    The training atmosphere is sooooooo based on reason and with 0% aggressivenes, just everybody responds to reason and logic. And the training is very informal. Thats so nice to see!

      Yeah it felt (still does when I train there) like home!

      This is the best way to train. Informal and lab-like.

    Sigung elevated Wing Chun so much.

      He really did for his era. But what he always said that he is sure that this is what Wing Chun was in the past around the time of its creation. He was sure of this because he 'picked up the message' by practicing the forms and pondering the name Siu Nim TAo (and what Ip Man told him which is Lop Nim - to cultivate an idea rather using brute force)

      Yeah its not easy to be able to feel let alone utilize one's Center of Mass in this way.

    Fascinating of using the centre of mass in kicking, how does that differ from a Muay Thai kick ?

    • @MindfulWingChun
      @MindfulWingChun  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mui Thai Kick is more of a whip where the power is generated by the supporting leg and twisting of the hip to whip the kick out. In this method of Wing Chun the power source is the Center of Mass and we try and have the body and leg moving simultaneously

    is it because he uses tan tien in his movement?!i think tan tien is what he calls center mass..all these great masters use tan tien but in order to understand the world what he does really mean he just calls it center mass.its correct.when you use tan tien which is called to be the center of the mass the you can produce a large amount of force in every kick..

      No he said he doesnt use Dan tien in what he does. He uses his Center of Mass to power his movements.

      I have heard Sifu Sergio uses the term Tan Tien, does he infuse Tai - Chi into his practice in Wing Chun?

    Bunch of nonsense

      Ok 'sifu' Rey. You are more than welcome to come to any of the open seminars to see if its non sense. Its not easy to understand what is going on (actually it is if you spend a little time watching more videos on his channel), but its not easy to believe from your personal experience if you can not been exposed to this essential side of Wing Chun.
      I myself was skeptical even when I was learning from his student in sydney. This is before I met him. As soon as I touched hands with him for the first time in sydney, not only did I become a believer but I dropped everything and moved to Hong Kong to train directly under him for 10 years before he passed away. I wouldnt do that if it was non-sense
