I remember in MA we had no alcohol sales on Sunday due to "Puritan Laws" and NH would snipe the sales by advertising their liquor stores as "Open Sundays!"

I would like to point out that, as a member of the church John was referencing, the text doesn't save anyone. The pastor had already led a prayer for salvation, the number was just to better enable the church staff to follow up and disciple them in their newfound faith. We had forty people decide to follow Jesus and text the number.
I think Covid would’ve had a more humans helping humans effect if the government didn’t take the control too far then slap us in the face w/hypocrisy. I think we wanted to do the right thing.. unfortunately the right thing was so polarized & everyone was getting stomped on from all sides. It was a lose lose even when trying to help ppl.
I am so glad I don't have the Instagram app installed on my phone. I get annoyed by notifications and would be even more annoyed by seeing status messages/notes from people.
Tipping is out of control. I’ve cashiered at many places.. cashiers should not be tipped. They get hourly pay & don’t do anything extra. It’s very straightforward. I think Starbucks is asking for tips now after you pay. So awkward.
😂 Just a little bit of random education on “hair growth” from an esthetician & instructor. It’s a total myth that hair grows back thicker when shaved. Shaving doesn’t affect the hair follicle at all. You can, however, wax which will eventually cause the hair to come in softer, thinner & growth to decrease as waxing pulls the hair from the follicle, in time, damaging that follicle. Waxing hurts though (quite a bit according to my husband) so def stick with your manscaping. Lol. Ok……I feel like a nerd, but it’s the teacher in me. 🤓
Oh gosh, John talking about Earnhardt's last laps immediately brought me back to that day and watching it live, celebrating then, waiting for the news, then finding out. John didn't mention Earnhardt was in 3rd blocking the rest of the field so that Michael Waltrip could win his first race (one of Dale's drivers), all while he held off Dale Jr. in 2nd. This is why I mentioned celebrating, it was a historical moment on many levels.
I don’t think danger is the illusion.. I think safety is. I don’t think football is worth death. There’s dangerous jobs which involve saving ppl like firefighters. That’s a noble & worthy cause. Entertainment not so much.
