And together, as void beings, defeated the Radiance, just like how the Pale King planned. But this is not only a very true ending. Finish the pantheons in godhome (and bring the flower to godseeker) and u’ll get a HUGE ending. Also you’ll get to witness a far more satisfying Radiance’s death

Basically: You and the Hollow Knight either died or just went back home to the Abyss (that's unclear). The cutscene with all the little siblings looking up is when they realize that they completed the task they were born to do in the first place and now the little will that kept them around is gone and they can finally rest. Basically the end of all Vessels. It gets to me all the time. The Irony in this is that the Pale King only chose one of thousands of his children to consume the Radiance and here, it shows it took all of them together (with H.K's help and your help) to consume the Radiance. Man this hurts everytime.
Well, it turns out the Knight is the Shadow God, so I suppose he destroyed the Radiance as his opposite. And it makes sense, darkness is always there, light burns out. So the knight is still alive, he just left his vessel. The siblings found peace and rest indeed, and the Hollow Knight was never destined to do what he did, as he was not completely hollow. That is why you can destroy the Radiance as well as contain it, where tbe Hollow Knight could only contain it and get slowly consumed by it.

Proud of ya, my boy, you nailed it with style! And indeed, this is the good ending. I'm sure plenty of others went ahead but if not, let's give you a quick "history' lesson, eh? The Radiance was a Higher Being and a deity of the moths - the Seer's people. They lived where Hallownest later came to be and at one point the Wyrm (another, foreign deity) decided to set up shop there, bestowed sapience upon the bugs and reincarnated itself as the Pale King in their image. The King eventually managed to subjugate or ally with all the neighbouring people (even though not all abandoned their ancient faiths for the King - the mosskin of Greenpath kept on worshipping Unn, the slug god who created their wilderness and brought them there). So happened to the moths: they eventually abandoned their old deity and began worshipping the King instead. Without followers the Radiance was weakened - for a while, and then decided to fight back the hard way. It created the infection and invaded the dreams and minds of living beings thus forcibly "converting" them, so it can fight back against the King. This infection became a great scourge of Hallownest and great efforts were exerted to suppress it, alas, in vain. Eventually the King devised a plan. He intended to make use of the Void: a "god" of sorts, or more accurately a vast formless force that resided beneath the kingdom. The idea was to create a being that is loyal to the King but has no will or mind the Radiance can get hold of, and then sealing the Radiance away inside it. To this end, the King and the Queen cast eggs into the Void to be filled with it, and started a massive undertaking of experimentation. The Siblings were the product. The King gained significant mastery over the Void lore (his golems you've encountered in the White Palace are a testament to that) but the Vessels kept turning out imperfect. Eventually, after filling the Abyss with the discarded bodies of the rejects, there was one that was deemed suitable by the King. It became the Hollow Knight and were matured under the watch of the King, which proved to be a fatal mistake as it unknowingly started to feel familial love and thus became, well, not Hollow. This is why it ended up being infected after being sealed away. With the infection creeping out of the Black Egg end the kingdom still crumbling, the King was at his wit's end. He eventually holed himself away in the White Palace, a fortress among dreams built out of his very paranoia, and left Hallownest to rot. And then there came you. The little Knight was cast out of Hallownest at some point which is implied to be the thing that hollowed it (bugs gradually lose their mind if they venture out of the King's domain, and even if they come back they lose their memories permanently). In the previous endings you replace the Hollow Knight as a more suitable Vessel which... may or may not perpetuate a cycle and if Hornet is with you she becomes a new Dreamer. In this ending, however, you slay the Radiance thus ending the infection for good and fullfill the ultimate goal of the Siblings, giving them the freedom to discard the form that was forced upon them by the King and return to the Void. Bloody hell that was long. Apologies for that. Also, you can stil take the flower to the Elderbug (and every other receptive NPC). You can pick new ones from the grave where you planted it. But don't forget, DON'T give the Godseeker a flower until you saw the first Godhome ending! If you do give her a flower, you'll permanently lock yourself out of it!
Hey Quin if you didn't know, you can go back to the traitor childs grave (the place you took the delicate flower) and you can get infinite of the flowers. So you can give one to the Elderbug :D

