Hey everyone this is the man to watch if you were thinking of going to Arkansas to go diamond hunting! He has great tips and he has found some beauties! He is real!
There are different species of Ammonites. The variety with the spine is Paltopleuroceras spinatum. I don't know fossils that well but I've learned by watching the boys from Yorkshire England hunt fossils. I'm hooked and as soon as I feel better I'm going ammonite hunting!!
We’ve been Collecting Fossils, Especially Ammonites For our 10 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grand Bambino’s . They just Loves them Fossils. We’re Disabled Seniors and do RockHound but mainly purchase items on line or at shows. Will check if you have an online store.
this one time back in 1963 i was searching a local creek where i live and i found some spanish remains of a guy and there were some gold coins laying there near him, a sword and a belt buckle. it was really neat. this was back in 1981 at a dried up pond near my house in the summer of 1972 right down the street from the high school i used to attend way back in 1954 during the winter of 1991 where i found the skeletal remains of a viking that died there way back in 1998.
The marking is the tool of the Stone maisoneer, or the person in charge of the decor of the building. And the hollowed out space is probably from an old Gargoyle at the roof. The pipes back then were often led out into lead pipes, into the mouth of a gargoyle and out along the wall or spoutes from the statue, down to halloween out stones ar the ground in a certain angle to the street.
I saw so many Native American artifacts you didn't catch! As you know, many are obscure. Hidden. But if you know what to look for, you'll spot them. Many are extremely valuable.
