at the end of the song she was talking with her producer's baby girl which i think is really heartwarming, it's like olivia gave her advice through this song or something. i planned to celebrate my 22 with taylor's 22 but turned out i was crying at my room listen to this song❤

i feel like a lot of reactors i’ve seen react misinterpret this song as just growing up and worrying about if life will get better or not but forget about the aspect of becoming so insanely successful at only 17/18 years old… like olivia’s debut album broke so many records and won her 3 grammys, etc. and i cannot imagine the amount of anxiety it causes when she worked her 2nd album it’s almost like will people even bother to continue supporting me especially since im growing out of my teenage years and a big part of her success was the experience of first love/heartbreak, etc. so this song is so vulnerable and such a good closer to the album. SOUR & GUTS def feel like the perfect conclusion of her teenage years and the growing pains of young success
i can’t wait to see what she does for her 3rd album and i really hope GUTS wins big at the grammys it’s easily one of the best releases of 2023
i think it's briliant the fact that she's talking about something sooo personal that barely anyone can relate to and doing it in a way that resonates with everyone she's such an incredible songwritter life it's so unfair hahha

Some interesting info...GUTS ended up 5th on the aggregate year end albums list for 2023 after 127 listings. Her album SOUR ended up 5th as well for 2021. Amazing when you consider how many hundreds of albums come out each year.
