Great job with explaining this in detail. Having left bera for reboot in 2017, although Ive been listening to niru talk about this for over a year your explaination helped me understand even better the depth of the problems. I know that this was very difficult for you and you did an AMAZING job. I hope with all the hope i can find that everyone will stand together. Heroic world players need to understand that GMS stands or falls together, we cannot be divided!
For the people who say niru should apologize, I seriously have to ask; how tf was he supposed to get his message across? Our cries for help have been ignored or silenced for years, and there has been next to no positive changes for reg servers for several years. The fact that nexon was trying to stealth nerf frenzy when that is the one thing keeping reg servers alive and they silence anyone who tried to talk about it really shows how out of touch they are.
TBH, reg servers not having trading was such a red flag for anyone lol. Coming from KMS, GMS reg is a complete joke.

It's so sad the game's most passionate players like you and Niru go thru the most pain and BS out of anyone because of Nexon's decisions. Your channel has been a beacon for me the past 10 years, looking through all your 250 guides and I do mean all, just know even if you aren't happy in reg, you have made my journey through reboot a lot better just from your content and laughing
I hate to say it, but I'm another one of the players who quit because the reg experience is so much worse. It's utterly bizarre how much worse it is from the Reboot experience. Less meso per hour, for higher meso costs per-item, to deal with more progression systems that Reboot gets to bypass for free.
I used to be ardently anti-frenzy, and even I've come around on it. I hate buying frenzy service because I hate being only able to train on other people's time, and being unable to leave my map or enter portals. But if I train on base spawn, I get almost nothing for my time. At this point I miss wild totems because at least they let me play at my own pace, even if they were worse than frenzy.
I had fun playing on Hyperion for a few months, until the KMS news about the meso changes came out. The uncertainty about the game's future sucked all the desire out of me. I haven't logged on in almost 3 months now.
Nexon, please please please do not nerf Reboot. Buff reg. Reg needs buffs so bad. The progression is without exaggeration 10x worse.
I to am ardently anti frenzy, well it's more nuanced than that. But I'm 285 on reg server and never once bought frenzy service. The amount I needed to grind just to somewhat catch up to other people who all use frenzy service because I refuse to participate in such a disgusting monopoly system is absurd. someone else frenzy grinding 1 hour, I grind 3 hours to get the same result.

Because that itself is the problem. This fucking item shouldn't be only held in the hands of a few people who just so happened to play years ago, who just so happened to have the disposable income and gotten lucky to get this item. That or they spent over 10 grand to get one today from someone else that got it. And the worst part is nexon is fully aware of it and all the problems it causes.
I've said this for months, you can't undo the damage frenzy has done. So the best thing to do now is re release frenzy back in marvel at a decent rate and bring back wild totems. their bs excuse of removing wilds and kishin was that spawn enhancers were stressing the servers (somehow frenzy didn't), well fine, then only bring it back for reg servers and reboot can have passive 2.5 exp and drop. Essentially the same thing.
Luckily reboot nerfs are not coming so for you, you can enjoy hyperion without worry. I think niru said it best earlier. He could just quit reg and play reboot. But that would be running away from the problem. And I think that's also why I stuck around too. I heavily considered starting over in hyperion too but something deep inside just said it wasn't the right thing to do.
That's because reboot has been ezstory for years.
@@scarletch.5517 Yeah. Hyperion is fun but it doesn't feel entirely right to me either. I love trading; the in-game economy is the lifeblood of an MMO in my opinion. Honestly I think the lack of an economy in Reboot is a major contributor to the feeling that Maplestory has become an entirely solo game. (I mean, yes you still boss and grind alone most of the time. But trading enforces interaction with the existence of other players to a certain degree.)

