using a 130 grn TTSX on a small roe deer is overkill as it would have gone straight through the Roe deer and if it did not expand properly and crunch a bit of bone then it would probably not drop it on the spot. I have seen this when a friend I was with shot a large Red spiker with a 180 grn Sirrocco out of a 30.06 he was going to use that combination on a moose hunt. The projectile went straight through the Red ,,did buggerall damage. We found the deer about 60 metres away in the bush. He got his large Moose with that combination as it was the right mix for a Moose.

Sure a 130gr is more than you need but with a chance of larger species you shoot what you have!
308 is a bad caliber.
