The good thing about Daniel is, he's always taking up real topics, unlike most comedians who are worried about impacts etc, he's generally not taking up inconsequential topics (like formal letters, if you know what I mean). And absolutely, he's underrated because his forte is not just humour but also genuine knowledge and understanding, which people seldom want in comedy. It's sugar coated pill and his fanbase is seperate because they truly don't just come to laugh like Sidhhu but take some understanding too.

I often suffer from weird states of mind prevailing over my peace, blues that affect me and my daily life far too often to ignore. I feel like doing NOTHING during those times, but I somehow end up watching an awesome video of yours and feel better. There may be so many comedians out there, making good jokes and trying to make us laugh. But you have been my favourite for three years and you still are, you still will be. Great set man. It’s A LOT MORE than just comedy. I suffer from an alphabet soup of grief/loss related disorders from the recent most painful trauma of my life, and chronic suicidality, potentially lethal self destructive episodes, and crippling depression are part of it. You hit the nail on the head with so many truths, and I hope at least a few audience members go home and self reflect on my favorite part...when you exposed how uncomfortable everyone was in the audience. You just proved how wide spread the stigma of talking about depression and suicidality truly is. We have no problem talking about disease and physical illnesses, or comforting and supporting those who suffer from them, but tell someone you are struggling with a mental illness and see how fast you become alone and isolated and left to your own devices. They’ll have no problem comforting the people who treated you like the plague when you were sick at your funeral though. I guarantee that. They’ll receive FAR MORE support and compassion and empathy than you were ever given.
