You seem to forget, the UK is not a gun obsessed Country. The chance of an officer having a gun pulled on them is pretty much zero. The offender is more likely to try and make a run for it if they are in possession of an illegal firearm rather than use it.
But if anyone is going to come across someone violent and carrying a gun it is police. They have a very scary job especially when they are unarmed. Look up Dale Cregan, look up Raoul Moat. Look at the Matt Rattana death just last year. Police getting shot in the Uk isnt as rare as you think
@@paultaylor9498 If you get into a crash from bad driving people will likely survive due to the low speed and the cars safety features. Get into an accident however at ridiculous speeds and death almost guaranteed, if someone doesn't die they're at least crippled for life or in a coma. It's not about the accident, it's about the outcome of the accidents. Why does this need explaining to you.
@@paultaylor9498 If you weren't speeding you'd be aware of your surroundings and realise someone is stupidly changing lanes without indicating and you'd have time to react by slowing down or switching lanes yourself. I've had plenty of times on the motorway where someone has done what you described and because I'm not speeding I have had more than enough time to react and avoid an accident. If you're speeding, especially doing 150mph you don't have time to react to anything and the collision would be more devastating and likely send both your car and theirs hurtling across multiple lanes into multiple pieces causing collisions with other vehicles meaning even more people get hurt. This is common sense, I am struggling to comprehend why you're not understanding stuff this basic.
Then why are some cars designed to go over that. Stupid take. Theres just a time and place for everything and yes i agreee 150mph when theres other innocent civillians around its unacceptable
@@Incog4 There is no time nor place for a member of the public to be driving above 70 along a motorway. If there is a medical emergency you call for an ambulance.
It's entirely possible his insurance did cover him driving the car, but he lied because he didn't want to be involved with that traffic stop. I mean I'd have admitted it if I was insured. The passenger seen driving it earlier wasn't convicted I don't think?
The policemen/woman went to the passenger side of the speeding car. We drive on the left here so the driver's seat is on the right. Take care of yourselves. Love from the UK
Not just roadside cameras. Police have ANPR systems (Automatic Number Plate Recognition). When a vehicle is driving, even in the opposite direction, the police vehicle is continually scanning other vehicles on the road using high-speed cameras and advanced image processing technology to read and store number plate information, along with timestamps and sometimes additional data like vehicle images and location data. If a vehicle is reported stolen or does not have valid documents associated with it i.e. Road Tax, MOT or Insurance etc an alarm goes off instantaneously. It works in real time and alerts police to problem vehicle as they drive around.
You guys should check a TV show called hunted out. It's a game show where teams of civilians go on the run from the law for so many days for prize money if they evade them. It'll show you some of the technology and tools the crime fighting system has. It's a great show and interesting to see what they can do
I know many think the unpaid work is a let off, but it really isn't and by making these people give something back into the community it benefits society.
Being a police officer is serious risk, most of them receive many threats and have targets on their back. Police officers have been shot many times in the Uk while being defenceless. Look up Dale Cregan, look up Raoul Moat
In the UK there are cameras on all motorway bridges and also on other major roads . The new ones can see perfect and see exactly what you are doing The clock the speed you are going , I f you are breaking the law by using a mobile phone while driving cause that is against the law .😊
The police on there own are def not in danger as they would be in america were everyone carried guns,in the uk it's very rare, but speeding is big fine and no insurance it's vehicle impounded on the spot
They most certainly do use MPH in the UK, all road distances are in miles and speeds are in miles per hour. Edit: the commentary on the show they're watching consistently states speed in miles per hour.
The WPC is biased. She's using language like 'He's made off' = suggesting he's already been detained and is escaping. She's surprized = she's disappointed. And 'excuse' he gives rather than reason.
Well done for redoing the video.. The only content you would need to blur or shadow is BBC content. Anything else on British TV is commercial TV, so adverts and unregulated as opposed to the BBC.. Road wars is another great reaction content option. Traffic cops as well. There's years worth of that video type to react to.!!. Glad you reposted without censorship. 😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇬🇬🇬🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
She's a fully trained Police Officer.....knows how it works and did a good job.

Driving at 150mph should be a mandatory prison sentence as far as I am concerned.

You have to remember we do not have a gun culture like you do in US the majority of people in the UK do not own a gun.
Police on their own - this is England, not as much violence as you’re obviously used to.

our cops are not afraid to do there jobs alone // PS back up is never more than a few minutes away and we dont carry guns
Our police don't need back-up. They are trained to do the job. Also, there are usually two police officers in each car.

Driving that fast should lead to license revocation! Crazy, careless people!
I've been in a car driven that fast...on the Nurburgring.

No insurance is an automatic vehicle seizure/towing.
Our police (our forces in general) are hardcore. We couldn’t have had the biggest empire in history if we weren’t made of strong stuff.

they don't use MPH in the UK, they use KPH as they are metric, 100 kph is like 62 mph ... so

As a former Driving Instructor in the UK I'd like to disabuse you of that notion, we absolutely do measure our speeds and distances in mph and miles.
