Lyrics:
Remember when hell had frozen over?
The cold still burns underneath my skin
The water is rising all around me
And there is nothing left I can give
All these tears I've shed
I saw the wildfire spread
You said you cheated death
But heaven was in my head
They say the good die young
No use in saying what is done is done
'Cos its not enough
And when the night gives way
It's like a brand new doomsday
What will be will be
Every river flows into the sea
But it's never enough
And when the night gives way
Its like like a brand new doomsday
No matter what they say
It's like a brand new doomsday
The embers still glow when I’m sober
The gold in the flame burns brighter now
I have to rebuild now it's over
Maybe now I’m lost I can live
Souls don’t break they bend
But I sometimes forget
I have to do this for you
And the only way out is through
Death is an open door
Words the prophets said
Still swimming through my head
Now theres no stars left in the sky
'Cos this well will never run dry
What if I completely forget?
What if I never accept?
'Cos when you fade away
Its like a brand new doomsday
They say the good die young
No use in saying what is done is done
'Cos its not enough
And when the night gives way
It's like a brand new doomsday
What will be will be
Every river flows into the sea
But it's never enough
And when the night gives way
It's like like a brand new doomsday
No matter what they say
Its like a brand new doomsday

WE NEED TO FILM ARCHITECTS.
Yes you are
Yes the fuck you do
yes!
Yes yes yes
PLEASE DO
How can you be that good? I love the fact that they kept the original performance audio, with all its emotion and minor imperfections that make it alive.
Can almost not tell the difference, they're that good!
not to discredit the band at all or saying that they did, but you can still go back and record over live audio in the studio. Lots of bands do this for their live dvds.
I'd like to think that they wouldn't do that, besides, if I was to re-record any vocals/instruments I would make sure there are not imperfections, however you can hear them in the vocals for sure.
Lol... VERY minor imperfections
you can definitly tell a difference in the vocal, not so much in the drums, Dan is too consistent for that :D
This is not a song. This is an anthem for all heart-broken.
This is a path of force and light i need to go throught all of this covid shit!
@@Deathbringer99699 Yeah man this help me too through this covid shit
And for survivors of heartbreak...

if i could upvote a comment twice i would. fuck cancer man
"Souls don't break, they bend"
Not sure why but this one line kicks me hard and square in the feels.
The song was partially written by the former lead gitarist. After he died his brother (the drummer) finished the lyrics and the song. It is about loss and fearing that the memories fade in time. So this song, yeah it gets ya. It gets you hard.
@@Wobblyrage Most of the album is based off the late guitarist I believe. This whole album is so emotional.
That's cause you are a fucking weird ass hippie, that's why..
Tom would be proud af. so beautiful
yea
It's Dan not tom
@@treweis1141 Tf you mean? They're talking about Tom Searle

one of the best live bands in metalcore tbh
michelle huizen probably the best metalcore band at the moment
PWD
Skinner PWD aren't metalcore anymore
Ever heard of as i lay dying? Lol
Bury tomorrow IS the best live metalcore band, dont disagree
I was there. Historical on so many levels. Architects is such a benchmark in this generation of metal music. Two thumbs up and well done!
loved when they bamboozled us and we all went "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" at 3:14
Bamboozled on Pi time ?
@@jancerny7831 I thought the same thing
It's like the Intro to the pot by Tool, in every live show, theres a little Pause to the second line, still everyone sings it normally hahaha
@Cc Roncal Probably wanted to hear how loud the crowd sings along lol, they delivered!
They did 😆 those fuckers
I literally have tears in my fucking eyes. Mental. Absolutely mental. These guys' music saved my life so many times. Especially that bridge part remembers me every day not to give in, not to let my depression win over me.
Noah H. You good man?
Keep music in your life and everything will be fine.
Go kick that depression in the nuts. ;-)
It's not as easy as it seems. There are good days and bad days. I mean, like right now, there are more bad days but I can't give up. There's just too much to lose. The only way out is through
Noah H. We're all gonna make it man, life is good. I'm just happy to wake up on the right side of the dirt every morning. I just want to enjoy life to the fullest and see the positives in life.
