- Here you go. Hotly requested by you all and DEHH is delivering again. Das Racist is an alternative hip hop group based in Brooklyn, New York City. They are composed of emcees Himanshu Suri (Heems), Victor Vazquez (Kool A.D.) and hype man Ashok Kondabolu (Dap). After dropping two well received mixtapes, Shut Up Dude and Sit Down Man, Das Racist has been been on everyone's radar.
Das Racist dropped their debut album a few weeks back to rave reviews and acceptance among the hip hop world. Now it's time for DEHH to weigh in on the album. Check out what we have to say about Das Racist's "Relax" here on Dead End Hip Hop. No Politics. No B.S.

@InfamousAct Well...yes. I have never heard someone in their sophomore year in High School rhyme like that. You show me one who can. It's raw talent.
@InfamousAct Not really,but it is when you think about how he was either out rapping or rapping on par with dudes older than him it does make it look better.He's like the Inspectah Deck of Odd Future
@InfamousAct Of course there are people out there who are probably better, but there were people out there who were better than Nas that didn't get the exposure. There's always someone better. But in recent rap, he is a prominent kid coming up that should be recognized. And he is! I just want to see a review.
Being the Hardcore Das Racist fan that i am, i wasnt really feeling this album, from the beginning of the album i was really enjoying it, towards the middle i was really getting a little iffy on the album, then towards the end where they added in some tracks from shut up Dude and Sit down man, is when it really let me down, i mean although i love those tracks from the mixtapes, i would have liked them to put out more than the mixtape tracks.
@aliveinkc I understand what your saying. Some of the stuff played was ok but most is not my cup of tea. I was expecting more Madlib, Little Brother, or Blu type of vibe but they don't play that type of music here.
10 years... Man...
@ashwolves08 I will bro. I am a true hiphop head that takes this culture seriously. I just noticed that there is great music bypassed every week and no ones saying anything.
You guys like Danny brown, thoughts on the song power?
To tell the truth I never really liked them at first but the calypso influenced drawn me into but the first is Radioinactive who also uses that middle eastern type of music in some of his music but it's not popular so that sucks. lol
@80zopo08 nah man thats a song for the radio along with mr.nice watch and that song with trey songz. if you're a mainstream artist and you wanna make it really big you gotta have those "radio friendly" songs. but besides those i heard the album is amazing. Check out lost ones by j cole that shit is deep.
I've got lots of respect for Das Racist, esp their lyricism. Good to see them getting some love
@kingemedia - yes I know there from BK but their sound is parody at best. I would never have Da Racist in my rotation period! This ablum is for the G4 TV audience.
Can u guys do a video on a new rapper whos getting a little buzz? his names Logic and he just dropped a mixtape call young sinatra
Wonder what happened to that guy
exquire next?
One of my friends played me that pizza hut song and I was like what is this bullshit?? But I might I have check out them out too see what all the buzz is about for myself.
Y'all know what's next ...J.Cole Cole world: the sideline story
Heems and Dap are indian and Kool AD is afro cuban
Domo Genesis- Under the influence
Thank you for working so hard to bring us these videos on a regular basis. I watch every one. Looking forward to the J. Cole album review after it drops next week.
No problem😊
Oh damn! Feefo's like 14 y/o on this!
love these classic reviews
@jswilliams669383will Check up on us every once and a while to see what we're doing! We're constantly building and working on the programming of the show so that we can appeal to everyone. Thanks dude.
Despot absolutely murders Power off this album. Despot is like the Bruce Lee of Underground Alt. hip-hop. lil' man is dangerous.
@redblocks989 The middle east is an undefined term. So yes India is the middle east.
Where do you guys live?
do domo genesis plz....
I'd love to see you guys review Casey Veggies - Sleeping In Class (Re-release) and/or Domo Genesis - Under The Influence. BTW, I hope you'll review Pusha T's new EP when it drops.
@jswilliams669383will Ok question...Were u ever a true fan of the shows in the 1st place? If u were, u'd see that DEHH is not about promoting this and that artist and that we do more than just albums reviews. This is raw, unscripted conversations by a group of guys that are passionate about everything hip-hop in general. You're sadly mistaken if u think these joints are just your average reviews. No politics, No B.S....this is real shyt. That's a lil wack that you Unsubscribe, but cool.
sideline story review. please
@hello5425 I wasn't aware that there is a coalition of people who want DEHH to review Earl. Way to jump to conclusions with me being an OF fan.
Damn Ken was fuckin up bad in this one
I think DEHH needs to do a separate review for the mixtapes, cuz this album is so far beneath them lol. Both their coop tapes AND Nehru Jackets. Even 51
I'm glad there are still ppl such as DEHH that still listen to lyrics and digest them.
Earl Sweatshirt's mixtape "EARL"
I know it's late, but I really want to know what you guys feel about Earl Sweatshirt's mixtape "EARL". I heard it for the first time about half a year ago and was at a loss for words. I think that it's appropriate, no matter when the release. Any 16 year old that can spit like that deserves a video from the best rap-discussion channel on youtube.
