The closer it is to delivery, the more mommas have to patient with themselves. Taking in the slowness, even the uneasiness and being patient with yourself helps that last month to be smooth. Being being new parents is such an awakening.

I bought Yeonmi's book a few months ago and it's such a good read. I found her on youtube and I was so fascinated by all the content she shared. It really is frustrating how a genocide similar to WW2 is happening in current time and there's not much we can do about it.
I know! I can't believe there are like at least 4 major genocides going on in the world in PRESENT DAY. It's like.. we went to war for it once, but it seems that since the countries doing it today are keeping it in their borders, governments just seem to be letting it slide (also economy seems to be a big decider too unfortunately..)
@@Patience2dream i don't want to sound rude, but we didn't go to war "for it". the massacre of millions of Jews isn't what triggered WW2. it was rather Hitler breaking one treaty after the other and invading foreign countries to eventually assimilate them to the Third Reich. him invading Poland when he had promised not to was actually the breaking point.
the American government doesn't care about genocides happening everywhere else in the world. and they never will.
Yeonmi has been caught lying many times and her stories about North Korea are not credible. She makes a lot of money from speaking engagements so it benefits her to play up her story. My dad grew up in NK and left before the war and the things that are happening the country are devastating, but there are a lot of opportunistic people that are being used by the US as propaganda. Please look more into the history of why North Korea is the way it is. US imperialism and meddling is not the answer.
@@BT-pd3sz ur fathers experience can definitely be different from Yeonmis. She left after the war and still has contact with ppl in NK. Trying to discredit someone with different experience within may years apart isn't the way to go.
@@a.j.9488 I literally have met Yeonmi, worked with the people that gave her the platform she has today. Like I said, some of her story is definitely true, but she has been going on questionable news sources lately contradicting her previous accounts. It's profitable to get paid by right-wing media to drum up support for US intervention and war in the Asia-Pacific.

I’ve read In Order to Live! I actually had to take breaks a few times because it was just so heartbreaking. It was eye opening and gut wrenching at the same time. It’s definitely given me a greater appreciation for the life I have. My heart aches so much for Yeon Mi, her mom, and those that are still in the clutches of North Korea.

Your perspective change conversation with your therapist really resonated with me. I’m not growing another human but I’m fighting chronic late stage Lyme disease and it can leave me feeling weak and frustrated by my body’s perceived limitations but it isn’t really that I’m weak- I’ve had to be incredibly strong to fight this disease, I just don’t usually see it that way. Thank you for the reminder 💜

I feel you girl! 37 weeks pregnant and I was so energetic during my whole pregnancy, being a working girl 45h a week and renovating our new house on week-ends, this past 2 weeks forcing to rest were sooo frustrating! I feel tired all the time, but same, repeating like a mantra that's ok because I'm growing another human. 😂

When I look through his photos, I just can't believe how small he used to be and all the little Itty bitty clothes he used to wear. I miss when he was so small. When Baby Boy arrives it’s a whole new world but in a wonderful way.
Another tip (as someone with a 2month old) other than his coming home outfit, we mostly put our little one in Onesies/Footsies for the 1st month, the ones with the 2-Way Zips from Carter’s and Old Navy are affordable and easy access for all those diaper changes.

Hey Jenn 😊 - It would be quite fascinating to read back on the journal entry a year from now. I have found it very interesting to look back on journal entries, letters to myself etc.
You made me giggle when you were going through the baby clothes, I am sure they will fit him fine, although they grow super fast. I adored the clothes Joan sent (saw it via instagram) so cute! 🤰🏻🤱🏻👶🏻
And yes unfortunately knowing when you will actually go into labour isn't like launching a collection where you have full control 🤣 however I do hope that you come on or around your due date. I have always been in awe of how women can grow a baby inside of them, give birth and then do everything that comes after.
I know nothing can fully prepare parents for the experience but you are doing beautifully. One day at a time. 💖👑
