Tony, you gotta cut out the 5 minute countdown at the start of your videos... No need for that. Regarding Necas, I don't think Carolina's shopping him anymore. With Guentzel gone, they don't have a reason to trade Necas for cap space. Their other center for their 2nd line is Kotkaniemi and we all know he isn't up to par for that role. They'll want a 2nd line Center or a high profile top 6 forward in return. We only have Dach for that and he's been plagued with injuries, so nobody knows if his development has been stunted or if he manages to keep that spark he showed last year. Don't get me wrong, I'd love Necas. I just don't think there's a fit for what Carolina needs, that is if they even intend on shopping him anymore.
With their pending RFAs (Drury, Necas, Jarvis, Coghlan - who's on the cusp between the AHL and NHL) the Canes have 15 forwards, 7 Dmen (6 without Coghlan) and 3 goalies on NHL deals or under their protection and pending NHL deals. They'll HAVE to trade at least 2 forwards. And they just signed Roslovic...
Jarvis will get around 7mil, Necas is worth around 8mil, Drury somewhere between 1,5 and 2,5 mil, and they have 11,8 mil cap space. There is literally no chance they can keep both Jarvis and Necas without getting two other contracts out, and except for Jesper Fast I don't see a guy they can easily flip without touching their core. And they're not shipping KK anywhere without giving high picks to help the other team sponge his atrocious contract.
I don’t know about the cap space situation but I do believe the reason for moving Necas is because he is requesting to be moved. Also the 5 mins at the beginning is so unnecessary. It’s not a half time superbowl show lol

But yes, they're still shopping Necas, or at least they have to. They can't keep both him and Jarvis, plain and simple.

I agree letting Markov go was a huge Mistake. Having him with Weber would have bin amazing specially on PP. Markov could pass through anything and Weber could have played lower down near the wall where he had so much success in Nashville. I would also like to see Kovalev as a PP coach as he has experience doing it in KHL and would do lot more for someone like Demidov then Markov would

The day before the draft Gorton was asked about acquiring a "big name" player. He said -- he doesn't want to stunt the growth of younger players with a "big name" contract, especially over time, and that any short term addition would have to think like the team does. In other words, "big name" stats are not part of the rebuild.
In Kent we trust not Necas . We don't need him there are others . Necas is a distraction. After next season is the time to add perhaps . Not now , latter. Patience Hab fans .
I like Necas but Guhle would be a non starter for me. Yes we have lots of D in the prospect pool but that doesn’t mean they’ll all pan out. Guhle is a solid top 4 D at the minimum. He could develop into a top 2 at his ceiling. I’d offer a first from next year, Jordan Harris and another 2nd and go from there. That probably doesn’t get it done, but that’s the package I’d start the negotiations with
Next years two first round picks will most likely be top 10 picks you’re crazy
I don't want to give Jackeye, Maillioux and Hutson either. If they can content with Harris/Struble/Barron, I would be OK.
Next years pick could be a top 5ish again. Imagine trading a Demidov type player for Necas…

I'm wondering if the Canadiens have too much of an ego to hire Joel Bouchard again after he left the organization. Either as Rocket's head coach again, or power play coach in the big club.

I don't remember if Slaf played (RW) in the juniors but I think so.
With the Habs, he has been playing (LW) though since Caufield is a (RW).
So Slaf is basically a (W) now, but it's possible that he is a natural (RW).
Jagr shortly played as (LW) when he started his career but he was a natural (RW).
Demidov is (C/RW) right now.
He'll likely be a (RW) but it isn't impossible for him to become a (C).
If Slaf got injured, Demidov would likely play (LW) on the 1st line with Suzuki (C) and Caufield (RW).
So Demidov could be a (F) after all which is basically a (C/W).
I understand your concern.
I wasn't too thrilled about 2 superstar RWs on the same team back in the day.
That means one of them is going to have to play (LW), for example Bure and Mogilny in Vancouver.
Bure and Mogilny were never on fire at the same time.
Mogilny played better when Bure was injured, and Bure played better when Mogilny was injured.
Both of them were natural RWs so sometimes it doesn't work as well as expected.
Even if they played together in Russia on the same line with Fedorov, Mogilny and Bure's game had changed by 1995-96.
There's also Jagr and Kovalev who were both natural RWs. With Straka, they were one of the best lines in 2000-01.
So for them it worked, but it did have its issues such as all three of them being left handed.
Slaf and Demi will need a right handed (C) such as Dach and Suzuki.
I think we need someone bigger and faster than Suzuki to be the perfect fit for Slaf and Demi.
Dach does have that potential and I think that he can get there despite the injuries.
The last injury he had was sort of a freak accident.
However, I didn't like it because of the way the Hawk player tackled him over the boards.
It looked intentional, I think it was an attempt to injury.

No way Necas...he's closer to 30 years old and doesn't have impressive enough stats and will probably command too much money for what he can give in return.Why should we pick up Carolina's garbage?We want to go forwards not backwards.

Hage comparible to Max P was interesting. I thought had similar traits as Suzuki. Good one Pierre
@@michaeldove7997 all of Hage’s comparables are guys like Suzuki and Robert Thomas. Guys that said he is comparable to Brock Nelson or Max P. are just lazy in their analysis or just didn’t do it at all.

@@michaeldove7997 yeah Paccioretty is a score first type forward and Brock Nelson is 6’4 ffs. Both don’t have the edge work and fluidity of Hage’s skating ability.

He can't analyze the Habs..nobody can analyze a team when they hate a team...it is like Alec Baldwin doing an impression of Trump when he hates Trump..you can't do these things well with hate and jealousy as your primary motivator.
@@Julio-v1c I’m saying he can’t analyze players. Either because he is lazy and doesn’t watch the films and just go by what lazy people tell him or just invent things. You have two different players here and the only resemblance is their shot. One isn’t a great skater while the other is a great skater, I’ll let you decide which one is the great skater.
@@michaelwou1667 I think Pierre knows this, but he downplays any Habs pick because he hates to give management any credit..that has been a consistent theme with Pierre.
This is why McGuire is not a gm . Necas is overrated. The Habs should not be offering anything of Value for him. Plus we have a rivalry with The Canes. Neither team is looking to do the other any favors. I would rather we go after Zegras. Or to heck with both. Go out there and get Sid the Kid. :D

I very disappointed with the HABS…a lot of free agency out there and they did nothing! They are not trying to better themselves to be playoff contenders for next season or the season after but for 3-4-5 years from now and that’s sad. Marc B buried this team in a massive hole over his 8 years with Montreal and it’s gonna take 4-5 years to undo what he created
