Hi Tim, love your work. Inspired me to start using watercolor. I looked everywhere but couldn't find the size of the pencil you use. You said it's 3B but what's the size? Thanks!!
drawing out the painting while having the reference on the video together really helps my eye see how to create the scene better than I have ever seen anyone do that before. Thank you.
Thank you for another great video! How you simplify a photo is probably the most important aspect of the demo, for me at least. Good to see the reference top right of the screen. It would be nice to compare it to the painting at the end too. Thanks for sharing your skill.
Thank you Tim for an excellent video full of good instruction as always . I loved the finished result . I have just bought a mop brush in the hope I will be able to improve my painting skill as it works wonders for you ! Here's hoping !!!!!
@@TimWilmot I will gladly sit through some adds if I am watching a tutorial bu someone who has put so much time and effort and Im sure, money into their craft then takes the extra time and effort and I'm sure, money to offer a platform for people to watch helpful videos any time they please and we don't have to pay a penny for.....yeah, I think I can manage sitting through a few adds....
Hi Tim, Great video! Actually the first paint-along video I completed more or less satisfactory. I have one question though; I see you creating the beautiful colours quite rapidly. You do list the colours you use at the beginning but I have my colours in a different order which makes it hard to replicate them. Any tips on that before I start the next paint-along? And which video do you recomment for a beginner like me? Thanks again.
For me the order of the paints does not matter. I know some keep the warms and the cools separate, but I don't. My order just suits me. Many of my videos are suitable for beginners
Hi Tim. Excellent narrative throughout the painting (especially for beginners) and a wonderful depiction of a sunlit street scene. But whatever happened to the face of the figure? Did you simply forget that bit? Naughty. :)
14:09 ... It always amazes me how unpromising this stage looks. A less experienced painter needs to muster a lot of faith that anything good can come from it.

A beginner should work on assorted techniques and color theory and water control etc. before they are able to compose a painting, but after they get the hang of the basic techniques and are comfortable with mixing and knowing how to work the color wheel etc. and they are ready to start painting a composition I think this painting in the video would be a pretty straight forward and 'easy' scene to work on tackling. Not saying your work would be as fluent as his on the first try but I have the suspicion that if one were to try this painting and after, they reflected on their mistakes and have an idea what they need to work on and then adjust and try the painting a second or third time, I think it may turn out to be not as hard as it seems. I mean, yeah, it may be 'hard' to get through it without some frustrating but that comes with the craft; watercolor is not an easy thing to master and even those that are considered 'masters' still get frustrated at times and run into problems they need to work out.

Glad it helps Candi
This painting turned out so beautiful! The final reveal seemed much richer and more vibrant than when it was still taped down to the board.
Thanks Jason

How much have you earned on painting?
He has earned respect and admiration from all his fans and followers...that is the main thing
Very little. I do it because I enjoy it and I like sharing my interest with other like minded people
Sorry Tim I am a beginner and would not call that simple sorry
Sorry John. I do have other simpler ones
