The Gallardo got this engine in 2008. Before that they used an actual 5.0 Lambo engine. The S6 with the 5.2 has been produced from 2006. The 5.2 is an Audi engine that went to the Gallardo and later to the R8.
@@mrrciq If you look closely, you can see that the Lambo V10 5.0 is suspiciously similar to the Audi V10 5.2 They have the same long piston stroke, which is very typical for VAG engines and atypical for Lambo
@@vana6666 Good to know. I never had a chance to look at the Lambo 5.0. It's hard to find any information about its origins. Audi supposedly denied it being derived from their 4.2 V8 too.
Awesome car I just got one here in Belgium for 5800€ with the Mil-Tech exhaust system ok some engine problems and 230000kms but now all is in order, garages will charge you like crazy for repairs so I did it myself with my mechanic friend, in the end it cost only like 500€ in parts to repair, but I did look up replacement engines just in case the price range was about 3500€ luckily that option was not required, really nice video keep up the good work and content 🤘👍👌
Best all around car money can buy (under $20k) right now. If it was available in manual trans, I'd own 3. The Audi V10 engine and trans are bulletproof, unlike the BMW versions.
The owner of the car is on vacation, and waiting for him to get back. I'm dying to do it! In the meantime, I may have a Dodge Charger Scatpack video coming.
The engine is heavily detuned for more low end torque and less high HP so not quite straight out of Lamborghini LP560-4

They aren't hard to find at all where I live. But considering the maintenance cost I don't think I'll be getting one in the near future either.
