'THEY CAN BOTH BRAIN FIGHT?!' - greatest sentence in human history! Well done lads!
bruh firm agree!
We call that ability 'Time Dilating Deduction'.
The cerebral assassins 😂❤
"How much power does this man have?"
There's a reason he's called "The Napoleon Of Crime."
And Holmes is the only person who’s a match against the Napoleon of Crime. Just like Batman’s the only hero who’s a match against the Prince of Crime himself, the Joker.
@@tararocksong5085Yet he keeps messing up by letting Joker alive, while Holmes is ready to sacrifice himself to end Moriarty once for all.
@@gabrielluzlopes5674, yeah there is that little problem with Batman.
I must admit the music in these Sherlock Holmes movies absolutely slaps.
That's what I'm talking about dude, the music in these films surprisingly are so damn good
Hans effin Zimmer!
You should've been there in the theater during that final fight. Sherlock had barely narrated any of his mental fights in this movie unlike the first one, but when he started speaking the whole theater cheered. Until Moriarty started speaking too...
The last few lines in Watson's book are actually how the novel ends. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle intended that to be the death of Sherlock Holmes, he only created him to inform people of that mental scientific method that he had learned from his mentor. But he grew weary of the character because that wasn't the only thing he wanted to write, he never thought he'd catch on so well while writing he put a lot more passion in didn't. So he gave Holmes a definitive end, sacrificing himself to stop objectively his greatest adversary, and one of the best adversaries in fictional history. But due to public pressure, quite a while after Sherlock's death Doyle resurrected him by having him beat Moriarty in a fistfight on a cliff by the waterfall using Baritsu, a misspelling of Bartitsu.
Moriarty fails here because he, being a complete psychopath, doesn't even consider Holmes would sacrifice himself for the greater good, as Moriarty himself only uses his intellect to look out for himself no matter how many others he has to kill. While people think of Sherlock Holmes as just a cold calculating machine, he actually holds his own morality and ethics above his own well-being. The writers did a great job capturing that.
More Guy Ritchie. You'd love The Gentlemen and The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
Great history lesson. And I agree, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. was such a great movie, very refreshing in a somewhat saturated at the time spy thriller genre.
Yes to TMFU & The Gentlemen!
Yeah, excellent movie.
Paul Anderson as Moriarty's right hand man is great casting with him later on going to Peaky Blinders. He's a menace in this film and is one of the few times of where a henchmen keeps coming after the protagonist and doesn't stop.
the way he looks currently makes me quite sad...
I remember watching this and finding him effective and familiar. But I hadn't actually seen him in anything else yet.
Fun (actually sad) fact: Years back, after working on the script for the third film, they finally got one that had Downey sign off on. They also had a window, between his work on Infinity Wars and Endgame. Alas reshoots got in the way so they couldn't get to it. That's the last I've ever heard about it, I really hope they get around to it.
RDJ is still working on it
They hired professional chess players to help with the storyline and used some of the strategies as inspiration for the direction of the characters and story
Man, Jared Harris was great as Moriarty in this. He was also great as Valery Legasov in Chernobyl and Lane Pryce in Mad Men.
He comes from acting royalty, as his dad was Richard Harris (who played Marcus Aurelius in Gladiator, and was the original Dumbledore in the first two Harry Potter movies).
Such a good sequel. Moriarty is up there with the best of cinematic villains, and that forest chase with the slow-mo and focused shots... magical.
A rare instance where the sequel is as good or better than the first. I wish they had filmed a third, especially with the ending being done like that.
at the end of the train fight, Holmes' make-up was very Heath Ledger's Joker-esque. A tribute to the actor who had recently passed.
Holmes definitely looked like the Joker with the blood on his face. It’s scary, unsettling and yet fits the end result of most fight scenes with messed up makeup from women.
To this day, my favorite ending to a movie I’ve ever seen. Had my jaw dropping in the theatre. Phenomenal movie
"Where's the fire? It's not as if Germany's going anywhere!"
"WHO'S BEEN DANCING ON MY CHEST?!"
my favorites😂
Chris almost falling out of his chair before the movie killed me. 😆
"Fun" fact: People used to eat mummies. 🤢
Counter fact : people ate the products used to make mummies,
However some tribes did use mummt ash as substitutes in many household items.
@@okieg8960 And they ground up mummies to create perfume, medicine, paint and train fuel.
That's why there's a huge shortage of mummies left, because it's not like more are being made
You guys should really watch The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. It's like a literary Avengers movie.
