I thought there would be tips like "take photos of your Lamborghini" or "talk about your inheritance" but it's actually really helpful tips that make people come across as classy more than just wealthy, which I think is a really helpful video. I must admit that, in particular, I break the “remain calm” suggestion all the time. I try but it’s not in my DNA....I always think of the time when our American President , George Bush Senior, was attending a very formal state dinner in Japan and he vomited in the Prime Minister’s lap and dropped to the floor in a dead faint! While watching the news coverage I particularly remember Barbara Bush’s behavior. She was so calm and dignified and did not panic at all. She moved aside so he could be attended while I’m sure she was quaking inside. I would probably have been carrying on like a hysterical character from an opera.

Yes!! I'm in my 3rd year of working in a dental office and I unfortunately also see people only looking to get done their front teeth and it's so sad.. Remember your mouth also smells when it's not healthy! I would definitely prefer someone with maybe not so straight teeth, and not pearly white, but a clean mouth rather than someone with the 6 front teeth perfect (uper and bottom) and when they speak I have to move back.

No worries, I agree with everything you said. My mother is one of the persons I admire most because she was sweet and kind. I never heard her say anything bad about anyone, she never gossiped. She never swore or got overly worked up and she always listened when people spoke to her. She remembered what you said to her and would pick up something from the store next time she would shop and say, just a gift for your daughter or grandchild to her office co-workers. She was loved by many and was always lady like. She did not have a lot of money, but she made the most of what she had and always looked beautiful when she went out. I remember when she was near 90 years old, she always dressed and went for a walk, she would take a break half way on a park bench and she would tell me about all the people she would meet there. One day she said some older gentleman sat with her and told her how lovely she looked. She was surprised at that, especially at her age. But my mum never went out of the house without fixing her hair, her make up and she always put on a nice outfit, always clean and pressed. I miss her.

By Far one of your best videos! Lots of educational content here, specially for this generation that have been heavily brainwashed/influenced by others in so many wrong ways. It's not about how many designer bags you have, how much make up you use, how spacious is your house or what car you own; it's about how you want to show yourself to the world.
"Act confident and no one will ever question you!"
What you have said in this video is just common sense to me, I always preach everything you have mentioned here. Hope more people are able to watch this video and learn that wealth is a state of mind; and inclination that causes people to focus on abundance and not the other way around...

So many wonderful observations and tips! I would absolutely love to see some videos on etiquette, including getting in and out of a car properly when wearing a dress, to the simple courtesies of being prepared before you pull up to the drive through bank ATM, to the more exciting things like different tablescapes appropriate for breakfast, luncheon, dinner and/or formal dinner! I love a gorgeous tablescape with all the beautiful and historical accoutrements!
I’m very interested to see the similarities and differences between American and British etiquette and the various and appropriate table settings! My family is from the South and Emily Post was the be-all-and-end-all my grandmothers and mother touted my entire life! So etiquette was a really big deal in my family! Etiquette is primarily being thoughtful, courteous and respectful with grace. Many of those social graces seems to have been pushed aside over the years. I’d love to see a resurgence of lovely manners as well as beautiful table aesthetics!
I realize most people don’t necessarily collect all the interesting accoutrements for all the types of table settings, but there may be sources you could include if you don’t have all the amazing cutlery and serving pieces readily at hand! Perhaps start off with basic settings and you could create an entire series including everything from fish knives, shrimp forks, bonbon to demitasse spoons, asparagus tongs, baked potato forks to berry spoons!
If anyone loves to entertain, once we get back to face-to-face socializing, these videos could really come in handy! Not to say you can’t also set a gorgeous table to have your mac-n-cheese or peanut butter sandwich! In fact, now might be the perfect time to pull out all the stops and make every little thing more special and gorgeous while safely isolating! Looking forward to more videos on social graces and refinement! Brilliant idea!

A video request please! I would love to see you do a capsule wardrobe challenge. What would be the key pieces that would see you through a year and why? (and I can already guess a good quality neutral rollneck and coat will be included, and maybe your rockstuds 😉 ) I am living in NYC for a year and am struggling to keep my wardrobe to a minimum. Would love to see what you would pick!

I love that you called out purchasing designer labels. I feel the same way. Why scream out that your bag is expensive? What not invest an exquisite piece of vintage jewelry or an unusually classic piece and have it tailored to fit. I love everything that you shared here today! You are so naturally sincere and elegant.

Josie, I love all your videos, but this was my favorite! Being understated is such an elegant way of living. I wouldn’t worry so much about offending people either, you’re a genuinely lovely person I’m sure it’s obvious your content held no malice! Also, I would love a “dress codes” video. Stay safe & love to everyone ❤️ Thanks again for your hard work!

Thank you so much for the video, I agree with all you said..and I love that you mentioned gossip, If I hear a person talking bad about another person I start to think “ they might be saying bad things behind my back too” I look at how people treat others and that give me an idea about what person they are... I talk to all people from all ages and groups but I only have 1 friend ...

I have only just got into fashion vlogging but you are by far my favourite, you really do deserve more subscribers! You really know about materials and designs and have such a refined and graceful style. You have also helped me to refine my own style and really think about the quality, versatilty and longevity of the pieces I buy. Thank you

I wonder if you might do a video explaining and demonstrating the various textiles used in clothing (and perhaps home furnishings). Names, such as viscose, lyocell, linen, etc.; the raw materials from which they are made; the types of weaves used to generate drape, durability, etc., such as twill, crepe, georgette, satin, damask, jacquard . . . I see so many of these terms misused and misunderstood, even within the industry itself, yet it is very important information to understand in order to evaluate and select appropriate quality fabrics.

As a member of the sewing community, I can say without a doubt there are a lot of videos about fabric knowledge out there for people who sew their own clothes... but it would be wonderful to see a video for fashion interested non-sewing people about the different fabrics and what makes something quality or not.

What a brilliant video. Josie, how about some networking tips and how you nourish relationships in your life?
I've noticed you're quite good at maintaining your family relationships. You also throw dinner parties for your friends. And You're genuinely supportive when fellow influencers are launching new products. I'm sure these skills come handy when maintaining relationships with certain brands as well. Does it come to you naturally? :)
I feel that you have nailed that area in your life and as a relationship and dating coach, I'd love to hear how you maintain relationships in your life. I'm a big believer that the quality of your life depends on the quality of your relationships. Warm wishes 🌺

Loved this! Thank you, Josie. It seems that dress codes still confuse people. Many years ago (pre- Google), a group of us Masters students were invited to a very prestigious event with some amazing speakers. We asked our prof what we should wear. The advice was “lounge suits for gentlemen.” My friend turned up in jeans and a jumper. We all saw the funny side and the speakers really didn’t care, but 20 years later, my friend stills says that he was so embarrassed by it.
