I love this! I'd be interested to see more comic timelines. There was a time around the mid 2000's where there was a flood of licensed horror comics. Nightmare on Elm Street, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, even Final Destination and Se7en had a run. 28 Days Later had a prequel series, it was a wild time.
In regards to the Nightmare Warriors 6 months or a year question, Jason kills some Christmas carolers in the first FvJvA. So it seems like Ash was estimating 6 months, but it is more like 8.

Yes, #2 & #3 have serious flaws, but I’ve always enjoyed rewatching #3 far more than #2 and even #4.
The comics are silly, but they are fun. Like real-life fan fictions come to life. Can't really blame someone going all crazy with the stories. They are meant to be one shots, which means you can have free reign to explore almost any avenue.
I was actually surprised to see you cover the comics. Great vid though. You could probably do a video on The Thing comics. If you're up for manga, I highly recommend checking out the Tomie series. You pretty much know the formula going in, but trust me, they are so much better than the movies.

That script had a powerful demonic entity called Thanatos that was manipulating both Freddy and Jason, but they ended up turning on him in the end. This led to one of the characters thrown back in time, I think Quantum Leaping into Lt. Thompson, to sign off on the warrant and thereby making sure Freddy went to jail and never became the sinister sandman we love to hate. Also Jason was an Elm Street kid....somehow (it does not synch up at all).....and Freddy was responsible for his death as a child. I think it ended with Amanda Krueger leading a happy little Jason along by the hand. Overall I enjoyed it.
I remembering hearing that they had actually wanted to have Jason's mask and thus him in Waxwork but there was an issue with getting permission and such so they went with the Phantom instead..
Great start to hopefully a new series! Fun fact which someone here has probably encountered, Bruce Campbell will not sign anything by Dynamite Comics using his likeness.
Honestly the time displaced cop getting Freddy actually arrested wouldn't have changed much. He'd probably get The Chair and still come back to haunt children's dreams, just looking different and having a different elemental affiliation.
Can't wait for Halloween the devil's eyes and the blackest eyes if you go there. Id also want you to do Phantasm even though its only 1 comic its a good one.
I've noticed that any books/comic books are written with the idea that Jason Goes to Hell took place when it was released in the early to mid-90s. Just full-on ignoring the fact that little Tina accidentally killed her father shortly after the events of Friday 6.

Speaking of Carpenter, he's involved with a newer Big Trouble in Little China series. I've only read some of the earlier series, which I assume is a different continuity.
Holy crap man… Samurai Funnies. I didn’t know anyone else even knew about that. I have issue 1, which is Texas Chainsaw Samurai. My favorite horror comic series is Jason vs Jason X. I wish it was more than just a 2 issue mini series. But because I’m a nut job completionist, I own every cover of both issues 🤦🏻♂️

You should do a horror timelines on the friday the 13th novelizations. There are some interesting differences between the movies and their novelization versions.

Well if ask me on Friday the 13th as a whole nowadays their oh most no amount of creativity left to make a decent one at Best regardless of what media is on.
I do really like FvJvA2. They put a lot into it for fans. My only complaint would be how sleazy some of the scenes are. Sure both franchises have plenty of TnA, but with the exception of New Beginning it never felt wrong. Like Tina & Renny jumping into bed with Maggie & Neil felt wrong. Maggie getting felt up by Freddy felt wrong. Jacob & aged up Stephanie having sex felt wrong.
I follow a comic reviewer and he covered the Freddy Vs Jason Vs ash because he was nightmare comics for a Halloween seasons and boy the nightmare warriors is really bad especially the art
I think Jason’s mother being called Doris might come down to the fact when New Line bought the series they only had the rights to Jason and making new stuff, but not the previous films. Same reason why they didn’t make a montage for Jason in FvJ
Does the Power Rangers Nightmare on Elm street comic count? Jason is in it wrecking all the magazords and so are the Cenobites fighting Masked Rider with the Green Ranger power