Only caught this after watching a few times, the slow mo omelette fight being “interrupted” by the knife throw sets up the slow mo fight at the end being able to be altered unlike the first movie where Sherlock is always right.
RDJ originally used an English accent for his portrayal of Charlie Chaplin in the biographical drama Chaplin. Besides Tropic Thunder, he used an Australian accent in Natural Born K!llers. Other portrayals of Sherlock Holmes include Young Sherlock Holmes, The Great Mouse Detective, an animated series and two live action series
Matt Frewer was Sherlock in one series.
Y'know, the guy who played Max Headroom.
Good second movie. Too bad we didn't get more.
There is going to be a third movie.
"you're gonna break his ribs" ... if you ain't breaking ribs, you're not pumping hard enough
both guy ritchie sherlock movies were awesome and underrated, but this one especially deserves more love imo
The Reichenbach fall used to drive me a little nuts because it seemed like they left no possibility for his survival, so he logically shouldn't have survived (even though he's meant to). At this point, I've retconned it into a cheeky nod to the original story where he was supposed to have died. Thank you for your reaction!
Plot twist: studying all the horticulture material available doesn't guarantee that your plants will live.
Vastly superior to the first. This Moriarty is up there with my favorite movie villains.
Nah he gets that early access plot armor that makes him know every single move that can be made BS.
@claytonkeever2992 that's not plot armor, that's a character skill.
WRONG. AI could calculate things that could happen within parameters, but you can never predict humans especially when your nemesis is Holmes.@@oliviarogers2808
"Breakfast has never looked do painful"
*_GUYS!!!_* It's a *_Metaphor!_* Jeez!!
Oddly enough at the time I was in HS, and I took a Sherlock Holmes class. So we just started reading the "Return of Sherlock Holmes", when this movie came out. So Holmes "sacrifice" and him coming back, I already knew what was going to happen.
I just realize the actress plays Watson's wife also is Beth in Yellowstone.
An interesting thing about the final “brain-fight”, both Sherlock and Moriarty didn’t anticipate Watson coming outside to them. Which means it wouldn’t have mattered about the first fight, Watson would’ve been there to help Sherlock fight and defeat Moriarty. That’s why Sherlock had that look in his face the moment he saw Watson come through the door. He realized he didn’t have to leap off the balcony with both himself and Moriarty. But it was too late. Thankfully Sherlock still survived.
On another note, if you see the expressions on Sherlock’s and Moriarty’s faces as they’re falling you will notice how calm Sherlock is as opposed to Moriarty’s screaming face. It is said that in the moment of danger, if you remain calm you actually have a higher chance of surviving rather than panicking. It’s a subtle hint that explains how Sherlock was able to survive the fall. He managed to find a way out whereas Moriarty was too busy panicking that he probably at that moment didn’t think to look for an escape; thus also referring to Sherlock’s psychological analysis on Moriarty where he said Moriarty is a narcissist and is insane.
I like these two, you don't find many good reactors like them.
They have great energy and sense of humor.
Sherlock committed that Moriarty is a narcissist and shows empathy. That's why the plants died
Don’t you mean lack of empathy?
Nice! And RDJ just won his first Oscar ever!
Young Sherlock Holmes is a pretty good movie too. It shows Holmes and Watson meeting as teens in a bording school. If you watch it, make sure to watch all the way through the credits. Pretty awesome last scene.
Both Sherlock Holmes films are great and Directed by Guy Ritchie who is in my top 5 directors of all time
*"THAT'S NOT BEANS ON TOAST!!"*
This movie is a great sequel. There are many... But we ALL know of those that didn't quite reach the bar.
This movie was almost perfect from beginning to end.
Next up "V for Vendetta".
So, short history of the ending. After writing 2 novels and two collections worth of short stories, Arthur Conan Doyle was tired of Sherlock Holmes, so he wrote The Final Problem. The story introduced Moriarty as a foe equal, if not superior, to Holmes. After dismantling Moriarty's criminal empire 'off-screen,' Holmes led him to Reichenbach Falls in Switzerland, where he and Moriarty threw each other over the falls in a final death for the character. Unfortunately for Doyle, the public clamor for more Holmes wouldn't be sated with just another novel (Hound of the Baskervilles), so Doyle eventually brought Holmes back in The Mystery of the Empty House and all the stories that came after. The words you see on Watson's typewriter are actually the last lines of The Final Problem.
We need a 3rd! With the OGs. Robert is the best Sherlock Holmes! I love both films so much.
So glad RDJ finally won the Oscar.
I hope part three of Sherlock Holmes comes sooner and even more epically clever..
