I made an agreement with the company where i work to deliver their trailers localy. so i continue working in my position and the same time start my own local shipping company that can grow for more trucks in the future. BUT i faced a big problem which is to find drivers in the EU market, verry dificult in the current time, especcially that drivers will prefer to go to the big companies. my quitsion is, do you have an advice of a solution or other business model that can replace my idea? other method to start a shipping business locally in EU/ Scandinavia or international. thank you for your time 😊
Hi Viashop, I sympatise with you being unable to find drivers. This has always been a problem. Unfortunately I can't offer a solution to this problem. As far as other business models, it's not something I can really advise on as there would be too many variables to understand. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi Alex, Thanks for your question. I would advise you to leave your options open at this time. Ask your suppliers for a sea freight/air freight quote and then get one yourself directly from a shipping/air line. You may find that your supplier has better buying power than you therefore cheaper rates. I would not jump in to being a freight forwarder too soon without examining all your options. Hope this helps.

I'am looking now for new clients who provides containers rental services, but unfortunately I'm lost, does someone rent them? Could you give my some advises about shipping containers, where to get one without buying it.
Hi Petras, sorry for the delay in replying. Shipping lines usually lease containers from manufacturers, usually a high number of them. I've never heard of a company that rents containers to businesses and I'm only aware of a second hand market for containers, for purchase. Some of these containers cannot be used by shipping companies as they are our of gauge so they can be purchased at discount prices. Hi sir, thanks for the great knowledge in this video. I have a question I wonder if you can help me with. If you have a vessel how do you link it jobs ? How can you find work for it !? Appreciate your advice
Hi DjWassup, when setting up a business there’s generally a “chicken and egg” scenario yes. You need clients to gain experience but clients want you to have experience. This is generally true of any new business. The best way I’ve found to gain the confidence of new clients is to demonstrate you have the knowledge required to complete the job and that you understand THEIR needs. Find the right solution for THEM. Find the right deal with the best suited shipping line, make sure they understand all the documentation they will be required to provide and as I preach all the time as my mantra - BE PROACTIVE, NOT REACTIVE. Make sure you have all your bases covered and foresee any issues so if something occurs, it’s not unexpected and you are able to take care of the issues quickly. I hope this helps.

ask a dutch employment agency for a driver, they almost always have east-european drivers. you have to pay them the dutch payrate though.