Nice review! by the way its South asian not middle eastern lol.
Yes I was at that particular time! But at the end of the day I soon realized at the age of 35 my generation of music has ended and the newer music is for the younger generation! There are 1 or 2 decent younger acts that I do like. But I do prefer to stick with my brand of music which is the older music.
These guys really dont understand Das Racist.
Nice. I'm really excited to see these guys and Danny Brown next week.
GREAT REVIEW, Das Racist is cool
@hello5425 aye look, it's what people want. And let's be honest...they were a bit late coming in to review it, but they reviewed the Death Grips album after much request, and got a ton of views. Plus with all the hype/success of OF, it should be a hot topic. Everyone wins. I will hog the videos as I please. And yo, that was my first comment that had anything to do with OF on a DEHH video. Sorry that people like OF. You just don't like music that other people like, you damn hipster.
@mykectown like wise brother.
j cole plz
nice
Review Lost In Translation by Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire
You don't know if they can spit, but they can rap well? The fuck you talkin about C-Town?
I think they can spit
@jswilliams669383will Actually, we are reviewing Evidence this weekend. Phonte is on the list as well. I know Madlib drops something new each week so I'm waiting on something a little bit more solid. We can't cover every single release that has dropped. We are trying to do Apathy and Action Bronson. Maffew Raggazino dropped a project this week. My eye is on all of hip hop not just West or mainstream. I totally get what you're saying so while I hate to see you go, I understand.
@jeffdill its ganna be wack based on that work out track
@bebopbountyhead - Good to who? Its obvious that you real taste...
Earl Sweatshirt's mixtape EARL"
@deadendhiphop
How about reviewing Action Bronson- Dr. Lecter or Bronze Nazareth- School For The Blindman?
listen to kool a.d mixtape 63
The one review I've seen where C Town Mike completely lets me down.
Feefo didnt get the stunna shade memo
the album was really good and it was my first time listening to them on Relax and it's really good and craazy I like the very first song Relax and Happy Rappy and also Middle of the Cake, but y'all need to review that Lxor Album now lol
Really need to peep this shit. Loved the mix tapes.
@lolsih101 Ooops. Sorry. You know what I meant! I said Indian, first. I just got my shit mixed up after. Haha!
@VIKTORVOGHNDOOM
I feel you, I think the first two tracks of this album are great, but from then on it's just getting worse. Sit Down, Man was the best Das Racist album for me, though some of the tracks on Shut Up Dude are really good to.
Also I agree the Michael Jackson song sucked but the Amazing one feat. Lakutis is mind bogglingly dope. Das has really great choons.
loool did he just call them middle easterners???? hahaha guess then didnt get the point of Das Racist after all :P
finally people who actually recognize, great review
yo I just wanna say that pajozos beats and modest medias filming style are great.
2 bad they broke up
All I know is that "Booty in the Air" is my shit.
@80zopo08 The album leaked so I *may* have already heard it. There's really only a couple tracks that meet that level of "radioness."
@jswilliams669383will Ev and phonte leaked like 3 days ago calm down bro
@HairyLeg23 Only some pre. Not a full shot.
@patrickp241 - When I made that statement I was prefering to artist with substance and blu was one of them. Don't get me wrong there are some hot west coast artist out that I love to listen to. Its the ones that DEHH has been reviewing that Im not feeling for the exception of Kindrick Lamar, Thurz and Black Opera. All Im saying is that they need to filter the albums their choosing better.
Yo, Indian =/= Middle Eastern
GET EARL REVIEW UP!!!
I can really respect that.
do domo genesis - under the influence and j. cole - cole's world please!
india is not in the middle east...
Domo Genesis - Under The Influence please
BBG IS IN THERE
no they're not innovative
review Domo Genesis Under the influence mixtape
India represent! haha
you guys need to like el-p less
@kingemedia - Now that's what's up! Phonte all day!!!!
cool review
Its an album.
So basically punchlines vs other shit?
@dr0ckisadmac - yeah there from the NY but there wack and there much better underground NY artist compared to these guys. Why waste your time viewing something that's garbage.
@slammnsammy
Tupac can rap, Big L can spit.
0:14 Kbinge
@modestmediatube - I love hiphop man. I've been listen to it ever since '84. But the substance of this channel isn't appealing to my taste of the genre. Im always willing to trying new artist out. But the ones they post are mostly misses. There are great artist that are coming out on a weekly basis but are bypassed for the likes of Watch the Throne vs. The Carter 4. People like Madlib, Phonte, or Evidence are true soldiers of real hiphop but will never be reviewed on here.
GARBAGE
Ok Im about to unsubscribe from you guys. All Im seeing is a whole lot of commercial music and alot of underground west coast artist. Don't get me wrong I don't have a problem with west coast music. I listen to the underground but not the these artist your promoting. Hell, out of all my friends nobody listens none of these artist like Domo Genesis which is another west coast artist you guys will probably review....
