Drift through Tiputa Pass, Rangiroa. The tides move water in and out of a lagoon 80x30 km size through narrow brakes in the atoll ring - passes. This creates fast rivers in the passes. Divers jump outside the pass and hang in the blue, drifting but not realizing how fast. Then, as they start seeing the bottom, it gets closer and moving faster and faster.... - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
wasn't looking for an underwater rave, but I found one
Trust and I’m not mad either
😂😂😂😂 this made me laugh so hard
Lmfao I’m actually dying reading this😂😆😂
lmao imagine hallucinating while diving
Gold
legend says they are still behind that reef waiting for that current to stop
legend also says the oxygen ran out long ago.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
As an open water with only 16 dives, I would be shitting myself if this happens to me. You can tell they are experienced and know the spot.
I agree with you
They dont know how to clip their things with bolt snap so not really that experienced
How do you escape this?
@@batman4y2k You don't try to escape, you go with the flow. Fast drift dives are some of the most exhilarating dives you will ever experience. Drifting on a wall dive is even better, you get to play Superman:)
@@zahimiibrahim3602 Cool, thanks for the speedy response, but just today I heard about 3 men drowning because of Underwater currents in a river that pulled them under, any experience on what to do in that situation? I hang out near rivers more often than the ocean.
>:( disappointed there was no surfer turtle called crush riding the current
😂😂
lol yeah iwas searching for that
I just an clickbait or something else lol
Im guessing your one of the people that put thumbs down in this vid lol
Me too >:( I demand refund
That's solid teamwork and knowing what to do.
imagine how terrifying it would to see the reef pass u as ur sucked down into the abyss 💀
Had that shit happen to me once, i love drift dive, one panicked and we went from 30 feet to 120 feet in like 5 seconds...Still love drift dive, it's the person who breath that is the man
..or Worst..fast ascending current without means to prevent rapid ascent 🙈🙈🙈🫁🧠💀
@@jimmygadd thats scary af bro
Cameraman did an excellent job capturing that moment.
There are actually some dives where this is supposed to happen, it clearly isn’t here, but there called drift dives. I went on one and our whole crew got swept out into the drop off area, but when we came up the boat was within 100 feet. Probably the best dive of my life besides a reck dive.
We did it at the dive known as “Texas”, in Honduras.
Barracuda in Cozumel is known for fast drifts.
All obviously experienced divers.
Shadow H. Mask they were just having fun withe the current a lot of experienced divers will do this for the thrill.
this needed to be said?
I would say that too until i saw the SPG flapping around. I guess they dont know what a bolt snap is.
The guy in front is dragging his spg though
They ain't DIR
i love swimming underwater, I consider myself apt. But watching this video made me realize I know jackshit about diving. Holy shit.
Looks amazing (and dangerous), gotta hit a good diving school.
Not really dangerous. You just relax and go with the flow.
I was thinking they were about to do an underwater dance off and I was so ready for it.
That looks fun. That's my favorite part of swimming in the ocean is the current lifting you.
Hah the fish did the same thing
Best choice of music ive seen in a long time :D !! Nice !!
Sofian Salem hahahah right?
Actually, it sounds like someone farting a lot throughout the song...
Techno is nauseating. The video was stupendous though.
Thought the same! I love trance/techno/psytrance
Not really
great skills by those guys and gals. awesome.
This is amazing! I love drift dive!!! I must do this!!!
That looks sooooo fun! Like an underwater lazy River.
Have only had 14 dives but had a drift dive off Nusa Lembongan as part of the advanced course. Went for about 30 mins along the reef and was freaking out the whole time, but was awesome. Was very fast. Key is to keep your cool and manage the breathing.
I’m diving in Indonesia soon. I’m getting my OW and AOW while I’m there. I am doing a liveaboard in Komodo after I am certified. I know the currents in Komodo can be strong, so I am trying to prepare as much as possible so that I can be ready for them
Getting my PADI open water and was surprised to learn that some divers ride these currents on purpose... impressive. I want to get to that skill level one day.
Win dumb prizes
This happened to me at sipadan on my 12th dive, I wasn't nearly as calm as these guys 😂
Am I the only one more scared of them scraping their knee on the rocks
Honestly this music suited this clip so well. They were fk'n VIBING.
Subnautica 2 looks awesome!
U mean subnatica 8 cuz these graphics are like 69k graphics
Look at that breathing pattern so calm
That is some strong current, but it looks like a blast. I never made it to Rangiroa, but I really wanted to get there at some point.
The best part was dolphins on perhaps half of the dives, They'd come up close too.
The background music makes it even more terrifying
This looks amazing. I’ve only done one drift dive so far but not as strong as that.
Loved the music.
looks amazing be so much fun as close to flying as were gonna get :)
How long do currents like that last for normaly? I know there might be a clear answer on that....
They go back and forth with the tide changes. Look at Rangiroa on a map and you will see lots of little islands circling a big lagoon.
dude drifting underwater
Imagine if currents took you down rather then sideways
Sometimes they do.
Absolutely cool and Dangerous at the same time!!!
I can't imagine the Adrenaline rush 😵
Maldives...?
Thanks for sharing. All best wishes and good health
That looks really fun!
Imagine them listening to this music real-time with headphones
Those are some insane speeds! As someone with barely any practical experience with diving, are such current speeds common in the ocean? And this there some specific conditions that cause this?