You’re far from alone in the struggle. Don’t forget that. I can’t even count the days where I don’t know how I can make it through to the next. There’s so much power in music. Keep it up, dude. The fact that you’re here to post comments means you’re doing something right.
Still feels incredible that I was in that crowd, screaming my heart out!
How was Gone with the wind??? Emotional as fuck??
Best gig I've ever been to!!
"Sing this song as loud as you can for our brother Dan" this performance has made me cry everytime. #TS #ArchitectsFamily
It's January the 14th 03:22 in the "morning" and i am fucking crying cause I've lost an old friend. He was just 26 and fuck it that song helps me to deal with the fact that he's gone. It's not gonna take the pain but it helps to remind me the beautiful time i could shared. Thanks Architects to help me ♥️ I'm proud to say that you were my friend.
I lost a bloody dear friend too, she was a fan of Architects. I hope she is at peace, headbanging wit me. I miss you Chloe
03:22 is the scream in the video
@@sullylamb1020 nice
I hope your friend rests in peace. I hope you're doing a little better now. I lost my old man a few years ago, and shit do architects' lyrics sometimes mean the world to me. R.I.P to those who we all lost too young
I wish my dad was still alive to have seen this. He'd like it. RIP and happy father's day.
You HAVE to make a live DVD! This video is absolutely mindblowing - we need more!
Nick Hetzschold this will be live dvd=)
Виктор Грицай Damn, so stoked for that!
Dan said on Twitter that there won’t be a live DVD. That it would cost tens of thousands of pounds to make only in hopes of selling 1000 copies.
NickYDGn But he also said that they will release a full set „maybe in the Future“
Blu-ray not a DVD. I want to see the sweat drip down Sam’s face not that 480p poop. Lol
I miss these Architects so much
Damn ninjas cutting onions again.
Dude, Where did you hear that phrase?
@@user-dk5ev3ft2z I believe it was 9gag... You should check it you mate!
I understand this.
1:15 did it for me
Aaahaahaha 👊
Architects is literally the best band out there no joke
Gilbert Liu in the metalcore style.
ERRA is the best in metalcore :v
@@jackrauser168 erra is definitely top 3 right now for me, but I can't put them above architects.
Loki Delgado saw Erra with Born of Osiris and August Burns Red. Born of Osiris stole the show.
True
I felt so lost after my parents passing. This song is helping me get through the void their passing has left in my heart.
Lost my mom twelve years ago... the bleeding will never stops, but this is the kind of art that make us keep going... 🤘🏻🍻
The pain will NEVER GO AWAY... You will only get stronger and learn to deal with it! Stay strong brother! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I hadn’t seen this live version before, listened to it on my way from work and as soon as Dan’s speech started I burst into tears..
This literally brought tears to my eyes. Wow.
2 years later and this song still brings tears to my eyes, what an amazing band
Nothing makes your hair stand on end like seeing the raw emotion from people in crowd and thinking about how songs can impact people so differently.
Before the last chorus when they pause and the audience says the "yeah" scream... that was friggin sick! Emotional damage!
When a song hits you hard and deep, watch it live, touch your heart and it's inevitably releasing tears
Architects will always be a band that gives an example to follow, feel passion for what you do and reflect it in songs so that whoever listens to it, feels the same thing you feel when you play it
seeing those guys hug at 3:38 genuinely made me shed a tear. absolutely beautiful
This is incredible! The audience is fucking epic, crowd voices fit perfect to the melody, goosebumps from the very beginning to the end. Wish I was there.
I don't know how can you be this awesome) willing to visit your concert in Saint-Petersburg again)
This shit brings tears to me eyes, the whole room is keeping his brothers memory alive. So fucking beautiful man…
The "they say the good die young..." gives me chills... This song is so sad and still such a relieve of anger about people that passed and you can't change that fact... Life ain't fair. But thinking of someone that loves you this much that there is so much emotion after you left this world. That's what you can left behind. I like that they are still going strong. One of the best metal bands out there.
