decompressed, but for the most part I got all them right especially like God of war, you could just see the color difference on the left side. It felt less colorful of the snow, and on the right side, it felt more colorful with Snow
I got Spiderman 2 only for the better (imho) sand cloud, Alan Wake 2 for better reflections in puddles, NCAA for best brightness, COD by chance, and GOW for best ambient lighting. For R&K I thought it was left because objects in the distance are sharper, I got TLOU2 and Demon's Soul wrong because I didn't notice any difference.

The difference on supported PS5 games is very apparent in person, assuming you are sitting reasonably close to a large, high quality 4K display. Most people are watching this (compressed) video on their phone/tablet/laptop. Also, you have to consider that developers that have the PS5 Pro devkit for years during a game's development cycle will be able to optimize even better for those future titles...stuff like GTA6 will run best on the PS5 Pro.
Knowing what to look for it’s actually very easy to tell which footage is from the footage. Even from a TH-cam upload. I still think it’s not worth the $200 price hike, maybe if the pro controller was packaged with it along side the drive and stand.

@ I was about to say. My guy got those NASA speeds for gaming. But if it’s only 500MBPS that’s still too slow. The fasted I’ve seen on my Pro is 1.1GBPS but it’s rare to go over the 1GBPS. I’m doing that with WiFi 6E

I honestly thought that the PS5 slim looked way better for Red Dead 2. I would have thought that would be the PS5pro for sure. Some of the other ones it really wasn't much of a difference to me other than the lighting These mid tier upgrade systems are just another huge F U to the loyal consumers. Left looks like ps5 pro. At first glance I thought the right was because it had darker shadows. I'm shocked that I don't know for certain which it is. And it's side by side!!
Got 6 right out the 8. Some games were so easy to justify: smoother fps (demon souls), more ray tracing (alan wake2) more vibrant colors (god of war) I was watching on an LG 77" oled so not so difficult.
5ghz manual select is quite useful actually in some cases like my isps router has locked it to where i cant host multiple ssids to have 2.4 and 5 ghz separately.
I missed 3. Man the one thing I noticed if u look really hard the pS5 Pro colors look more saturated and those ground highlights really stand out. I saw someone playing 2K on a pS5 pro and the colors are super super saturated.
People in the comment section just blabber. It’s very noticeable in person vs on TH-cam with compression. You can tell a difference in games that use the pro patch
GOW and Demon Souls you could tell by the frame rate and detail. AW had the puddles NCAA colors popped slightly more SM, TLOU, R&C I got wrong, literally could not tell the difference in motion. Very telling. Let’s me know I can hold off on the upgrade.
The pro was on the right every time. I was curious about it, but that price knocked me out. A lot of other things I’d rather spend that kind of bread on.
I am little confused on the hate. I get the price thing. However, the PS5 pro delivers what it promised albeit on the expensive side. It so hard to find the difference between quality mode on slim and PRO mode. But with the pro mode you get 60fps or higher and let’s face it we as gamers have hit the ceiling when in come to graphics, hence why AI is becoming popular. To be able to use upscale tech on a console to render images that are sometimes even better than some 4k quality while still playing 60fps is wild to me. I always thought this can only be done in pc space, which is you I built my 3k pc (4090).

Well comparisons on games running at 60 and another at 30 fps aren't really good. But overall among all games I couldn't tell the difference on all of them, only a few. But only certain games have "pro" patches.
Man... I got a 1080p tv... but even on that i could tell ragnarok pro was the one on the right. i think i could tell easily if i had a tv that cost as much as the console. most of the time anyway.
The pro just came out so idk if you can compare bc no game has been made with them specs in mind so im not sure if its the hardware or the games if the game was made for base ps5 it’s not gonna look that much better on the pro bc the game itself isn’t upgraded to the pro specs

I guessed right on every one. Either one was noticeably blurrier or you can see the judder of 30fps. That’s also through shitty TH-cam compression. In person there’s an even more noticeable difference.
@@Trainboy1EJR it doesn't have to be OLED. OLED works on base ps5 too. It's the 4k an 120hz that makes the difference. The framerate is SMOOTH and the game is sharper. This is what PC gamers experience every day. I don't need OLED to see difference. But OLED overall is the best for ANY console or PC.
I think all new games going forward will be great on the pro! But if devs start bringing out pro patches for older games that would amazing! Elden ring for a start!!! Rdr 2!!!!

I got most of them right. I Alan wake 2 right. I got rachet and clank right I collage football game right, I got cod black ops 6 right and I got god of radorok. The only ones I didn't get right were Spiderman 2. Last of us 2 and demon souls
I missed All of Us II and GOW Ragnarok. Ratchet and Clank is my favorite game. I have played through that game so many times, I immediately new which was which 😂

To tell you the truth you can't go wrong with either one of the systems The PS5 slim and pro are both good And if I didn't already have the PS5 bass console I would have went with the pro because it has a little more space than the bass console without buying an extra SSD which I know some people don't like the fact it don't come with a disk drive but that is no concern since I went digital a long time ago I bought my PS5 digital edition about a year ago and I just recently added a two terabyte SSD so really there's no need for the pro right now for me anyway And I have a 8 TB USB for my PS4 games And I went digital back in the PS3 generation when my disk drive broke and never went back to physical media

Tlou2 had a choppier framerate. Look at the dead grass or straw in the beginning and that judder is very noticeable. If he had moved the camera around you would’ve really seen the difference so not a real fair comparison trying to hide the framerate. Same with Demons Souls except you could see the 30fps in that fat roll lol.
Crazy thing is when Ps4 came out,,it did not support 4k output,,but Ps4 pro did so it made sense to upgrade,,but this Ps5 pro has more more defined colors on screen more memory thats it,,,,,all I have is one question....how bright or vibrant are the graphics going to be...every console sales pitch 😂😂😂its not worth $700
Ratchet and spider man got me but the rest I was able to find the difference. For the last of us I was able to see better draw distance. For alan wake 2, the puddles gave away. God of war and demon souls just looked sharper. Black ops and sport game I ignored lol
There are two tells in every game except for one, the only one I got wrong (TLOU). Watch for the ray tracing on metal especially and objects in the distance like the crowd in NCAA or the buildings and ships in Ratchet and Clank. I woulda bet money on that TLOU footage. You sure you labeled that right lol?