I've played maple many years, before big bang. I was on Scania for all that time, sticking it out with the friends I made, the guilds.. I was never an end game player, I had always known i'd never get there as I had neither the money nor time to do so, and just enjoyed playing casually.
I didn't play reboot when it first came out because of said friends. I've always stuck it out on the reg servers. It wasn't till the new Hyperion server came out that I gave it a go.
My Hyperion main is not only already higher level than my Scania main, but similar damage even without the backing of my legion i'd amassed from all these years. I don't think I could ever go back, it's just more fun, more worth the time. All those years of event items, fashion story, connections, friends, guilds.. it's all just, gone now really. I mean they are still there, but i'm probably not going back.
I never even got to the end game where a lot of these issues of tradability and availability would even matter to me. And yet, even with that there really is no reason for me to go back to reg.
They need to fix reg. What Niru did was a massive sacrifice, to stop right at the finish line of his goal, to bring all these issues to the light, is not something most people could do. I couldn't, I'm sure of that.
Fuck frenzy btw, such a mistake. Re release it, or remove it but buff regs spawn rates to match frenzy. You made this mess Nexon, stop ignoring your mistake.
I went through this pretty recently. I came back around the end of 4th stage 6th star after not playing for 12 years. Had around 1.6k legion, main NL was only 188. I spent a little to Kindof “catch up” I grinded, I got my NL to 265 and legion to 6500. I was getting like 200m weekly from bosses. No drop/meso gear. Couldn’t afford to grind with frenzy. At the time identisk started, and Hyperion released. I was talking to a IRL friend who I used to play with, he wanted to come back as well, I told him he needed to start new reboot. So I started there with him. I played with him casually there on a new account. And was playing BOTH accounts simultaneously. The same day my reboot Bucc got to 260 was the day my reg NL got to 265. I even did the abyss legion block on both accounts. One day I just realized, I could never keep up in reg with new guildies, it’s just wasn’t worth it, I would have to spend 10s of thousands to get to a point of feeling comfortable. So I quit all I had just done for 6 months and now my reboot character is 271, I’m enjoying playing every day with new guildies and IRL friends. Legion almost 8k and I miss my old characters/friends and account EVERY DAY. But can probably never go back to it. NIRU IS A GOD for what he’s done. And I greatly appreciate it
Its such a joke that resources are untradeable. Its such a joke that the idea that equipment may be permabound on equipping. Maplestory is a unique game with so much potential for fun. Instead, the localisation teams decide to gut that for short sighted cash grabs. This isnt a 0 sum game ! Fix Interactive Servers
with niru, my brain found out how bad reg server was. with sacrix, my heart found out how BAD reg server was, nexon please listen, there is still hope, save our game :( as a reboot player, reg/reboot must stay united on these issues

Your breakdown of what Niru went over while providing future explanations and experiences to the situation on Reg server was amazing. Thank you for posting this and I really hope we can make some meaningful change in the near future. It's time to do this the "GMS way".

You can hear the sheer amount of sadness in your voice and how angry you are with the state of the game. Which is 100% understandable. Nexon has only hurt the reg server community for what seems like 2 decades. I haven't played reg servers since 2014, but seeing how nexon is just slowly hurting and destorying communities that were built with effort and sweat only to be destoryed is just destroying me from the inside. This is why I will never play GMS, not even Reboot. Nexon is just such a shit company its unreal
it's funny how a private server like ElliniaMS (I don't now if that's even still around) had a better designed progression system than GMS.

1000% agree. I have been playing maple on and off for the last 18 years and I cannot leave my reg account behind purely because of what it means to me. The nostalgia, the time I've spent with friends, I cannot put that into words. It really hurts me to see that starting fresh in Reboot will surpass me in 6 months. Like I said, I've been on and off of Maple so I am far from being even to reboot midgame, but still. I shouldnt have to be tempted to switch to reboot evertime I play. What made the experience fun for me for all these years was the trading. The FM, the merching, etc was part of the experience. Now we just have an auction house... wait for it... THAT YOU CANNOT AUCTION ITEMS.

