I think i remember, A long ball assist to Giroud for the finish inwhich when the camera panned back to the no19 he was dancing a jig. I dunno but really liked the moment
He is perfect attacking midfielder. Adept with both feet, good dribbling, good techniques, good passer, good shooter, aggressive and most important he has a top class personality. If only we can keep him fit but it'll be hard with our incompetent medical team and lack of fitness management by Wenger.
I agree... watching him, he's probably the only one who has come close to Messi in terms of close control. But I'd say Santi can be even harder to mark, because he's almost equally good transporting the ball with both feet, therefore more unpredictable, whereas Messi uses almost exclussively his left.
@@LaughterCigarMessi is 100 times better in this aspect, Santi was very good but Messi did the same at twice the speed, with 2 times better desicion making and 10 times better finish (that's why Messi has 15 times more goals and success dribbling)

Most quintisentially Spanish player I've ever seen (outside of Spain). Close control, vision, two-feet, total technical mastery. Its ridiculous how far behind him in terms of quality his teammates were. If we'd had just one more player like him we'd have won the league.
The world forgot about this absolute baller, including me. I recently found out about him and he is incredible! Respect to him for moving back to his old club which is now in Spain’s 2nd division, that’s the definition of playing for passion and not money.
Santi injured means a loss of connection from defence to attack. Wenger didn't anticipate for buying a player with such a quality (like Naingolan). Coquelin, El Neny, xhaka and Ramsay simply dont have enough creativity like this Magician.
Santi is better than Ozil, Ramsey & Xhaka in their own game & mind you those three are very different style of players. He is one of those players who comes around once in 3-4 decades. Gifted with his dribbling & ball control at the same time having the instinct to find that killer pass. As much as I love Rosicky & think he was as good as Cazorla in the final third, he didn't had that same assurance doing it inside in his own half. Santi can do whatever he does in the final third, inside his own penalty area as well & people would be less than half as worried than if ANY other player was doing it.
Santi had the ability to draw three four players out of their positions, create space and not get dispossessed ..something our midgield is badly missing..he was the gel that held everything together in our brand of football

If there’s one player I wish that could play forever then it’s Santi cazorla, what an amazing talent he is, an absolute credit to the sport and so beautiful to watch, will be a bad day when he retires, those players don’t come around too often.
The combination of him, wilshere, Roza and Giroud is something special. They are the key players that arsenal play beautiful game. And that what özil missed a player that brings the ball forward and takes 3 or 4 players with his dribbles. Now özil is unfortunately forced to play deep because no one brings him the ball. We really need either wilshere or cazorla
The guy is so insanely skilled it's just ridiculous. He can hit an inch perfect corner with his left foot and then ten minutes later hit an absolute beauty of a free kick with his right. Not many can do that with such great consistency.
I dont say this too quick but people lets sign a petition to demand this guy get a statue!! This guy deserves that more than any player of the last 10 years at the club..

I miss the hell out of this man. It's crazy to think about but a Core Arsenal team of Ozil, Santi, Kos, Rambo and Giroud is really all that got us in UCL spots and winning FA Cups. When one went down- Santi- the whole system fell apart and that core group weren't enough to get us out of Europa spots anymore.

The biggest disappointment I have had in the last 10 years in football is the failed signing of Santi Cazorla by Atlético de Madrid when he was at a great level at Arsenal. I would really like to have seen Santi Cazorla and Fernando Torres in the Atlético de Madrid squad in the 2014/2015 season.
He had Coquelin actually. But I guess Coquelin's injury also coincided with Santiago's. I know Coquelin wasn't that good alone, but he and Santi complimented each other. I miss them both.

Personally, I think Cazorla is Wenger's best signing of the Emirates era. The amount of quality on the ball he had is simply unmatched.

Supreme technical ability….completely two footed….Advanced: dribbling, passing and shooting( even free kicks and corners)..extremely rare ability.