I have the pro, and it's actually producing more noisy visuals than my slim on most games. Added reflections but less clean in most cases

Knowing what to look for it’s actually very easy to tell which footage is from the footage. Even from a TH-cam upload. I still think it’s not worth the $200 price hike, maybe if the pro controller was packaged with it along side the drive and stand.

I honestly thought that the PS5 slim looked way better for Red Dead 2. I would have thought that would be the PS5pro for sure. Some of the other ones it really wasn't much of a difference to me other than the lighting

Got 6 right out the 8.
Some games were so easy to justify: smoother fps (demon souls), more ray tracing (alan wake2) more vibrant colors (god of war)
I was watching on an LG 77" oled so not so difficult.
5ghz manual select is quite useful actually in some cases like my isps router has locked it to where i cant host multiple ssids to have 2.4 and 5 ghz separately.

I missed 3. Man the one thing I noticed if u look really hard the pS5 Pro colors look more saturated and those ground highlights really stand out. I saw someone playing 2K on a pS5 pro and the colors are super super saturated.
People in the comment section just blabber. It’s very noticeable in person vs on TH-cam with compression. You can tell a difference in games that use the pro patch

You can get a pretty good laptop on sale for $700. I would do that any day over getting the Pro.
GOW and Demon Souls you could tell by the frame rate and detail.

TH-cam compression makes it tricky with some, but God of War even with youtube compression was very easy to tell the difference
The pro was on the right every time. I was curious about it, but that price knocked me out. A lot of other things I’d rather spend that kind of bread on.
I am little confused on the hate. I get the price thing. However, the PS5 pro delivers what it promised albeit on the expensive side. It so hard to find the difference between quality mode on slim and PRO mode. But with the pro mode you get 60fps or higher and let’s face it we as gamers have hit the ceiling when in come to graphics, hence why AI is becoming popular. To be able to use upscale tech on a console to render images that are sometimes even better than some 4k quality while still playing 60fps is wild to me. I always thought this can only be done in pc space, which is you I built my 3k pc (4090).

digital foundry have found that games that have been ps5 pro enhanced have made a markable difference, unpatched games not so much.

Well comparisons on games running at 60 and another at 30 fps aren't really good. But overall among all games I couldn't tell the difference on all of them, only a few. But only certain games have "pro" patches.
Man... I got a 1080p tv... but even on that i could tell ragnarok pro was the one on the right. i think i could tell easily if i had a tv that cost as much as the console. most of the time anyway.
The pro just came out so idk if you can compare bc no game has been made with them specs in mind so im not sure if its the hardware or the games if the game was made for base ps5 it’s not gonna look that much better on the pro bc the game itself isn’t upgraded to the pro specs

Pretty hard to see for sure given it’s on a much smaller screen but slow them down and look closely and you’ll see the intricate detail and colors that the Pro gives. Been loving my PS5 Pro and it has made me wanna play even more. PSSR is amazing technology.
I guessed right on every one. Either one was noticeably blurrier or you can see the judder of 30fps. That’s also through shitty TH-cam compression. In person there’s an even more noticeable difference.

And you need a 4K 120hz VRR OLED in person! XD OLED really does make the difference!

It's the 4k an 120hz that makes the difference. The framerate is SMOOTH and the game is sharper. This is what PC gamers experience every day. I don't need OLED to see difference. But OLED overall is the best for ANY console or PC.

Hard to say from TH-cam but can tell you when you play on OLED TV its really big difference in graphic and PRO is really good even in games what I don't expect like World of Tank is huge difference in graphic.. people mostly hate New Pro because price or stupid recension but console is alsom 🙂

I missed All of Us II and GOW Ragnarok. Ratchet and Clank is my favorite game. I have played through that game so many times, I immediately new which was which 😂

Lets be honest the only difference important are the higher framerates.
To tell you the truth you can't go wrong with either one of the systems The PS5 slim and pro are both good And if I didn't already have the PS5 bass console I would have went with the pro because it has a little more space than the bass console without buying an extra SSD which I know some people don't like the fact it don't come with a disk drive but that is no concern since I went digital a long time ago I bought my PS5 digital edition about a year ago and I just recently added a two terabyte SSD so really there's no need for the pro right now for me anyway And I have a 8 TB USB for my PS4 games And I went digital back in the PS3 generation when my disk drive broke and never went back to physical media

Tlou2 had a choppier framerate. Look at the dead grass or straw in the beginning and that judder is very noticeable. If he had moved the camera around you would’ve really seen the difference so not a real fair comparison trying to hide the framerate. Same with Demons Souls except you could see the 30fps in that fat roll lol.

Ratchet and spider man got me but the rest I was able to find the difference. For the last of us I was able to see better draw distance. For alan wake 2, the puddles gave away. God of war and demon souls just looked sharper. Black ops and sport game I ignored lol

There are two tells in every game except for one, the only one I got wrong (TLOU). Watch for the ray tracing on metal especially and objects in the distance like the crowd in NCAA or the buildings and ships in Ratchet and Clank. I woulda bet money on that TLOU footage.
