@@HenriqueRJchiki Oh, maybe we are talking about different things? You click on the first training camp, then right click to set the rally point for that training camp. So far, normal. But what I found by accident was if you set the rally point on a second training camp the units will march from the first (after training) and get trained also in the second one. The Troll training unit is similar to Battlerealms system that you need to train the basic unit to the advance tier, this is why i love this Race, also that chonky Mugwa Cub
Yeah hero choices would be great! I'm learning the hard way that for Orcs for example, the Occultist is a much more noob-friendly opener than the Goblin Shaman (now renamed Warlock for some reason)... stuff like that and which spells to pick and why. For example, looking at IndridCasts, I see that for a Human Mage hero it doesn't make as much sense to go for the Blizzard ice spell against Elves or Dark Elves because of so much ranged in the Elven/DarkElven rosters (makes little sense to slow stationary archers)... but makes more sense against Orcs or Trolls or even Dwarves best because they're more melee oriented and have to close the gap.

I just found out the channel, and was looking for someone mentioning Battle Realms after watching the video, which to me seems pretty clear that game is the inspiration for this race. The way you train units there is by going to different buildings, and you can mix and match for different tiers and units, all of them resulting into the tier 3 unit when going to the 3 basic army buildings. Also, you get peasants (workers) in a per-time basis, much like SF3. Great game I would recommend to anyone, specially if you like the Trolls, even if it's an old game. Check Battle Realms Zen Edition on Steam if you are interested!
Playing Journey, I was wondering if Trolls might offer the strongest deathball unit comp in combining max stack hexing units (mixture of ST, AOE and melee aura unit). Is there another race comp that rivals or surpasses this sustainable a move deathball?
Everyone has a perfect late game deathball. The difference is in the economy and the character of the units. I'd say that the Troll one is the most A-movey though, and easiest to handle thanks to the low unit count.
@@NakamuraRTS Thanks! The accessible eco (scrap/offerings regardless of map conditions) and low unit count (better gains with aura's) indeed made me hunker down on them. Tripling the attack damage w life leech, add +40 resistances makes chunky boys even more beefy chunky! Are ironbeaks worth their while? No clue how a max pop DE deathball would look though. Or how a human one could stand a chance, their units seem.. inferior (eco/market aside).
@@nickdonders6899 Ironbeaks are worth it for sure, but probably not for the late game army. The Corpse Seekers do offer some nice area denial, at least, but the other types are not late game units. They are definitely essential against Dwarven Dropships, though. For DE, it's Striders, Twisted Ones and Emissaries. It's as good as the Troll army. Humans would run with Flag-Bearers boosting Champions and Mentalists for the most part. In the late game, Humans really don't want to fight without their Titan in the end game, either, as it offers a 500 HP shield on each unit.
There is a really wild rush to wall breakers using the chieftain hero at level 5. It can end games right there. Others have options too of course. Dark Elves can only really steal sectors, but the others can run down bases given an advantage in basic units. Rare for top players but definitely a threat still.
As many as you can fit around the scrap pile is possible. But typically you don't need more than 3 while scrap piles exist. They'll be gathering at triple speed from a scrap pile compared to auto generation. Every 5 seconds you'll generate 3 scrap on a pile, but just 1 without it.
Go to 3:55, you'll see how you can upgrade them at the Hitting Camp, Throwing Camp or Hex Camp buildings! Simply send Smashers or Ironbeaks to these and they will automatically upgrade. Set a rally point from the upgrade building (such as to your hero) to easily manage new upgraded units joining the fight.
Trolls are unimaginative zerg ripoff because zerg units can mutate into different units and troll units also turn into different units. Also hydralisks spawn in amounts of 1 and so do many troll units. /s Thanks for the guide this is my favourite race so far :)
Mugwa big! Mugwa great!
By the glory of Mugwa!
Playing with Trolls also has a hidden perk that makes it less painful to wait for the Ogre Kingdoms :)
"He faster now!"
I love the way you can chain the training camps using rally points, and get an unsupervised production line going.
You should do this in real games too! Could link to godstones or your hero.
That's a very very very basic RTS concept though...