It just comes down to reg really only being around as legacy servers for whales who have been established for years who don't want lose their investments in time and money. F2p players aren't even meant to play on reg, which in my mind should either require a massive change in the game, or really, just the removal of reg and have reboot become the norm/only servers around since reboot is already the main focus of everything
Best thing about reg server as a free to play player is there at 5 upgrade systems for a single equip. 2 of the systems are inaccessible (bpot/sf) since the cost of them are egregious and regular cubes are so scarce that you can really only rely on the event flames and spell traces to have any damage but they offer very little in comparison. And then you look at reboot and they have 3 systems flames sf and cubes all which can be bought with just mesos which they get at 5x the rate of reg server.
cubing for free in regular is such a wall that it feels like it takes months if not around a year for a new player to get wse done on only free cubes, let alone getting anything else up to par pot wise. Like f2p players just shouldn't play after a certain extent because they'll hit a wall that just isn't surmountale in a reasonable amount of time. Forget all the other grindy systems on top of that too
Never been major Maple player, but always loved your enthusiasm for the game in every of your "road to 250" videos, which brought me back to the game 2 years ago. Have left since then, and since I was always in reboot, never had much of an idea of how much reg servers. Hope they listen to these rants and do something for once. Best of luck to you!
the passion you and niru show for reg is touching. really really hope they (at the BARE minimum) do the server merge.
I rarelly make comments on videos, but it hit me right in the feels as i know EXACTLY how this feels and could feel the sadness from carring so much about something thats slowly disapearing through the screen. I had similar experiences back when CRA was at it's peak (EuropeMS), and after a 2 year 'recovery' from database leaks and items stolen, 5th job was released and shortly after Frenzy and was such an unfair gamble and advantage. I had plenty NX to go ham and properly get one, but it felt so wrong and everything went downhill for EMS ever since, and is now left in the dust. (I know, timeline ain't adding up exactly, but don't feel like finding exact dates)
Ended up quiting for all of the reasons you and niru mentioned (And much more). Came back to play on Reboot ~8 years later and didn't plan to do more than a few hours and a single level 150-200 char at most... and reboot for me was everyting interactive lacks (Beside perhaps more trading etc.) and now i got 9k legion and a lvl 280 doing Kalos :o
Sidenode: Still play Interactive each week to make meso for my NX habits, never spending on this game again after all their bad business practices... and i'm 1.5 year into still trying to switch to Arcane items, iCOGS are what ruins the 'game progress' for me, 5-10% Spell Trace for similar stats would streamline it way more and make grinding (spelltraces) more worth it as well.
Oh yea... why is no one speaking about the SF cost on both worlds being the same... you easily spend 20-50b trying to 21 star a handful of items. Now imagine spending 100-250b on reboot instead... that's Reg server cost differences for you. And that's ontop of all the scrolling, cubing, flaming you already had to do.

I unicubed my glove because its 2L critD and i wanted a str or critD third line. Only 12 of the 50 cubes hit the line i needed and i didn't get either line i was looking for. Biggest progression scam in gms
I've long put down Maplestory after finishing the Black Mage storyline and got that closure from one of the three big MMOs I played as a kid (next to Runescape and WoW). Out of the three Maplestory is the one run into the ground the worst and I restarted on Reboot once it came out. I have no intention of returning to Maplestory. You put up with far more than I would be willing to.

Cubing? Didn't matter. Bossing? Are you insane! Grinding? Meh.. Maybe?
All the things you need nx for any form of serious impact just wasn't there.
And i remember.. those were one of the best times i had in Maple.
We all meet up during the evening for our partyquest, chatted with all kinds of
people that got intrested in the party meta that slowly got popular around us.
It wasn't always easy, since some party quest were REALLY dangerous for any
class that didn't had access to a LOT of hp or some form of darksight, but...
that never really stopped us. We actually started to expierment with more and
more and found a "relativly" save way through most of them. EXCEPT OF KENTA!
Those two pianus and giant range of attacks were REALLY difficult to get around..
Not even our usual anti Dragon rider duck tactic worked against their laser... T.T

Thank you for giving your take on it as well. I believe that the majority of reg server players agree with both yours and Niru's sentiments regarding the issues our servers face. The reg servers have been neglected for far too long and nexon needs to address it.
It’s really sad how they run this game in GMS. I played reg for a while, had about 9k legion, my main was 250 something (before it became a lot easier to get to with hyper burns and stuff). Ended up quitting and went to reboot because it just really sucked on reg.
I quit Maplestory altogether last year when they announced the removal of Jett because my main was a BeastTamer and I figured why try progressing any further when they could get rid of that class in the future as well. And lo and behold, they aren’t deleting it but they are changing it to another class, which really sucks because I loved the play style and aesthetics of BT.
I feel for you man, and I’m sorry they are running this game in the ground in GMS. For your sake and the sake of others still playing I hope they improve the game for the betterment of the player base.
Hey sacrix. I dont know if you read these comments or not. But im legit curious. I stopped playing last year cause of burnout and also cause my progression got to a point where it took months to tier up 1 item at a time. I mostly play casually cause i wanna have fun but even when im serious about it, it just felt bad. I always hesitated to go reboot, mostly cause of all the time, characters and money i spent on Reg servers. Each time i see your videos it makes me wanna play maple again but often times my depression gets the better of me. I dont know what reboot entails. I dont know what makes it better than reg servers. But in your knowledgable opinion, is it really that worth it to start over to reboot? Or am i overthinking this and stay on my characters in reg?

