For people who don't understand: Tail's plane got hit by many robots that Eggman sent, while the plane was crashing down, sonic jumped off, not even knowing what happened. Then he finished the Wing Fortress Zone, but when Eggman hopped on to his ship to escape to the Death Egg, there was no plane for sonic to jump onto, which means he can't jump onto Eggman's ship, then he goes back down, and sees a trail of blood with Tail's plane, he goes foward, looks up, and saw his worst nightmare, Tail's body, scattered into 3 parts, sonic knew he died from an impact so hard, he fell down and cried.
