David Bragger is a full-time instructor of old-time music on fiddle, banjo, mandolin and guitar. He teaches private lessons in-person and online, as well as workshops at music festivals and camps, including the Festival of American Fiddle Tunes, the Rocky Mountain Old-Time Music Festival, the Gainsborough Old-Time Festival (UK), the Portland Old-Time Music Gathering, the Berkeley Old-Time Music Convention, the Santa Barbara Old-Time Fiddlers’ Convention, the Topanga Banjo & Fiddle Contest and the Los Angeles Old-Time Social.
David is the director of the UCLA Old-Time String Band Ensemble.

I know it might be a basic skill, but do you have a video on droning? A basic search came up empty. I come from the world of classical violin, and I think I missed that lesson. How do I know what string? Do I play different notes, or is droning always on an open string? Etc.
Sometimes I can mess around and it sounds good. Sometimes it's horrible. Please send help! 😐