I moved from reg server (aurora) to reboot some years ago, i left my NL from old maplestory there (he has 25 dex lmao), i didn't know it was this bad in reg servers until watching Niru and your video, i really hope Nexon listen to all of you reg players and makes the game better. My friends said that if Nexon make those changes they'll return to the game and I probably would move to reg servers again just to play with them, i really hope it happens.
One of the biggest problems in maple imo is the inability to equip character upgrades as you get them. You got your first absolab piece? Cool, you can't wear it, because you need to wait 6 months for a miracle time to cube it to legendary. Then you need to wait 3 months for a starforce event to get it starforced. God forbid you're a reg server player and have to SCROLL it. Those events should be removed or made baseline, and you should be able to incrementally upgrade your gear whenever you want. It's crazy having to plan over the span of a year to properly upgrade your gear.
Goodluck switching mains at this point too….. even in reboot getting back up to a decent gear level is tough but not impossible like interactive

As someone who used to be a reg server players as well, before i got kicked out for committing the hate crime of being Dutch i already saw the quality of reg's QOL deteriorating.
Its an absolute disgrace to see the state the Reg servers are in and you summed it up pretty much bang on, i sincerely hope Inkwell will be able to save this sinking ship because we're sinking to depths i never deemed possible. Niru, You and anyone else doesn't need to feel sorry for standing up to Nexon's corrupt corpo BS, people that should feel sorry are the people that are actively contributing towards the broken system, and yes this includes anyone working at Nexon that has even the smallest involvement with Maplestory. At one point there's no saving face, those people have actively been contributing the the downfall of not just Reg servers, Reboot server, or even GMS, but all of Maplestory as a whole. It now more then ever needed that the Maplestory community as a whole doesn't stand divided, but stands together, for an actual Better Maple.

Personally I would play reg server based on being able to trade. Since the bar to entry is so high, I would not even touch it. I have been playing reboot since 2023 and wish reg server had actual fixes.

I feel you on a cosmic level cuz I also play on reg server (Luna) and Everytime my irl friends ask me or I make a new friend and they ask me what I play and they get interested in the game, I can't recomend them to play on Luna cuz it's not worth their time and I don't want to ruin their experience, Every single fuckin time I tell them to play on reboot servers!

Like, they can still DO limited time cubes like VIolets and Unicubes and other special cubes that are deemed more powerful, but changing them so that there's no time limit, there's either NO purchase cap or a much higher purchase cap, and bringing them around more frequently (2-3 months MAX instead of once a year) would still provide enough cubes to provide a huge surge while also making them substantially more appealing to players. They can still do scarcity by limiting how often they're released while still getting HUGE payouts whenever they do come out, without them being so horribly restrictive that it renders them utterly pointless outside of the biggest of whales.
Sacrix, first and foremost I'm so sorry to hear the pain in your voice. I have been playing Maplestory since 2006, and was Bera from the days of [S]crewAttack and Yara till reboot came out. Can I just say with my whole heart I had no idea it had gotten this bad. Just know two of the biggest guilds in reboot Kronos: Epic and Apex are standing with reg servers on another #NoSpend campaign until the issues raised are met. Members will be letting vacc pets expire, we will do all we can to stand beside Niru, yourself, and all of reg server players. We love you guys and please keep your head up. It will get better, or we will all go down screaming the same message like brothers in arms.

Pre-Big Bang returning player here. I knew how bad reg was when those cubes initially came out. Friends and I pooled real money together to sell services and goods in the FM. We all quit one summer when we all got jobs. I recently returned to reboot and left the hundreds of dollars I used in Scania behind. It hurt, but the experience has been night and day. Niru is a hero to get the message out.

