Besides the extra feeder joints, you could also take the loco apart and check if there's grease or oil on any of the contact pick up points. I bought a few older (40+ years) minitrix and arnold trains and I just gave it a good cleanup as oil and grease was all over the place. The seller probably thought s/he did me a favor to lube the whole thing a bit too enthusiastically. Once cleaned and lubed with moderation and the carbon brushes replaced, it's all great.

Yep, that's my next course of action lol. A full teardown cleaning. Risky... but what to I have to lose?

@@ModelTrainsWow it's not too difficult. I always take pictures along the way just in case. The good thing aboutb the older models is that they were built according to high standards. I have many locos from 40-60 years ago and all run well. That will be another interesting video to watch! Good luck

Have you considered adding some more feeder tracks/joints? It looks like it is sensitive to voltage drops? I have to say I don't know how I found your channel but I absolutely love it. Your take on model railroad is like nothing I have ever seen, keep doing what you are doing and be yourself!

Yeah, I was just experimenting with that actually. I think I figured it out, I moved a feeder closer to the crossover.
And haha, thanks! You don't really ever see N scale with Legos, but for me I think it works 😁

@@ModelTrainsWow You can add multiple feeders from one power pack. Your layout is huge so voltage drops are to be expected.

@@rzezniqq Yeah I already got 3 on there. All was fine until I added that double crossover switch. The left side is fine but the approach from the right is slow because it's now super far from the feeder by the time it gets there. That crossover switch doesn't pass power so it needs to be powered from each side independently. I think I got it working now 😉

@@ModelTrainsWow where did you get that Lego railway Cannon? It's really cool

@@Abrahams_stuff Hmmm... I bought it years ago somewhere online, can't remember where lol.
But if you want to know more, see my Lego channel video 🙂
