Don't get too hyped for the medium. I got into anime years ago only to find that the vast majority of them are carbon copies of each other. The same plotless slice-of-life shows with characters and tropes but slightly different from each other (same with Isekais). Attack on Titan is a rarity. I think the only other anime I enjoyed as much was the anime adaptation of Naoki Urasawa's Monster.
33:04 It's not just steam. The Colossal Titans naturally generate a lot of heat on their own. If you think about it, our normal sized bodies generate a constant 98.6 f of heat so imagine out hot a 160 ft tall giant would be. The jet of steam is another ability separate from the natural heat. You saw Bertholdt actually exert effort to let out steam that time on the wall and again to increase the intensity against Armin. These titans produced steam to take out the navy line but now their just marching. It's like Eren said, his friends are free to struggle against the rumbling. He didn't have to blow her away with steam, he just had to wait for her to spontaneously combust from the ambient heat.
Keep in mind that in the first chapter of shingeki no kiojin Wit Studio changed Eren's dream, for this reason at the beginning of this special chapter Mappa corrected that mistake. Mappa made this correction because Eren and Mikasa's dream is fundamental to the end of the story. In the first chapter of the manga and at the beginning of this chapter it is understood that the dream that Eren mentions having had is about Mikasa and him, what was shown in the first chapter before Eren wakes up (titans, toys and corpses) is a change made by Wit Studio and has nothing to do with Eren and Mikasa's dream shown in the first chapter of the manga. The itterasshai that Mikasa says in Eren's dream, is a farewell that is used among people who live in the same house. When a person leaves the house he says ittekimasu (which means, I will leave but I will come back) and the person who stays at home answers itterasshai (which means, please go and come back). Although there are translations like, come back soon, I'll see you later, take care or I'll see you again, a more literal translation that truly expresses the meaning of Itterasshai is, "please go and come back".
It depends on the show with accurate subs from CR. You probably haven't seen that one "translator" boasting on twitter about butchering the subs for shows she works on for them because she doesn't like them and likes to antagonize their fans.
amazing reaction! glad that you are also an AoT Fan! you should really make more videos like this I am all for em. also a TON of rumbling scenes from the manga have been shuffled and moved for part 4. which just adds to the theory that Part 4 will be much longer than an hour. there's still quite a ton of greatness. finally if you are concerned about the ending don't be... try your best to avoid the outrage you will be in for a surprise.
If you haven't seen vinland saga yet which I suspect you have watch it, as its super similar to aot, aside from the fact the characters progress in entirely opposing ways, if you love Erens character development you'll love thorfinns with the latest season, the latest episode is straight kino, wont go into details as idk if you have seen it or not, but if you love aot this much give it a shot
completely agree with you that the final season is the best of the series and its not even close i love the whole show but the final season is on another level. Also agree that I think the ending may be something I'll like i have a few theories as to how its gonna end and i think I'll love it even more for it possibly, we shall see though. One of my theories is the same as yours that Eren wants them to kill him so they are viewed as heroes, I think ultimately Eren is fine with either him annihilating everyone or them killing him.
Nice video! :D Don't bother about manga readers in the comments. I read the ending and I think it is very fitting for the story. Looking at this episode, I think in the anime it will be even better.
Does it not bother you that all the characters are completely chill with Annie? She murdered tons of scouts, she wiped out all of Levi squad but Levi doesn't have a single interaction with Annie about it. He wants revenge on zeke but for whatever reason gives Annie a pass.
He wants to kill Zeke specifically because it was the last promise he made to Erwin, they have all committed terrible acts and to condemn Annie for her actions would make them all hypocrites. Everyone is fully aware that the warriors were brainwashed and did what they did because they thought they were "Saving the world" Although Annie never really cared about saving the world and just wanted to go home to her Father but the fastest way to do that was to capture Eren in season 1, which is why she cries in the forest when she fails.
I used to love Attack on Titan but then I read the manga ending. It went from a goated story to s*** in the span of three chapters. Anime watchers need to brace for impact.
This is the first anime I've ever watched and I'm glad I gave anime a chance, Absolutely Incredible story.

@@Duke16Devlinsome amazing unique anime which I love almost as much as AoT:
Vinland Saga, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Mob Psycho 100, OddTaxi.

(1:11:01) I recommend watching Neon Genesis Evangelion. The series is a rollercoaster ride from start to finish.
Yoooooooo I never expected this, hell yea

But the ending was good