When you said 1 red cube power got I dropped my phone on my face. That is disgusting. On a regular day in reboot I can get about 40 red vibes an hour of mesos farming in odium without frenzy existing here.
I get about 60 red/glowing cubes, and 30 bright cubes with over 600 million an hour, assuming sacrix is saying red = glowing cube. That's 60 times the rate not even accounting for meso cost of equipment cube rolling.
And you also have to keep in mind that reboot gets 6x the mesos reg gets while having the same starforce cost and symbol upgrade cost. I did the math on this recently and the number will shock you just how bad reg has it.
On reboot 1 bright cube is 22mil. On reg, if you were to convert mesos to mp to buy 1 bright cube in the cash shop, it will cost you 275mil at current exchange rate. But reboot gets 6x more mesos. So to convert those reg mesos to reboot equivalent, that's 1.65bil. For a single cube. That's how bad reg has it. And that's why those solid and hard cubes that reboot probably tosses away are so valuable in reg but they arent tradeable. For people lucky enough like sacrix to have a frenzy totem you could effectively cut that price in half but thats still ridiculously expensive. For people like me who grinds without it, my rates are less than half of his.

@scarletch.5517 yeah. I can't believe how much struggle reg server is. The only real struggle in reboot is pitched drops (I'm 2 years of weekly hluwill and hlomein without a single pitched). But that doesn't compare to the difficulty facing reg servers.
As a reboot player I’ve always wanted to play reg for the merching aspects and the trade function. My very first experience in this game was in main server. That being said I can’t find any reason to leave reboot when I’m a 280 DW with over 9K legión. It makes 0 sense to move but I am lying if I say I’m not interested into experiencing how main is like but definitely not like how it is now …
Despite all the numerous comments from people that haven't been playing the game and just stay around to hate on whenever something happens. I do believe something good will come from this. It might not be tomorrow but things will improve. These servers have been far too bad for far too long and need more QoL changes then even in Heroic worlds. I know I've spent most of my on Heroic/Reboot servers but I was introduced to the game through Bellocan at the time. I'm sorry that you have to go through this to just enjoy the game. I know for one I stand with you and Niru to the end.

Not going to lie, I was a reg server player for a while but i changed to reboot in 2022... I can't imagine how much worse it's gotten since I left. Reg Server does not make sense vrs reboot server it isnt even comparable at this point. I feel horrible for reg players :/

3:20 I do the same thing. I always tell people to play reboot. I am a reg server player. I have reboot characters as well, but 95% of my time in game is dedicated to reg server. It feels terrible to tell someone to essentially play a different game.

i thought i was slackin' on my gear made my main in 2020 and managed to prime my AU weap in 8 months and legendary mpot all my abso gear but i still dont have a full set of legendary AU i have 4 out of the 5 leg and on top of that none of them are that icog inno method yet if all these CS items cubes and scrolls are tradeable in other versions of the game we should have that and more? And then same to other servers why don't we have a mega Auction House and item exclusivity stay the same but like why can't TMS sell a twilight mark to KMS or GMS purchase cubes from KMS? In a world where PS4 & Xbox Series S/X can play with PC and Nintendo Switch all on the same servers at the same time? We can have server exclusivity without the bottleneck of item scarcity and then more mesos spent and real money gets converted to maple points for more mesos probably and that means more people grinding for mesos to get Maple Points? HELLO?
38:31 to your point Sacrix I want to add that Mystical Cubes are permanent for the majority of them which allows you to get free epic gear and now same with bpot cubes, they clearly understand resources need to be collected and stacked to be available for use in large quantites at least for early mid game. Feels like the devs or whoever calls these types of shots doesn't consider Unique+ equipment as a necessary core to clear major mid/end game content? Which would be ridiculous. Nonetheless I think a significant merger of sorts and removal of the untradeable items tag for reg servers would be the desired outcome
psok for items like sweetwater too, and why can't we trade event rings like we did in the past? doesn't matter how many free "event" cubes we get, we can still only use 100% meso gear so why can't we buy a meso event ring bruh that would literally only benefit the economy we could trade things like event absolute ring and evolving ring and don't gimme no crap about they weren't pottable back then because they also made an untradeable version of the evolving ring so moot point