It’s incredible to be able to experience this again. Such an incredible night and I feel beyond lucky to have been there
Max James aaaand... here I see you again 😅👍
MojoBrickStudios - Customs&Hauls you’ve got great taste my friend
I feel the same way, flew from Stockholm, Sweden to see this, not a single regret and I see myself multiple times in this. It reminds me of how great this was. Such an experience!
Path Hoffman awesome! It was incredible. Such a privilege
Give this probably 12 out of 10. It's epic. That's all
Man I’ve always loved this song but have had it full blast the past week or so, thank you fellas for making great music
I get chills at 2:15 everytime the fact he can scream and at cleans at the same time is insane
This was one of the best shows I've ever been to.
And I've seen A LOT of bands.
I watch this video at least twice a week. I can't get enough of it. I swear, if I saw this song live, I would die a happy man.
I cried that night Iv just cried again, such a good performance and such a great band.... if Tom could see the energy you guys had he would be proud 🤘
I want a video purely of this crowd, some of the emotion pouring out of some of the people there is heart wrenching! The girl absolutely going for it at 04:05 gets me every time!
What an emotionally moving experience. And I thought the studio version got me in the feels. This is a whole nother level. Y'all were born to move the hearts and minds of the masses with your message. Thank you, truly🙏
As a filmmaker: the direction, shooting style, and EDITING of this performance is fucking IMPECCABLE. Job Well done to the creative team behind this video.
This band and Dir En Grey for me all the way!
No matter how many times I hear this song, I cry every single time. And I'm a grown ass man.
2:33 chills
Aaron Smith all the fucking song man
It’s so dope when they all yell BOOK
it’s door.
death is an open door, not book. LMAO
I listened to that part 30 times and I’ll listen to it 30 more.
It was 100% worth traveling to London for this show! It was amazing
Chills after that silence after the breakdown before the last chorus. Delaying the scream and cutting to black was brilliant. Shout out to the audience members that thought he was going to scream and screamed anyways. Then when the fans died down, the band came back in and Sam fired away his scream. What a performance.
They're actually this good live. Seen them twice in Chicago and it's crazy how good they are!!
cheeky bastards 3:15
Firdaus Isa biggest bait in music, ever
They did that exact same thing in munich this year in january :D
Lmao i would have never done that cause i know the song by heart so they wouldn't have baited me lmao
Mr Succ not sure what you mean, they intentionally did a longer pause at that moment to bait the crowd into doing the scream at that part. In the actual song it's a very short pause, which is why everybody yelled like the song does. So the audience screamed at the right time, it's just that they added in a little more of a pause to see if the audience would scream.
8 more clicks
:D
one word: chills.
I come back to this video every time I have a heart-shattering experience or anything that crushes my soul to fucking pieces.
I lost count of how many times I've opened this video in the past few weeks. Aside from my grandma and the cat in our front yard, this song and this video are saving me from doing the thing I shouldn't.
I'm forever grateful.
I feel honoured to have been a part of this night. Chills all over.
When concerts come back, they will definitely be one of the first bands I see. I’m getting chills watching this on my phone, I can only imagine what it feels like being in the crowd when they preform
Its pure bliss its literally like listening to them with headphones theyre just a perfect band
I've probably listened to this song close to 50 times and still feel the same heart breaking sorrow that I did the first time. This is my #1 pick for song of the decade.
Never tired of listening this song. A masterpiece.
Travelled down from Scotland just for this show, and it was totally worth it. Great night!!
Would love to see these dude's live.
3:14 love it! How they stopped and the crowd screamed!!
I finally got over my trauma and this song feels like a victory march. Each day is a brand new doomsday so treat everyday like it's your last. You never know when it's gonna be taken from you. I'm gonna choose happiness and try not to be negative
This is far beyond incredible. This is a milestone in music history. The emotion, the energy, the performance, the crowd, the location, the vocals, instrumentals, everything about this is the purest form of perfection. I am very confident in saying that this is and always will be the best live show in history. Even if you don‘t like Architects, just listen to this unbelievable vocal performance, the instrumentals that are right on point, the crowd jumping, singing along, crying. That‘s simply incredible.