I've decided that instead of watching these incredibly amazing series just when the notifications pops up, i'll search for the best moment of calm to scream and laugh at the screen for ten minutes straight.
This is one of my favorite hollow knight playthroughs. Ever since I started myself, I have been digging around the internet for everyone that plays it. It's a surprisingly small number of people. You are super fun to watch, thanks for picking this game up!
If you want a kind similar to this one I would recommend Ori and the Blind Forest (if you like it, there is a second one called Ori and the Will of the Wisps). It has platforming and boss battles, and the art and music are phenomenal! I think you would like it!
Use the dream nail abilities it makes life so much easier. All you have to do is press down while you’re using the dream nail to create a access point then when you’re away from it you can do the same thing but press up and you get teleported back to that point. You can’t use it in the dream world or transporting the fragile flower.
If you want to know the full story in more detail I’d go watch mossbag’s videos mainly because there amazing but if you want a more simple explanation: The pale king wanted to make a kingdom, The radiance rebelled against him causing an Orange infection to spread everywhere and to stop this the pale king along with the white lady made the vessels (you and the hollow knight are one of these vessels) and tried to use the hollow knights mind as a type of cage for the radiance, it failed and that’s when you the player enter hallownest and defeat the radiance for good (There’s a lot more to the story which is explained in mossbags videos). That being said, congratulations on beating the main game and Goodluck beating the *Godhome* expansion, you gonna need it.
Quin two tips in case you decide to take a flower to Elderbug. 1) Map out your journey and run through it once to defeat all enemies. If you don’t sit at a bench most enemies don’t respawn (the ones that do are one hit) and 2) Place your dream portal thing at the grave so if you do break the flower you can just warp back to get a new one!!
You can get more delicate flowers from the grave of the traitor's child. You can give flowers Elderbug, Nailmaster Oro (in kingdom's edge) and Godseeker. You can also unlock new dialogue by bringing it to Eternal Emilitia (in City of Tears) and the White Lady (in Queen's Gardens). This series has been great, thanks for doing it!
So, the Radiance is the old goddess of the bugs, that the Seer mentionned. Hallownest's king, by enlightening the bugs, made them forget her, and the infection is a manifestation of her will taking over the bugs' minds. The king of Hallownest tried to use The Hollow Knight, who was born from the Void, to seal the Radiance within it, but it was only able to delay the inevitable. The first two endings have you take over the Hollow Knights duty, holding back the infection until another vessel can be found to replace you. But this ending has you uniting the Void itself and having it swallow the Radiance, therefore ending the infection once and for all.
I am going to give big brain advice about the flower. First, you decide a path, look for one with as little as possible spikes along the way. Also, it doesn't really matter how many enemies it has, as long its the type that doesn't respawn unless you sit on the bench. Now you do the reverse path, from destiny(where you want to deliver the flower) to origin(where you pick it), and proceed to distribute quick and painfull death to everything along the way (dont sit on a bench). Now, if you have the teleport, set the teleport on the origin (cuz you never know, right? -fkin mtherfkin flying grass-). Get the flower, go through the path you just cleared, profit
Within godhome. In the hall of gods. Above, to the right, there is a closed door. Climb to the small sace of wall above, and cristal dash. Stop past the second column, just before Grimms' statue, and double jump. There is a secret way up, and it leads to a room. There your greatest rival awaits your challange. Do so, and you will hear the godliest music of this game.
About that cutscene in the abyss, the explanation is that the vessels were all created to destroy the infection, so this whole time they were restless at the bottom of the abyss, but since at the end you killed the radiance both you and your siblings can finally rest
That was a shit ton of content for one video. Congrats. I'm assuming you got that last charm notch from the crazy explosion room in fog canyon. I kinda wanted to see that footage but if the content wasn't worth, I understand. Looking forward to seeing you do Godhome. Shamen stone, unbreakable strength, quick slash and a two slot charm of your choosing It's an all rounder build optimised for offensive play and ending fights quickly that benefited me greatly in the pantheons, I hope you use it well.
14:40 I think it was a choice between perpetuating a cycle of Hollow Knight's containing the Radiance (an abandon god figure the moth tribe stopped worshipping in favor of the king) only you're a perfect vessel for it or destroying it with void both of which stop the slow mind poisoning going on, throughout the land.

