Jen- I just love your attitude about things . I often have to watch your videos in two parts as I have a sweet little boy who is very active 90% of the day. But I love listening to you while I fold the laundry and getting ready for work in the morning .
I struggle with both anxiety and depression (which is ever so fun in this dumpster fire of a year - let me tell you, I have gotten really efficient with my coping techniques) and sometimes just finding something to smile about feels like trying to climb Everest (which I’ve never done, but assume is on the difficult side). But I used to get this one subscription box and it made my day every time it arrived. What was in it was completely frivolous (Star Wars goodies). It didn’t solve anything or magically cure my depression, but it always made me smile no matter how bad my day was and that little bit of positivity was everything to me. That is the true value of things like my subscription box and your D23 box - they give us a reason to smile when nothing else around us does. Now that I’ve said that, can I just say how much I love the fact that Bald Mountain features so heavily in that box? Chernabog has always been my favorite villain and I just love when he gets the spotlight.

What a great video! Today I got some hope in my heart because I got to go work in my music classroom for the 1st time since March! All of my teacher friends were there in our cute masks, healthy and optimistic for the year. (fingers crossed.) 1 day at a time I believe things will turn around. You can't stop at just one though. Yeah it's really hard at the moment - I'm trying to work out how to do an insurance claim for a household fire, summer in the UK is definitely over, and that mental vacation to a fantasy world is much needed!!

(Jane) I can totally relate to your D23 box bringing you a reprieve from the emotional toll we are all feeling. Last week I was in a TJMaxx and I saw a shelf full of Mickey Mouse insulated lunch bags. I really wanted one but since I am working mostly from home now I really don't need it. As soon as I got home I immediately regretted not getting one. Today I was back in that area of town so I made a special trip into the store to get one of the bags, but when I got to that shelf, they were all gone. I was so disappointed! I took a chance that they had been moved and looking around I found some on the clearance shelf! So I got one and on sale, Yay! I think I'll give it to my husband to give me for Christmas. (I may not be surprised, but I'll still be happy!) While I was in the socially distant line to pay, the woman behind me noticed the bag and started a conversation about Disney World. For the rest of the day, that inexpensive bag made me feel so light and happy and helped me imagine future Disney trips instead of feeling the heaviness over our current stresses. I like to think of it as Disney therapy. Enjoy all your new treasures. Thanks for sharing!

Maybe you can turn that patch into a Xmas ornament (if you are a little crafty) When each of my kids were born we began a Christmas ornament box for each of them. We would add ornaments from everywhere they traveled, let them choose one each year at the store & add one to the box that reflected what they were interested in that year. Of course, many are Disney related! 😊

It’s a beautiful resort but make sure you understand how the resale restrictions work. Might affect you if you ever decide to sell.
