The 8 thumbs down can kiss my grits!!! I lost a close friend in Iraq during my 2nd deployment and I cry like baby everytime I hear this song!! Thank you brother, I miss you 1st luitent Levi Barnard, may God Bless your family and I can't wait to see you again!!!
As a Funeral Director, who has served too many active duty patriots, I recommend this song to be played at their funerals and always get a positive response.
Thank you. I've pictured it playing at soldiers' funerals. I heard Corey went to play & flew back with a soldier's casket & wrote this song. I wonder if that's true
I lost 4 of my best friends in 08/09 in Helmand and kandahar province. This song played in every funeral. It means more to me than most ppl in my life.
Just heard this for the first time in 8-9 years? It just breaks me up. Thinking of the great guys that I went over there with and couldn't come home with. So proud of them and what they did, but I'm still not sure it was worth them dying. As I watch it get worse and worse year after year, it just seems like their lives were thrown away in an effort that wasn't worth the cost.
