    Thank you for sharing, I love these videos, I learn the same coin vanish, but the end of the line was tied with a rubber band and pinned to my clothes.

    Whoa!!!! Both of those were fantastic-- definitely going to try both--- especially vanishing coin since my coin magic is awful-- I need all the help I can get. I have some elastic thread- make I'll try hooking that up in my shirt and the last foot or so attached to the coin is fishing line-- I'll mess around with it and see what works. Awesome!!!!!

    I was entertained by Wes as always. He is always fun!!! I may try the coin with the string trick because I have an old coin with a hole in it and I was wondering what to do with it.

    How do you get out of the situation when people say : "heres a coin, can you do the trick?"

    • @paulhamj6175
      @paulhamj6175 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, if there is any way you can just anticipate that that is what is likely to happen then its ok. Firstly, learn how and get good at SWITCHING IN A GIMMICK. This is what it sounds like: switching a real prop, be it a coin, watch, card, whatever and replacing it with one you have which can then be prepared in all manner of ways depending on the trick you're trying to create..some common examples are ...a Watch is replaced with an old watch smashed to bits, a coin is replaced with a similar coin with a large bend across it, or the reveal of a card number and suit cut out of a coin. the possibilities are numerous!
      So for this trick you could have the prepped coin slipped behind your watch before you go out. When the guy does what you said and asks you to do the trick, handing you a coin, you simply can distract for the moment it takes to do something called 'the de-manche change'. This is a beautiful switch move and tbh it is very easily done, it literally takes less that 1 seconds to exchange the coins and as you can move your hand whilst the dirty work takes place it is effectively invisible! I use it to switch in any gimmick and have never been caught.
      Where can you learn it?
      I learned it from an excellent beginners book: 'The Amateur Magician's Handbook'. Look in the coins section and near the beginning it's this perfectly beautiful move. It isn't very long but that is because there's not much complexity to it at all.
      Enjoy learning it and if you need any ad ice then just let me know right here!

    And if you learn a good. Switch you can do it with a borrowed coin or. Ping-pong ball

    • @paulhamj6175
      @paulhamj6175 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly! Everyone must know a good, working switch! De-manche Change is my go to manoeuvre for switching in any small object and it is so fast and invisiblly executed, I love it.