Okay so lore time: the ghosts you saw? They were all children of the Pale King, just like your character is, and just like the Hollow Knight is. The Abyss area is literally filled with the skulls of every failed attempt the king made to try and create a perfect vessel to contain the Radiance. He literally went through children over and over until he found the perfect “tool” to contain her. The reason he had to do this was because the Radiance could infect the minds of anything with thought and emotion, hence why you see the infection start to spread through the game over time. The Hollow Knight is so aptly names because he is hollow, void of emotion and thought of his own, the perfect vessel to contain the Radiance. In this ending, you go into the mind of the Hollow Knight, beat the Radiance down, and basically end the cycle of its control hence the “good” ending. But the thing is, it’s up to interpretation, much like in Dark Souls, whether the Radiance is truly a bad thing. The Pale King gave thought to the hugs in Hallownest (other than the mantis tribe who were already intelligent), but the Radiance gave harmony and peace to bugs via their dreams. It’s a complicated situation to say the least. Now if you want the new actually canon ending, you unfortunately have to go through the Pantheon of Hallownest in godhome. This is the 5th pantheon that gets unlocked once you beat the other 4.
Take a flower form the traitor's child grave and give it first to elderbug then to that thing that came out of the sarcophagus in the junk pit. The latter will make a ending available, the former is only one of the most wholesome moments in the game.
The reason i suggested to kill the hollow knight before you can deal with the radiance is that having to kill him over and over again to get to the radiance kinda mitigates the impact of the fight, and of him stabbing himself etc. so it's good to experience that end to the game first, and then ascend to void and take on the radiance.
Basically. The moths had a Goddess named "Radiance". Hallownest wasn't hallownest before the pale king/wyrm arrived. When The Pale King Arrived, he bacame king. The moths abandoned and forgot about RADIANCE (in the moth tribe, its very important to be remembered) wich made Radiance get sealed away. Then one day, Radiance got mad at the wyrm and started the infection (the infection is spread across dreams). The king tried to stop it by creating a "Pure Vessel/Hollow Knight" with void inside itself. But the vessel should have "no mind to think, no will to break, no voice to cry suffering, born of god and void" to be considered as "Pure". Basically, the vessels are the children of the King and the Queen (The White Lady) consumed by the void (reason why all of them are genderless and called as "It, its, that"). There was like a "race" to prove this. The first vessel to get to the top was the chosen one. The Character you play as got second place, while the hollow knight first place. All other vessels got trapped away on the abyss. Some were able to escape (like broken vessel and the other one in greenpath that hornet killed that gave you the dash, the ones on nosk's place....) while others died in the same place they were born. The king also wanted extra security, so he asked 3 bugs to become the seals of the black egg. The dreamers. Lurien was a big fan of the king, so he easily accepted, Monomon agreed for the sake on the kingdom and also seemed to be of help on the vessel's creation. While Herrah...... well.... she said no. Hallownest and Deepnest relationship wasn't the best (failed tram ***cought cought***). Herrah only agreed if the pale king gave her a child..... yeah they made dirty stuff and ***BOOM*** Hornet was born!. Basically Hornet is half sister of the vessels (she's not void tho lol-). But SURPRISE!!! THE HOLLOW KNIGHT WASN'T REALLY HOLLOW!!!! It loved its dad and cared about the kingdom. So radiance could spread the infection across the kingdom again!!!!!! yay!!!! Then, your character arrives again to hallownest (because of leaving hallownest, it lost its own memories) and all of the game happens!!!!! wooooo- Remember to make the Hollow Knight Ending but with Hornet(¿ (If you haven't of course) (just don't dreamnail the hollow knight and keep attacking) Also this doesn't include the dlcs soooo no spoilers for them!
Yo, if you're doing Godhome, you should know that Shaman Stone is by far the best charm in the game. Level 5 nail does 21 damage (32 with Fragile/Unbreakable Strength), regular Abyss Shriek does 80 and if you add Shaman Stone, it does 120. Pumping up your spells will be decisive!

He intended to make use of the Void: a "god" of sorts, or more accurately a vast formless force that resided beneath the kingdom. The idea was to create a being that is loyal to the King but has no will or mind the Radiance can get hold of, and then sealing the Radiance away inside it. To this end, the King and the Queen cast eggs into the Void to be filled with it, and started a massive undertaking of experimentation.
The Siblings were the product. The King gained significant mastery over the Void lore (his golems you've encountered in the White Palace are a testament to that) but the Vessels kept turning out imperfect. Eventually, after filling the Abyss with the discarded bodies of the rejects, there was one that was deemed suitable by the King. It became the Hollow Knight and were matured under the watch of the King, which proved to be a fatal mistake as it unknowingly started to feel familial love and thus became, well, not Hollow. This is why it ended up being infected after being sealed away. With the infection creeping out of the Black Egg end the kingdom still crumbling, the King was at his wit's end. He eventually holed himself away in the White Palace, a fortress among dreams built out of his very paranoia, and left Hallownest to rot.
And then there came you. The little Knight was cast out of Hallownest at some point which is implied to be the thing that hollowed it (bugs gradually lose their mind if they venture out of the King's domain, and even if they come back they lose their memories permanently). In the previous endings you replace the Hollow Knight as a more suitable Vessel which... may or may not perpetuate a cycle and if Hornet is with you she becomes a new Dreamer. In this ending, however, you slay the Radiance thus ending the infection for good and fullfill the ultimate goal of the Siblings, giving them the freedom to discard the form that was forced upon them by the King and return to the Void.