I so wish they made more of these
You guys have to do "Bad Times At the El Royale".... such a good solid flick.
there are not enough people who have reacted to these two movies. they are so incredibly entertaining, but also clever, and especially the execution on this one is PERFECT. that forest scene alone - incredible!! i think gavin from the slow mo guys here on youtube worked a lot on that, which is cool! just all the performances are so...believable! and the music, i mean. just wonderful. glad you liked it :)
Both movies in this series are some of the cinematic experiences in my life, still hoping for the 3rd to come out.
Yz That Ending and WHERE IS OUR PART 3?????!!!!!!
Now when u see the sniper camping and he say that's not fair why does that sound familiar 🤔 that cod 😂😅
I forgot how good these were.
The forest chase is pure awesomeness.
I want a third film so badly. And more characters who can “brain fight” as you call it.
Reichenbach Falls was the author's attempt at ending the Sherlock series. However, the readers were so upset, he was forced to write a continuation of the hero.
YESSSS was hoping yall would react to this eventually!
You're like one of the most awesome brothers I ever seen, I wish all brothers be so awesome to each other. GOD bless you and everyone in a comment.
As far as I know there could be a third movie, RDJ is down with it, such as the producer and even Guy Ritchie, let's just hope they do it.
grew up watching it together with my dad and we both love it and can't wait for the 3rd one to come out
so to clarify: there IS a plan to make a sherlock 3. However, alot of other movie projects got pushed first and it went into limbo. When they finally decided to make the movie, COVID hit and the pandemic halted everything again. Both Jude Law and Robert ended up working other movies which further complicated the matter.
To my understanding it isn't cancelled, but it isn't a movie we're expected to see anytime soon. There is a general framework for the movie and both Jude and Robert are eager to film again, but the studio isn't ready to make it yet.
Let's go! Excited about this reaction.
You two need tag team wrestling championship belts :D
Bro just took my breakfast beans away 😥 I am but a lowly British subscriber, gimme em back 😭
You chose to be British? Looks like it's your fault you no getsa da beans 😎
"He's such an asshole". Oh, you've no idea. Mycroft Holmes, even in the original stories, is one of the most insufferable human beings in literature.
This is a wonderful nod to the Final Problem by Doyle. They ended it well. Chris if you won’t finish the Stand I hope you give these stories a chance. I have faith in you! Happy reading 📖

Did anyone other than me get a Heath Ledger’s Joker vibe when Sherlock’s makeup got smeared?
Big brain fight featuring the brothers?! Heck yeah
Well done winning back us British viewers with the attack on France, these lads know us too well lol
Meh we spanish Will always be better
@@Leavemebejewtube I agree Spanish is always better than the French :D

I saw this and the first movie in the movie theatre when they came out. It was awesome. I love these movies so much. Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law have great chemistry. Loved your reaction.
"The French" Had me in hysterics😂
I'm British 😊
censor that nastiness
So happy you came to this. Enjoy boys. I am. BTW. Don't call us British. I'm Aussie.
3:05 RDJ being the dude playing the dude disguized as another dude
Thank goodness there was a difference between the French and shit 😂
Really hate there was no third one, loved the ending to this one.
Yes! sequel!
Good Morning Vietnam is a movie i think ya'll would enjoy if you're taking recommendations!
Guys, u should watch "Central Station (Central do Brasil, 1998)", it's a emotionally brazilian movie. Fernanda Montegredo who plays Dora on this was nominated on Oscar's Best Actress, being the FIRST latin american actress to do so
Watching this again is making me even MORE impatient for the 3rd installment
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
You should search up what they did with those mummies back in the day. Tea, anyone?

That movie is very underrated
Hi guys great to see u

Noomi Rapace my Swedish Dark Phoenix, I think this was her first ever English speaking role and she did it very well.
Insane to go from Staring in the Swedish Original trilogy of the Girl with the Dragon tattoo to be in this movie less than 2 years later.
She's really underrated in my opinion.
@@shadowking9739 100% agree
good review, hope you watch scary movie 4 next !
Too bad they never made a third film
Your intro reminded me of 'round the twist' intro but that show is Australian.
Hey guys I recommend you to see the Zookeeper is very funny it has talking animals, very funny scenes and the cast is Kevin james, Rosario Dawson, Sylvester Stallone, Nick Nolte and Adam Sandler
Another great reaction from you two can you guys give 2013s film (Hours) a look at it's a pretty good film and tbh even tho this film is great for some reason I thought your opening to this upload was the best and funny
