I'm here because of Bones. "Sweets, such a sweet and wonderful man". Cant help but love him. His death was a blow that everytime you see it. It breaks your heart.
Awwww Lance 😢 it really is so moving, the unzipping of the body bag, it breaks my heart every time and when I hear the song I just see it all over again. Did not know it was in Criminal minds I need to watch that again. 2 extremely good series to watch.
I love coming to the comments and seeing so many people come here for the same reason .. criminal minds season 10 episode 2.. what a powerful scene..... “thank you” ...
He looked so scared, I cried for him. I cried harder when he said thank you because you could hear the tears in his voice. And the very end when Morgan was waiting for Garcia was just the biggest tear jerker ever
That’s funny thing that you guys herd this song on a criminal mind episode that episode was so sad though that man had no one by his side and one good hearted person went to be there so he would not feel alone when he got his needle injection what she did for him was godly I would of done the same if I made a new friend in need of company on death row that’s afraid to die alone 😢
I was crying with all of you. It's amazing when you think about the mercy of the human heart. Even though we all know he killed before and was about to kill again, we can feel compassion for someone who has no one. It is heartbreaking. It is also a great image of a person that has so much kindness in them that they are willing to do that for someone who tried to take their life. The capacity for forgiveness in all of us is so great. The scene with Morgan in the end made me cry, too. I wish I had a guy in my life who was there for me like that. Someone who just holds you and lets you cry. It is a gift to have someone like that who does it willingly and wants to do it rather than feels that it is required in the moment. There are no strings and no expectations, just support and friendship - and a true hug while you cry. You never really understand the value of a hug until you have been without one for a very long time. I like to read the comments here and see that I am not the only one who comes looking for the name of the song I heard on Criminal Minds. The show used a song by The Fray called "Be Still." The lyrics grabbed my heart and made me cry. My Mom passed away on Valentine's Day, 11 months after my Dad. I did the eulogy for both of them. My Mom was sick for a long time and, in the end, terribly afraid to die. I wrote the eulogy and spent a lot of time recounting all the special things that we remember about her. In the end, I credited The Fray and turned to those lyrics because they were so descriptive of our closeness with each other and what I wanted to say to her so she would not be afraid. The lyrics reminded me of Psalm 23, a favorite of my Mom and me. I would not have been able to recall that song and those lyrics if the Criminal Minds episode had not aired and brought it to mind for me - and made me cry. I am truly grateful. And, I am grateful for all the people who add their comments here on TH-cam.

When he said “thank you” then his grip relaxed, I cried. The final release from the burdens we carry is what a lot of us seek, some in death and some in just letting it all go. It’s a universal feeling. 😔😌
Some people listen to upbeat or aggressive music while working out. I listen to this, and imagine I'm running through the dark woods, just wanting to get lost, while staring at the stars overhead.
Writing to this song is so freaking powerful. I got goosebumps channeling the energy. It's no wonder two of my favorite shows used it for such emotionally charged scenes.
Open eyes adjusting to the dark The growlin' of machinery Can't say if it's night or day And you know, somewhere in there you know There will be a price to pay 'til all this goes away So we walk the empty halls, the dirty walls We smear our names in them Dirt we find beneath our nails Can't be scrubbed from our tired hands, never clean We're never clean We're never clean Walk the halls, soot along the walls Some will smear their names in it While some just go away And you know, somewhere in there you know There's nothing here but surviving 'til something goes away But through the cracks in this machine We see the light, we see the sun dissolve And we feel the pulse of life A better life on the other side, and we wait And so we wait And so we wait Time is lost, found cracks along my bones This metal god is all I know Now something's gone away And you know, somewhere in there you know Our blood's in the machinery Our heart's in the machinery And that's what went away
