My great grandmother was full Osage Indian..aloe vera was a plant she always had for cuts and burns...I. Burned my hand on coal stove..she put gel from plant on my hand and it stopped the burning..I am 68 and always have aloe plant in my house..
Good Morning, always use Aloe for rooting; but never seen it used with seeds, curious now? We are growing our Indeterminate tomatoes on trellis as well this year, Happy Gardening Ya’ll
Love the raised beds. I'm relearning so much from you both. Was raised on a farm and the ways of the world lead me away. Enjoying the journey of getting back to basics. God bless you both.
If the aloe works, then we could also possibly make some willow leaf tea and water the seed trays with that, because willow is a natural rooting hormone.
Older seeds take alot longer to germinate than say last years seeds.. but they will germinate most of the time. You can expect a lower germination rate but don't give up too soon. Those Hoss tools trays are awesome.. love mine
Wanda I have a mini greenhouse like yours that I bought last year and now I can't figure out how to put it back together. My husband burned the instructions along with the box. If you don't mind may I do a screen shot of yours so I can look at how it's put together so I can hopefully get mine put back together. Once I get this thing back up I'm taking pictures of it in great detail for next year.
I was hoping Danny would plant 6 pots normally for a baseline to compare results from both methods. I glad to see Ms Wanda did 4 of each for comparison sake.
You ever watch Hollis and Nancy Homesteading? He has a wonderful way to garden for us Seniors…he is in Florida so hot area as well. You both I like a lot and have learned a bunch. I am a 4-Her so I always learn by doing!!! 😂. Thank You.
You grow some big aloe plants - beautiful. Since I'm further north than you I am curious to see how your experiment turns out & to learn if some seeds benefit from the aloe while others would not. Thank you for sharing this experience with us.
I use aloe Vera for pain and cleansing wounds. My mom in law at a bed sore and it turned into a infection. I started doctoring it and when the dr went to admit her to the hospital he was furious. God had healed her with the aloe. Natural remedies are taken for granted
Interesting and you will never know if you don't try. First time for us and we are trying the double cup method inside. After four days the seeds started to pop. Next day almost all the others popped. Tomorrow will be one week and we are quite encouraged by the progress so far!
I would also make a "blended smoothie"out of the aloe vera and test it in a fast release style vs. a slower solid form.Required sprouting temps will matter too
Interesting, haven’t seen this. LOVE to see video on how to care for tomatoes in pots. I can grow the heck out of them in my garden but my potted ones only produce a few small tomatoes
I may try this experiment with you. I have a lot of old seeds that I've had a hard time germinating. I intended to actually throw them out, and ordering a bulk order of new seeds... I'll try this first!
I had some seeds that were 5+ years old.. soaked them in water until I saw some of them start to sprout in the water.. (took over 2 weeks)planted and it still took over another week to begin to come out in seed starting trays
I live way up North. However I continue to learn from you and Wanda. My prep's are ready. I KNOW that God IS in control, I'm standing firm. My full armor put on every day.
Did you have a control pot without the aloe for the older tomato seeds? I couldn't tell. This morning in my area of southern idaho was 33° i don't see it getting much closer to 45, but this could be tried inside.
I've seen a similar video but using a banana 🍌 instead. I don't know if you consider Pennsylvania the North or East or Northeast lol but we're under snow cover. We only got snow a handful of times but it stays around a few weeks. I have some clean up jobs in the garden. At least I did some preparation in the fall on my soil.
I ❤ BOTH YOUR CHANNELS. I don't comment much because Ive nothing to add but thanks. Ive been alone for years now - My health has reduced me to existing - not living. It's sad to see my little patch of veg get smaller every year. I know I will never be able to support myself and hopelessness is setting in. Even your videos are beginning to be just a reminder of who I used to be.
Do you have a link for the mini greenhouse by any chance? My Vego is the same width and I am having trouble figuring out which ones off Amazon might fit on the Vegos. Thank you!!
@@DeepSouthHomestead Thank you, I've been watching the Vego ones, was hoping to find a cheaper version for now. Might not be possible. I was looking at one like the one you had in your video the other day. Afraid I'll find out they don't attach like I expect on the cheaper ones and I'll end up with the wrong size. Lol, probably should just save a little longer for the Vego one. Have a trellis on one that is working ok to cover with fabric as needed.
Good morning danny and miss wanda.God bless you. Pray for me please. Leukemia is getting worse just getting over pneumonia. Giant crimson radish are wonderful

💕💗💕🙏🙏🙏 Lord Jesus bless Danny and Wanda’s gardens. We thank You!!!
I take info with a grain of salt😊.. Not many know what they're doing these days. Experimenting is the best way sometimes.
Glad you also have a couple control groups with no gel to see if it’s the gel or the seeds.
It will be very interesting to see the out come on this. Thank you for doing this so we can learn either way.
I love learning something new especially gardening 😁 thank you

Hey I saw that aloe video, questioned in my mind the seed out of a fresh tomato.
Yeah they have a protective coat on them that prevents them from sprouting till next season.