Ive only ever played reboot, and never really understood why there were so many complaints about nexon, I've never had an issue with any of the updates they've released (for reboot)
This video really put it into perspective for me how god awful this company is, I genuinely feel bad for you reg server players
Everything here is valid to me, I used to play in regular server too, I dropped about 15k in this game before I stopped playing and moved to Reboot. I think that at one point, when people were screaming regular server was p2w, Nexon took advantage of that. Instead of making ways for f2p players to gain a footing, they made hurdles for p2w instead for all the wrong reason. This is what I think made the game like this over the years.
Edit: The screams about regular server being p2w died down over the year because they either quitted MapleStory because they couldn't make any progress or moved to Reboot server. Now regular servers are left with all stupid features.
I might be wrong but if the world merge happens won’t the market be the same? You would be adding say 4X the players now for arguably a 1 to 1 increase in marketability in the respective markets? I probably made 0 sense but all I meant to say is the items in AH is way to low for the world merge to make a difference. But to save REG all of the proposed changes need to follow through to get the needle moving in REG’s direction.
How do you even make meso in GMS anyways. I always resort to buying meso. Everything cost $$$ wtf
you can delete frenzy totem, you fix the issues and make interactive more appealing for new players, frenzy totem is preventing new players from entering interactive so you just going to continue to bleed more and more players with the existence of frenzy
Now there is a way to have spawn enhancement for everyone:
~Solo play, no benefits, every additional ACTIVE party member increase the spawn and spawn rate by +40% (up to +200% spawn and spawn rate for a 6 man party), spawn and spawn rate on that map is based on the largest active party with checks every 10 seconds.
~Frenzy Totem could stay, but the effect is reworked to apply as an UNIQUE +1 party member so 5-man party plus frenzy equates to a 6 man party, but 6-man plus frenzy is just a 6 man party, and you cannot 3-man party with 3 frenzy to get a 6-man and it is just acts like a 4-man party. (so solo frenzy would be like a 2-man party)
Now the main problems to interactive are the systems bloat - scrolling and bonus pots need to become significantly more simplified and straight forward.
Tradable everything, permanent duration cubes, sales limitation raised or removed, etc, are all things that help the current players, but still does not fix the bleeding of players in interactive and what interactive needs are new features that get new players to join interactive worlds.
There being no green droplets means there are no new players in interactive worlds to farm in those areas. This means you got to make changes in favour of new players and to do that you got to kind of screw over the whales a little bit.
Whales happy = no new players for interactive. Upset the whales = they are making changes that are beneficial for new players.
People got so happy when Inkwel posted his message to the community but I truly wasn't. Although I disagree with the meso cap the new cubing system would have made cubing so much better, I'm liberating in a couple of months and now cubing my Genesis weapon will be so much worse, I wish we could get that new system and reboot can keep their own.
I know you guys primarily play MS but I wish you'd rake nexon america for their handling of Vindictus, too. If you don't know, they sell gacha costumes that cost literally 250 dollars to obtain through bad luck protection. The prices are so stacked against the player that even if you wanted to p2w, you'd have to spend about 500 dollars to gain maybe a couple points of stats. Not to mention, the playerbase is so tiny compared to Korea, everything is hyper expensive due to scarcity of items. You can load the market up and see maybe 1 enchant scroll for the one you need, and it's listed at like 650m. For reference, you can get maybe 1m per day if you do all the daily raids and dungeons. To top it off, EVERYTHING expires. EVERYTHING. Even cosmetics, if you don't open the package yet because you're not sure which character you want to open it on, it'll expire. Anything that they give for free from events also expires, so you can never build up a stock of enhancing materials.
It just isn't like this in Korea, they are given TONNSSS of free materials and enhancement resources, stuff is literally 10x cheaper meaning your daily income from literally just the gold drops in raids and dungeons (which is around 65k per run) has way more purchasing power.
I talked a lot about this 6 years ago in the official discord, nobody listened, quit for reboot, best decision I made to still enjoy the game
I was a reboot player, there is no positive reason to play regular or reboot in this game. The game doesn't respect anyone's time. I quit 2 months ago, and I feel a lot better now. I know its hard to try and break away from this game because of fomo, but its going to be better for you. Games are meant to have fun, and this game is a job.
I quit too for pretty much the same reason. It just felt overwhelming having dailies and daily bosses to do every day to progress in the game, it felt like more of a chore than having fun, especially when I would lose that progress by booming an item

good for you, good job quitting, but this is not a good take. some people like the grind and "job-like" concept of an MMORPG. that is the POINT of even playing a MMORPG. a game can be grindy and fun at the same time, those concepts are not mutually exclusive. that like saying a job can never be fun, because if that's the case for you, you should also quit your job and find doing something you like.