Such a tight live performance from everyone in the band. Sam you are a out of this world!
Love how this is directed. The raw emotion on everyone's faces. The honest feeling of letting ourselves go.
Holy mother of music, this band is the absolute masterclass of melodic metal.
I wish this entire concert was up.. I would keep it on repeat
So much manly tears in 1 sick metal song. Respect!
This was one of the best shows I've been to to date!
Whoever mixed/produced this deserves a fucking award right now. Never heard a live performance mixed like this, really brings some of the power of the show.
Now I wannna go to an Architects' concert. I just got into them recently and this is my favorite one along with when we were young and gone with the wind.
Damn, i'm sitting here crying full of emotions , It's absolutely insane, my whole Body has Goosebumps. This shit is absolutely brilliant ❤🔥
I Feel you man
I saw Tom at his last concert.. Rock im Park - nuremberg.. I shall treasure this memory. (':
What a fucking night this was. Every time I see them they somehow top the previous perfect performance. Best British band EVER.
Nothing but 10s in that crowd!
This sent chills all over me once again! It was one of the most powerful and graceful shows you've ever done. I enjoyed every moment! Bring on the new album and another ally pally show!
Their manager must be so proud 😢. Luckiest person in the world basically.
One of the cleanest, tightest sounding bands of all time. Seeing Architects live is absolutely life changing. These guys are going to take over the world.
You guys are something else, we don't deserve you
Tom would be proud. Amazing band if not the best today.
I was reading an article about them and BTMH (I love them) and how their bands are changing, this is my first architects song and it's a banger
This could the 100th time I watch this video since it's uploaded. I still cry every time I listen to this. The overflowing emotions in this performance is simply
Cant believe I was a part of this! Amazing show. Thank you guys!
gives me shivers 🖤
An incredible show I'll never forget being at
Holy shit this was unbelievable.
Amazing live performance.
Idk how many times i've watched this but i still got the chills. Loving this band a lot.
I know it isn't just me who feels this way, but I never feels more 'at home' than when I'm in an Architects pit. Such passion and care from everyone around me, all sharing one amazing moment together. The fact that we are complete strangers doesn't mean anything when Architects are on stage.
I feel exactly the same way, achitects gigs are like no others. We feel safe, exhilarated, understood and a part of something bigger than ourselves. They're such a special band.
Love Architects
I have never been more affected by any other song, this literally made me cry.. So much emotion and meaning in this song..
Sam screm is so clean and the insturment is amazing too
Beauty manifested into a live show. I hope this will be a live DVD
2:13 literally makes me cry literally every time
Same.
fucking true
i come back to this so often and it never gets old
There is no better way to honor someone... I swear the more I listen to them..the more I fall in love ...they are amazing
I don't know any other song of Architects. But I love this song so much.
Mist R OMG! Just listen. They're all awesome!
Modern misery and royal beggars are great also
Wow, it's been along long time since I've found a metal singer that combined screaming with a blend of traditional vocals this amazingly. My fav singer to scream and sing has always been Chad Grey I absolutely love his voice plus his intensity especially in his younger days he'd go all out every show no matter if it was 20ppl or 20thousand, but this guy my be quickly rising to my 2nd spot.
Check out Jinjer
Does anybody else get that big lump in the back of their throats just listening to this performance? Just how raw it is live as it is in audio, the force and force of momentous emotions. Thats how it feels listening to this. I have no other way to express how powerful their message is and that it just hits me with so much power to burst into tears.
Tom and Architects forever.
Most underrated band out there. Cant wait for Holy Hell!
I’m crying...
This is absolutely incredible.
This is my first time listening to Architects, and so far I’m impressed!
If they just stayed at this sound it would have been perfect. This record was their peak.
Architects forever!
Who needs an engineer when you have Architects 😆\m/
I love watching this way to damn much.
so much power in the song, they get the entire crowd to sync, death is an open.... "door" and we all feel it on so many levels.
