Simple Silver Settings For Enamel Cabochons

This process video relates the fabrication of some very simple prong settings. While such settings can be readily adapted to many applications and embellished with additional decoration, I wanted to share my process for the basic steps of fabrication. Did you enamel the backs (counter enamel) of your cabochons? They fit pretty flat on the setting as if they have no enamel in the back. Good looking work. Thanks!

Its called a spring loaded punch and I got mine at Home Depot. I am sure you can find it at any hardware store.
