We did the same thing in our “Creator Cabin”. I got some black pvc caps from Amazon to cover the wood screws we used. The screws that came with the brackets are crap 😂
Hello. The link for the stain goes to an ebony coloured product, which looks really dark on the product page colour swatch. Is that right? In one of the other comments under this video you mention an oak coloured stain. Can be hard to tell how these things look online compared to once they hit wood.
Ah! Do you know what year zones were brought in by any chance? Also, I suppose I wouldn’t trust that the zones have been stuck to even in a new build so I guess it’s a guide only.
@@AliDymock especially in a new build! From what i can gather safe zones were first mentioned 1981 BS7671 15th Edition. They have changed the terminology to 'prescribed zones' in the latest 18th edition. I am not an elecrician but John Ward's channel good resource for this sort of thing
@@AliDymock i carry a japanese saw in the back of my yaris as though places like b&Q will cut sheet material they won't touch timber or decking etc. My other half won't let me get a roof rack either!

That's right, but colour matched by Johnstones.
the 'zones' will only apply if the electrics have been signed off to a particular version of the regs or later. Older houses will not have safe zones!

Well it's some 'golden brown' exterior stain I have but in the description I link to an oak coloured stain I think would be a similar.
