Killmonger Erik well here’s the thing, ok? If you were rich and could just buy and buy then go to cons and cherry pick good books, it would take ALL the fun out of it. I promise you. I have met some people who are so called rich collectors and they have to find obscure obscure books that nobody would ever have regardless of how much money they had because these books may or may not even still be in existence! Like some of the books that they were referring to I can’t even remember what they were because it’s these small niche books that you have to search worldwide for. Another thing is that these people are very picky, and they’re snobbish and it comes off very pretentious and they have a kind of high and mighty attitude but they are never having any fun at a convention when you see them. Like all the stuff that they have at conventions and they don’t have an interest in any of it. It’s like if they can’t have their specific thing they are looking for then the whole convention is a waste! They don’t even try to find anything new to get into they just stay pissed off that they couldn’t get their “rare thing” (that may or may not exist, remember) and they stay pissed and fuming. I like having things that I had to hustle for like my hulk 181 that I hustled hard and traded hard to acquire. I haven’t sold it and I only look at it every few years but it always brings a smile to my face because I felt like I earned it. I was told no by so many vendors that I was discouraged about even getting it and with an hour left I went to the right booth made the right deal and walked away feeling very good and with a sense of accomplishment. I wouldn’t have that if I had a pocket full of money and then said “gimme that”, I mean, that takes nothing.

I have a graded 1.0 X-Men issue 1 and I love it despite the fact that it’s off white with tape and some marker spots on the cover. I’ve seen it go for $2000 but I have no intentions of selling it.

Just discovered you guys today. This is awesome. My dad got in me into comics, I watch these videos with my daughter. My dad used to explain Adam Warlock and the infinity saga to me, in the 90s. As a little boy. Explained the x-Men to me. This is so cool. I would love to get these comics and restart collecting. I am going to see what other videos you guys have.

Love those old X-Men books! They’re historic! I have a non-grade X-book Magneto almost killed Kitty. Deadpool’s 1st appear in New Mutants a CGC 9.0 over $400 is the most expensive I won off eBay. Mysterio’s 1st appear in Amazing Spider-Man is blowing expensive to get after Far From Home.
