I like the way they handle the crowds at Denton and Reddish. :-)
Standing room only.
It’s high time this service was put back to hourly and extended (north) to Huddersfield and (south) to Hazel Grove, or even Buxton. Just how good would that be?
Denton is my local station so great to see in this footage
If this train has to run then any passengers would be a bonus. So why is it not a free ride? Or a nominal £1 for any one to use. Think of a school trip to educate and entertainer and explain rail safety and operation.
Any idea what Network Rail are doing to that (atochem?) siding just beyond Stalybridge?
Brian Redhead made a film about this line in the 1981 travelling from Stockport to Stalybridge for Home Ground on the BBC.
My journey to school 1965-1970
Great film once again. I like the remnants of the Woodhead electrification still left.
Perfectly timed once a week not to connect with 2 departing services
Not much piling work done between stalybridge and guide bridge just see the orange lids before guide bridge station.
Imagine waiting a week then missing it after taking a leak.
Wish I had a £pound for every time I've ridden that train.
Nice one bro 👏👏
That Stockport Viaduct is very impressive
"AC Crewe" ?
The control room for the ac current in the overhead wire is at Crewe
Put it on the metrolink
Great stuff. Thanks.
What is meant by "parliamentary train"?
it’s run to avoid formal closer procedures of the stations Denton & Reddish South. The train runs infrequently once a week
@@petersimons5675 it runs on a Friday I do believe.
