Great video!! The Wels catfish is an interesting species. The video should be an indication of how the Wels catfish will eat just about anything that moves basically. Honestly, I am glad these aren't native to the U.S.. They'd clean out lakes in a heartbeat because they are such aggressive predatory feeders of live food and fish. How many of you would still think it's cool when you learn this thing will even eat a small house dog if you let him play in the water long enough? They resemble the flathead or Opelousas as they're referred to in Louisiana.
Wels cats are active predators compared to our ambush predators in the states. Closesest we get to that kind of aggression is the occasional flathead taking a lipless or swimbait

The only thing I could compare it to is a flathead catfish that smashes everything on the river like a smallmouth bass would. So awesome. Would never ever want these guys in the U.S. though our rivers would be cleaned of everything. Would love to travel across the pond and catch one someday