Interesting experiment looking forward to see the result.

I can’t wait to see what happen see it in 15 days. Love y’all thanks for doing he Research for us
Very basic, instructive, useful demonstrations. We'll all find out together how well things will work out. I like it. ..🍒

Good morning
Let's watch and see❤
Thanks Danny & Wanda. Hope the experiment ends well. I think you mentioned the video you went by said 15 days showed significant growth.
Yes
Great experiment! Cant wait to see the outcome. Just in time for many of us to start our seeds. Have a blessed day!
Supposed to be 80 degrees here in Kentucky today and rain tonight and tomorrow
Interesting concept. I can't wait to see how it turns out.🤔
It is so obvious how much you two love gardening.
This will be interesting to see. It also will give me time to plant this way if it works because I've got a few weeks before starting my plants.
Looking forward to seeing the result 👍🏽

I planted tomato seeds from 2016 2 years ago and they came up good!! And I use aloe vera for burns! Works great!!
It will be interesting! The little greenhouse is cute
This is interesting. It will be fun to see what happens!
Thank you both! You are so neat with your garden! I always trust your judgement and honesty! God bless you both!❤️
i have never seen this in my life. Very interested to see how this works for y'all. Thank you for sharing this experiment and have a blessed day.

Love your channel love your cows they're so cute you should throw some Saran wrap on top of those pots that you put the seeds with
Good luck. I love how organized you both are.
I rubbed aloe on stripped bark and it healed remarkably
This is very interesting. Looking forward to the results.
Can't wait to see!!!!
Blessed be !
Looking forward to seeing how this works.
Woooo, fun! I will too. I will try some new sugar snap peas and catnip. Gooood morning, all!
Oh I heard about that too and was seriously wondering if it was true.
Where did you get the mini green house on top of raised beds ?
Amazon probably. Been a few years.
Morning! Can't wait to see if this works.
With y'all's green thumbs & God's Blessings, I expect it to work. Can't wait to see the progress!
Very interesting 😊
I can't wait to see the results:)
🙏🙏🙏🙂🕊👍. Thank you, I am very interested to see.
Not sure about seeds but have used aloe with cuttings
Looking forward to the results
Will be fun to see how works
It'll be interesting seeing the difference

My 2024 garden concerns are the cicadas.....any advice on this please.
Thank you for your videos, huge fan.
We don't have much trouble with them yet.
Waiting on the results!
I am excited. My wife has plenty of that aloe, if this is
Real she may need more
Will love to see the outcome

you might get 1 tomato up in all lol .. they very old
Goodmorning thank you for the tip? Can you show us your new nesting boxes?
I did in a previous video.
I haven’t seen or heard of this one. Very interesting
Very cool experiment, I would like to try use some aloe Vera gel to try and root some cuttings, if this works. Following …
It does work for rooting cuttings I've done that.
waiting to see results,
I should experiment also! We have aloe and I have not yet heard of this fad.
I can’t wait to see if the Aloe Vera works. Thanks for sharing.
I love doing plant experiments!
Maybe plant one or two without the aloe for comparison?
Interesting
are you going to wet the soil or water from the bottom...or does the gel give the seed moisture
The soil was wet when we planted but we will water from the top.
I can't wait to see how this works. I replant pieces of aloe and am at the place of throwing them away I have so many.
Give some starter plants away to friends and neighbors
Do you have a link for the mini greenhouse by any chance? My Vego is the same width and I am having trouble figuring out which ones off Amazon might fit on the Vegos. Thank you!!
Vego has covers. I will be ordering a couple soon to try. They fit and attach to the screws in the bed. But I forgot a link.

I'm gonna try peppers 😮
Won't the cold night time temps prevent the tomato seeds from germinating outside?
It's not cold here.

Do you use Heirloom, Hybrid, or Organic seed? This year I'm sticking with Heirloom.
I've used them all.
No way you can get a plant that size in 15 days .
We shall see I guess.I have not heard of this.
I can't wait to see about the Aloe Vera.
The seeds aloe
Hi man 😊😊😊😊😊
How old does cow manure need to be before using as fertilizer?
6 months or older
Around 6 months old.

Like everything else … time will tell
Danny dont you worry about putting your hands in fertilizer, 🤔😱
Nope done it my whole life with no issues.
@@pecangrovems yeah I just didn't want you to get sick ,💯👍🇺🇲
😳
I read willow was a good rooting hormone. Does anybody know anything about that?
Yes it is I've used it several times.
Ms. Wanda's aloe is beautiful. Mine froze one night when I forgot it outside and has turned to mush. I hope your experiment works.
Mine grew back!
@@miephoex Mine unfortunately is a ball of slime. 🥲