A second comment about cubes: Nexon is seriously shooting themselves in the foot with the cubes not being perm. People would spend soooo much money on cubes if they had an unlimited purchase limit. Scarcity is what they are performing but they probably make not even half the money they could make justing making them unlimited buy during the time.
quite a casual player here, don't have much time to play the game I know and love since 2005, so much that I just figured my MAIN Jett just died. I managed to gather my time around to come and play, just to find out that GMS just decided nope, he dead now, and I got nothing for it, u r a beginner now. what? u had to be there to change correctly they said to me.
how does one to assume his specific character to be DELETED from a game after years. I would transfer in a heartbeat to the reboot worlds if I could pass along my characters, I love my characters, I will not ditch them, I do animations and drawings of their stories. but this? this is pain, I come, play events and wait a good amount of time before I comeback, waiting, for the Reg server to be actually Trade-fluid.
No idea what's the new drama on ms, I'm glad I left when they removed totems, mob density was fun. I was on aurora but I never made the swap because I wouldn't even trust them to keep reboot viable long term.
I left this game after the BigBang updates and when they started adding new heroes like in the MOBA-style game. I thought that those times were dramatic and Nexon ruined my game where I spent 7 years of my life, playing daily and only this game. Now I see that it was only a peak of an iceberg.

i thought the meso cap we got on kms were bad. but gms reg server has had it so much worse for literally ever... theres zero shot i play any other reg server besides kms luna.. i gave bera a chance for 6 months, i just could not deal with grinding with fz without a vac pet, i could not deal with even a simple 9% epic piece of gear costing more than 200mil meso, which btw if even 9%hammer fodder is that much, how much does even trying to get 200% drop cost??????????

Because I'm one of only two english speaking Reg server mains in the entire program, and the only one deeply invested in the end game of the server. I earn nothing from being in the brigade at this point, but it gives me a direct line to Nexon to at least try to let our voices be heard.

You've already said that being part of the bean brigade does not provide any benefits to you, and that nexon's warning about refraining from talking about frenzy totem in test servers was likely targeted at you. Your inputs on the game are unlikely to be heard as well, given nexon's historical reputation of handling community concerns / their thoughts on GMS as a whole.
Overall, this paints an extremely negative image on Nexon. Yet, you are still willing to participate in the program where participants have the image of being a 'shrill' for nexon.
Wouldn't it be better to step away from the program or even, consider stepping away from the game entirely ? Your love for maplestory is evident from this video yet it is disappointing that player's commitment is misplaced by Nexon. This is becoming eerily similar to an abusive relationship with an addict, where the abuser is constantly gaslighting or mistreating the victim, while the victim is hopeful that the relationship will eventually get better.
With Nexon's track record of handling GMS (let's not forget that GMS can be considered as a side-project for Nexon as the revenue from GMS pales in comparison to KMS), I honestly do not think that things will get better.

as someone who has experienced GMS , played maplesea on launch , swapped to reboot , attempted reg but swapped back to reboot. have multiple accounts with 275s,250s , my main hayato on reboot being 280. I have since quit the game completely. any maplestory region that is not korea is fucked down to the very core . And i highly recommend nobody to play this game. I have been watching sacrix and other maple content creators for very long , and i cannot fathom the amount of grind they go through just to get fucked over and over and over again by GMS. I fucking hate the way that us GMS players constantly look up to KMS , and we're always getting fucked with shitty updates and no QoL , but we still play the game .. what for ? The nostalgia doesnt exist , i bot the fuck out of my reboot and msea account , until nexon does a full apology for this game i will never come back to it ever again.
also , just to clarify, unless you bot , it is not realistic to effectively progress in this game as a non KMS player , since the game is heavily balanced around kms.

Someone with trading anxiety lol I welcomed reboot and never looked back. I’m pretty much reaching mid game at this point being able to solo normal Lomien after playing on and off for 5 years but I havnt had to pay. I don’t understand how people consider regular servers playable or even play there…. It’s already established before playing that you’ll have to pay real life money. I don’t get it lol
