The same things happened then as happen now, only at lower speeds and without safety equipment. I had a ride in a 1939 Plymouth. The owner and I were laughing out loud when we drifted through a gentle bend at about 10MPH with tires squalling. It was as fun as carving it up with a Miata at 50.

0:54 I will be hell scared driving something like that!! No ABS,No TC,NO Stability... But i like when driver lean to corner from car:):) 3:51 What is that thing? Sounds very muscular,i8 engine?
You better be best buddies with the one next to you. For some reason I now wonder how long a Mercedes Benz Viktoria or Ford Model T would take around the track.
Looks like the positive camber may have been to reduce steering effort. Certainly makes it more interesting, so many drivers sawing away at the steering wheel trying to maintain control!
Holy Shit we have got safer, but in reality (and in real world comparison) not that much faster!!! How do they sit in those beasts with balls that big???

92 is a Maserati 6CM, a very late version.
95 is also a Maserati 6CM, an earlier version that no.92. No.95 seems to have been raced at Monaco a few weeks ago!

Bruh that BMW 328 sounds so good love that Thing.
That was great! So much positive camber on those old cars must make them quite a handful to drive!

@@dougm7744 to compensate the tendency of oversteering as well
