- Here are some objects in the GD level editor that don't get used a whole lot, as well as why they're not in very many levels. Consider subscribing if you like the video so you can be notified of more like it!

Now that I'm uploading this, I wish I had included breakable blocks. They weren't ever commonly used. Anyway, let me know if there are any more unused features I left out, and check out an entire video I made on Mirror Portals!

wtf i use background effect off like almost in every level i make
i find them very noticeable and i always perform better at wave when they arent there
Least used objects could be unlisted objects (like old colour triggers or old saws)
Good point, there are a few objects that aren’t in the editor anymore
@@rootbeerfloathaspop3301 there’s actually a half-size default square that has the same line thickness as the regular sized one, so if you scale it up it looks like the default block but with really thick lines. Same for the slabs.
i think a good solution for the fade and enter triggers would be to turn every one of them into a single trigger.
You could choose in the "fade and enter" trigger what fading effect could be used. This would give room for more triggers and would make it simpler in general
The BG Effect trigger can actually be useful in certain cases where the particles get in the way.
Woah I wasn't expecting the Shake trigger, lots of great levels use the shake trigger very well, sure it's a minority of levels, but it still feels often.
true
When I first played geometry dash and didnt know how triggers worked, I thought that the animate trigger was how people moved objects and was so confused lol.
eating a bechamel penne pasta at 12am watching this
Time zone moment
Fade trigger is actually pretty cool
THE BG EFFECT TRIGGER IS A LITERAL LIFE SAVER, WDYM
Low detail mode :
@@JustKille I mean when creating, the bg particles look so ugly
The animate trigger is awsome after 2.2
3:12 And then I show up. (My best level is centered around le mirror portal)
i think with shake triggers is that their used fairly often, but they are always turned off.
Mirror portals are actually very glitchy. In chaos impact by therealdarnoc, if you enter the mirror portal at the end of of the first wave really early, you can entirely skip the cube portal. I know that it’s not just bad hitboxes because I made a macro to make it do the glitch, but if I use the macro with no mirror on, it won’t skip the cube portal.
this is actually so underrated
for my part, I create many levels but never could I use the mirroir portal because I don’t know how to use it well, when I return it turns but nothing special, I can’t place floor or other because otherwise the objects to use appear on the screen and mess up the level even before I took the portal. Could you make an explanatory video of how to use it and make a level with please🙏🙏