Also, you can stil take the flower to the Elderbug (and every other receptive NPC). You can pick new ones from the grave where you planted it. But don't forget, DON'T give the Godseeker a flower until you saw the first Godhome ending! If you do give her a flower, you'll permanently lock yourself out of it!

In that ending, you have let the void rest, they no longer have to worry about the threat of Radiance
If you want a kind similar to this one I would recommend Ori and the Blind Forest (if you like it, there is a second one called Ori and the Will of the Wisps). It has platforming and boss battles, and the art and music are phenomenal! I think you would like it!

Use the dream nail abilities it makes life so much easier. All you have to do is press down while you’re using the dream nail to create a access point then when you’re away from it you can do the same thing but press up and you get teleported back to that point. You can’t use it in the dream world or transporting the fragile flower.

If you want to know the full story in more detail I’d go watch mossbag’s videos mainly because there amazing but if you want a more simple explanation:
The pale king wanted to make a kingdom, The radiance rebelled against him causing an Orange infection to spread everywhere and to stop this the pale king along with the white lady made the vessels (you and the hollow knight are one of these vessels) and tried to use the hollow knights mind as a type of cage for the radiance, it failed and that’s when you the player enter hallownest and defeat the radiance for good (There’s a lot more to the story which is explained in mossbags videos).
That being said, congratulations on beating the main game and Goodluck beating the *Godhome* expansion, you gonna need it.

Congrats on beating the game! But the real challenge has just started
Quin two tips in case you decide to take a flower to Elderbug. 1) Map out your journey and run through it once to defeat all enemies. If you don’t sit at a bench most enemies don’t respawn (the ones that do are one hit) and 2) Place your dream portal thing at the grave so if you do break the flower you can just warp back to get a new one!!

You can get more delicate flowers from the grave of the traitor's child. You can give flowers Elderbug, Nailmaster Oro (in kingdom's edge) and Godseeker. You can also unlock new dialogue by bringing it to Eternal Emilitia (in City of Tears) and the White Lady (in Queen's Gardens). This series has been great, thanks for doing it!

So, the Radiance is the old goddess of the bugs, that the Seer mentionned. Hallownest's king, by enlightening the bugs, made them forget her, and the infection is a manifestation of her will taking over the bugs' minds. The king of Hallownest tried to use The Hollow Knight, who was born from the Void, to seal the Radiance within it, but it was only able to delay the inevitable.
The first two endings have you take over the Hollow Knights duty, holding back the infection until another vessel can be found to replace you. But this ending has you uniting the Void itself and having it swallow the Radiance, therefore ending the infection once and for all.

I am going to give big brain advice about the flower. First, you decide a path, look for one with as little as possible spikes along the way. Also, it doesn't really matter how many enemies it has, as long its the type that doesn't respawn unless you sit on the bench.
Now you do the reverse path,
from destiny(where you want to deliver the flower)
to origin(where you pick it),
and proceed to distribute quick and painfull death to everything along the way (dont sit on a bench).
Now, if you have the teleport, set the teleport on the origin (cuz you never know, right? -fkin mtherfkin flying grass-). Get the flower, go through the path you just cleared, profit
And now the light has been banished from their minds, it can rest now. Thank you, oh vessel, with no mind to think and no will to break.
Within godhome. In the hall of gods. Above, to the right, there is a closed door.
Climb to the small sace of wall above, and cristal dash.
Stop past the second column, just before Grimms' statue, and double jump.
There is a secret way up, and it leads to a room.
There your greatest rival awaits your challange.
Do so, and you will hear the godliest music of this game.

About that cutscene in the abyss, the explanation is that the vessels were all created to destroy the infection, so this whole time they were restless at the bottom of the abyss, but since at the end you killed the radiance both you and your siblings can finally rest

It's an all rounder build optimised for offensive play and ending fights quickly that benefited me greatly in the pantheons, I hope you use it well.
14:40 I think it was a choice between perpetuating a cycle of Hollow Knight's containing the Radiance (an abandon god figure the moth tribe stopped worshipping in favor of the king) only you're a perfect vessel for it or destroying it with void both of which stop the slow mind poisoning going on, throughout the land.

