    11:34 is a +2 to put out the fire if you're prone. So it'd be a 4+ not a 6+

    If you love rapid fire I think you will love the squats a lot of their unqiue weapons just have rapid fire or inrease the rapid fire die for an existing weapon

      Awesome thank you! I highly recommend jumping in and playing some matches wherever you can find any. Much like blood bowl I waited years to get into Necromunda but once I did I was not disappointed!

      I'm trying to get things set up for terrain storage and get a couple of gangs together for my son and me..
      I'm sure a couple of the other guys won't be far behind... Covid sloooows things down but between my brother and son we should be able to get started
      Would a 3x3 suffice?

    • @StaticElf
      @StaticElf  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dustgod1264 Absolutely. We play on two 4x4 tables and two 3x3 tables and they both work. I personally would limit the terrain to 9 “Large” pieces of terrain (usually buildings/towers) on a 3x3 but we also use the Zone Mortalis sections with no real restrictions other than they need to stay on the table. Also you can use the “You place, I place” terrain method where once one player says no more the other player can place one last item. Smaller confined battles have their own tactics but are no less fun and in no way take away from the game! Just try to vary it up over time perhaps for next campaign maybe? Good Luck!

    Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪✌️
    Again, fantastic tactics video! Shared and liked.
    I run an Escher Gang consisting of 2x Death Maidens with Venomclaw + Needle Pistol and Photon Granades. What do you think of the Weapon Setup?
    Cheers.

    Starting Van Saar in a Dominion campaign. Don't really understand why I would go Plasma Gun over the Combi Laser/Plasma.

    • @StaticElf
      @StaticElf  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      MuRReC the answer to that is the “Combi” weapon trait. It is much easier to run Out of ammo for a Combi weapon. And once you have run out you may find yourself only as good as a ganger if you have to fall back to a Lasgun or autogun. Or worse if you didn’t pack an extra one of those. Last thing you want is that Trick Shot Champion running around trying to punch fighters because your out of ammo with everything

    Do you and your group use any of the additional rules from the book of perils. It wold be good hear your strategy for the different gangs in the different terrain types?

    • @StaticElf
      @StaticElf  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will look into adding some gang/terrain strategies into a coming episode! Currently we have only use the “Dramatis Personae” (Bounty Hunters) from that book as well as the Manufactorum Raid Scenario. Although I have been wanting to sneak the Conveyor scenario from that book into our next campaign!

    Useful information, but I didn't know it was possible to mispronounce Cawdor :D

    Hey Static, thank you first of all! Was missing any Necromunda tactics on TH-cam! :)
    How do you deal with the versatile? As Cawdor player I charge in and hit, say the enemy survives and the next turn I activate that ganger first. Am I allowed to use the shooting profile of the weapon?

    • @StaticElf
      @StaticElf  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! Per my understanding your character IS engaged due to the Versatile rule and would need to Retreat out of range to fire a BS weapon. This is because when “standing and engaged” you only have two actions you can take - Fight or Retreat (no shoot ☹️)

      @@StaticElf Thank you, I looked at the rules when I saw that and was like. A bit overpowered if you then can shoot too. Looking forward to further tactics! :D

      I've just seen this comment, hope it's still relevant.
      But that's not the case - versatile only has an effect during your fighter's action.
      So if you charge someone, stop 2" away, and poke them. After that action either of you count as engaged. You're free to stand there and shoot, move away, charge closer, stand on your head and do a dance, anything.
      Note that you would also be free to make a Fight action, without first doing a charge action, since you're already within the long range of your weapon. So you could Fight then Move away, or Shoot and Fight or whatever.

    • @StaticElf
      @StaticElf  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kirothe Avenger I disagree with your version in part and the reason is in your explanation. If you can later take a fight action
      then you are engaged. If you believe you can also make a shoot action then you would have to be disengaged. As an Arbiter I would tell player tell you that you can’t be both. I don’t see anything in the rule that says you become disengaged allowing you to take “standing and active” actions but are simultaneously also still engaged which would allow “Standing and Engaged” actions.
      But I do agree with you that you could probably take a shoot action in the next turn. Because of that last sentence that says the versatile has no effect at other parts of a players turn. Meaning you are now disengaged AKA “Standing and Active” and would need to take a new Charge action to “become engaged” again per the charge action.

      @@StaticElfVersatile says;
      "[you] do not need to be in base contact with an enemy fighter in order to engage them in melee during their activation"
      Hence it's pretty clear a Fight action is okay, even without a charge.
      Then, and the most important bit.
      "At all other times other than during this fighter's activation, Versatile has no effect".
      Believe me, I know how badly written Necromunda rules can be. But I think in this instance they're pretty explicit about it.

    Great vid, thank you. I've just started making a gsc gang, in book of ruins it only allows the triple sidearm/pistol attack with the cult alpha, was this changed for champions as well or is that a local rule you play?

    • @StaticElf
      @StaticElf  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the champions don’t get the added third arm benefit of firing a third weapon. But you can still give them a third pistol for that arm. When you fail an ammo roll with one of your primary pistols you will be glad you have that third one to bridge the gap until you can reload.
