These procedures are no longer needed! 😅You can travel now without covid test or vaccines certificate. Just have a valid passport and a valid visa. And don’t overstay!

Yeah you are right.. no test when coming back.
But you need 3 vaccine or a negative covid test to enter Japan until start of May.

It keeps changing - the prices are high in private clinics, in the city you have to reserve test - 5 days in advance, while at airport you can walk in and get tests which is cheaper. Check this information below.. depending on when you travel, you might not need a test as rules keep changing.
Haneda Airport (Gate 1 + Gate 2). At this branch, the following fees will apply:
15-minute rapid test: 1,800 yen (after tax)
PCR test（minimum 2 hours）1,900 yen (after tax)
Rapid test + PCR test 3,000 yen (after tax)