Basically the ending means that there is no more Darkness or infection/light in the hallownest. So that means all the bugs are free.
Hey Quin did you forget you have dreamgate? It is HK fast travel. Just press down button + dream nail button to set it and then up button +dream nail to teleport. You are welcome. Also I really like your content :)
Protip for flower quest: put dream gate in front of grey mourners hut and don't bench between attempts. Most of the enemies won't respawn.
Okay so lore time: the ghosts you saw? They were all children of the Pale King, just like your character is, and just like the Hollow Knight is. The Abyss area is literally filled with the skulls of every failed attempt the king made to try and create a perfect vessel to contain the Radiance. He literally went through children over and over until he found the perfect “tool” to contain her. The reason he had to do this was because the Radiance could infect the minds of anything with thought and emotion, hence why you see the infection start to spread through the game over time. The Hollow Knight is so aptly names because he is hollow, void of emotion and thought of his own, the perfect vessel to contain the Radiance. In this ending, you go into the mind of the Hollow Knight, beat the Radiance down, and basically end the cycle of its control hence the “good” ending. But the thing is, it’s up to interpretation, much like in Dark Souls, whether the Radiance is truly a bad thing. The Pale King gave thought to the hugs in Hallownest (other than the mantis tribe who were already intelligent), but the Radiance gave harmony and peace to bugs via their dreams. It’s a complicated situation to say the least.
Now if you want the new actually canon ending, you unfortunately have to go through the Pantheon of Hallownest in godhome. This is the 5th pantheon that gets unlocked once you beat the other 4.

Take a flower form the traitor's child grave and give it first to elderbug then to that thing that came out of the sarcophagus in the junk pit. The latter will make a ending available, the former is only one of the most wholesome moments in the game.
The reason i suggested to kill the hollow knight before you can deal with the radiance is that having to kill him over and over again to get to the radiance kinda mitigates the impact of the fight, and of him stabbing himself etc. so it's good to experience that end to the game first, and then ascend to void and take on the radiance.
Basically. The moths had a Goddess named "Radiance". Hallownest wasn't hallownest before the pale king/wyrm arrived. When The Pale King Arrived, he bacame king. The moths abandoned and forgot about RADIANCE (in the moth tribe, its very important to be remembered) wich made Radiance get sealed away. Then one day, Radiance got mad at the wyrm and started the infection (the infection is spread across dreams). The king tried to stop it by creating a "Pure Vessel/Hollow Knight" with void inside itself. But the vessel should have "no mind to think, no will to break, no voice to cry suffering, born of god and void" to be considered as "Pure". Basically, the vessels are the children of the King and the Queen (The White Lady) consumed by the void (reason why all of them are genderless and called as "It, its, that"). There was like a "race" to prove this. The first vessel to get to the top was the chosen one. The Character you play as got second place, while the hollow knight first place. All other vessels got trapped away on the abyss. Some were able to escape (like broken vessel and the other one in greenpath that hornet killed that gave you the dash, the ones on nosk's place....) while others died in the same place they were born. The king also wanted extra security, so he asked 3 bugs to become the seals of the black egg. The dreamers. Lurien was a big fan of the king, so he easily accepted, Monomon agreed for the sake on the kingdom and also seemed to be of help on the vessel's creation. While Herrah...... well.... she said no. Hallownest and Deepnest relationship wasn't the best (failed tram ***cought cought***). Herrah only agreed if the pale king gave her a child..... yeah they made dirty stuff and ***BOOM*** Hornet was born!. Basically Hornet is half sister of the vessels (she's not void tho lol-). But SURPRISE!!! THE HOLLOW KNIGHT WASN'T REALLY HOLLOW!!!! It loved its dad and cared about the kingdom. So radiance could spread the infection across the kingdom again!!!!!! yay!!!! Then, your character arrives again to hallownest (because of leaving hallownest, it lost its own memories) and all of the game happens!!!!! wooooo-
Remember to make the Hollow Knight Ending but with Hornet(¿ (If you haven't of course) (just don't dreamnail the hollow knight and keep attacking)

Yo, if you're doing Godhome, you should know that Shaman Stone is by far the best charm in the game. Level 5 nail does 21 damage (32 with Fragile/Unbreakable Strength), regular Abyss Shriek does 80 and if you add Shaman Stone, it does 120. Pumping up your spells will be decisive!