Lived in Hawaii my entire life and never seen a current this quick.
@@ikaikae6948 It's in the pass between the motus. At tide changes the current rushes through.
I’m sorry guys I have no idea about diving & this question might sound dumb, but how can you see that this was a fast current?
All movement is drift with the current, the divers are not swimming with their legs. Also, check bubbles at the end. Normally they should go straight up, the sideways movement is due to current.
Reminds me of an epic dive I had on Barracuda Reef, Cozumel's furthest northern reef. God was it beautiful, absolutely pristine and so much different than any other reef environment that cozumel presents. Too bad we all were superman the entire way through, i mean it was cool.. but we were all moving so fast that you just kept an eye on what was in front of you, and trying to find any sort of structure that you could use to slow down a little and let the group catch up. This was a 1 and done dive, if anyone got separated even for a moment the dive was to end immediately. It was freakin intense.
That’s one hell of a drift dive
Drift diving is fun.. just sit and enjoy the ride as boat follows ur bubbles no finning ... Washing machines currents are not fun though when you get tossed around and you can taste the last meal in your mouth.
This is how a drift dive should look.
Dude, that is terrifying...
Looks amazing and nice team work. Now lets do that in night time.
What happen to them?
крутоооо! был у меня один такой в Индонезии. Самый крутой дрифт 50 минут так несло ))) это был восторг
Now ik what the wind on SpongeBob is 😂😂😂
You can come up right?
Finding Nemo anyone?
'Righteous!!!'
Andizu1 - Yessss!! 🙌🏼🐢🐠
I was waiting for Wesley Snipes to swim up and start slaying underwater vampires
So what happened here? I’m confused bcs I don’t know scuba.
Raw footage of camera man in finding Nemo
drifting side way or heading downwards? what depths?
Drifting horizontal along a channel (Tiputa pass), 25m depth
How do they get back up?
Boat was drifting following the bubbles.
Ive been in similar current. Its a blast!
How in the hell do you free yourself up from that? When do you let go??
KOO KOO CACHOO Then ya sailin out into da big ol blue!
Lucky they had scuba tanks.
Best BGM ever
Nice!
That dive leader is awesome! I love the way she lined her divers up to hit that ledge together...! 😂😂🤣
What about that poor sucker who was drifting and doing acrobatics with the camera rig?
How do you know it's a she
BRO THE MUSIC
Props to the camera man who recorded everything while having a 99% risk of getting killed
Don't fight the Sea!!!...sic music...x
Hu is?
I've been in this situation before, diving in a place called hells gate. The name should have been enough to give it away, at least. Here to tell the story
Everyone says about the current, but the truth is these divers have master taichi swimming style.
Damn coooool where is here?
Titputa pass rangroia
thats rock n roll current....fun drift diving
Ngl dis sum funky beetz
I really want to know what was going through the mind of the person who chose this music.
Why do I feel like I can't breathe watching them, like I was under the water with them?
no wonder people die in the ocean. if that thing got a hold of you you're up ships creek.
Divers with oxygen tank: Whoa this is cool
Divers without oxygen tank: AHHHHH HELLLPPPPP
awesome
The thumbnail got us
Who’s the dj🔥
Had my glow sticks and was at it!
Were they going down or sideways?
Sideways, along the pass channel, at about the same depth
@@FLICKETTI how do you get out of a current? Does it eventually subside?
I know with rip tides it can circle around back to shore....but with that underwater current...how were they supposed to get out of it?
At that place the current is moving water in and of atoll ring. It stops inside the lagoon, if the current is from the ocean into atoll (high tide). The trick is not to dive in low tide, when water moves from lagoon into ocean.
in and out of atoll ring in high and low tide
Yet the little fishes were quite happily swimming in it.
i can imagine this could go bad very fast
I thought of those tourists who have not returned from their diving to the boat, and got lost in open waters. Maybe a rip current took them. Also it could have been a shark there too. But i give you tumsbs up because you choose to live without fear. So even if you die because of it, you had life to the fullest. I would do it too if I didn't fear.
I have experienced a current like this and me and my buddy got separated but everyone got home safe
WOOOOOOOOW...... how fast is the current >>>> see the bubbles at the end of the video when the hang up to the reef !!!!!
Wow, see the bubbles direction.
Alcyone, Coco island.... hell of a current
Its cool that fish also hides to avoid the current
POV: me and my buddies walking into the techno stage
Its like an ocean treadmill lmao
Thank god my hobby is drawing
Is this dangerous for anyone who knows I'm not well informed
Only dangerous if you panic or don't know what you are doing, just relax and follow the flow, horizontal drifts shouldn't be dangerous
Players has joined the matrix
Deploy safety lines with buoys downcurrent to stay near a boat close by.
Never wear a snorkel while conducting drift dive in strong current
wow...formula 1 ..
so it is possible... thats good to know
prob look kinda cool in their pov
WTH at 1:07 why i can hear something saying..mooooo,mwaaa,mwoahh,muawhhh..Sorry if you dont hear that thing.
Currents scare the shit oitta me. As a fairly innexperimced kayaker i wanted to fish the tampa bay. Its the closest saltwater to me, so i said screw it. Man, on outgoing tides, it goes out, fast. I couldnt paddle against it. Had to find a sign and tie off to it and wait for the current to stop. Great fishing day though!!
