Good for him that he is so passionate about dancing. He looks very talented. I hope he wins a gold. That would be quite an accomplishment. But how is breakdancing a sport?
If you don't see the athleticism behind it, particularly after watching this video, I can't imagine any explanation sufficing. Breakdancing should speak for itself. Perhaps it's the street garb and the history of it growing on the streets that makes it hard to see. That was something I wondered until I realized how athletic and obviously gymnastic it is, similar to a floor routine mixed with a pommel horse.
@@joetunon I see the athleticism. But thats like saying Tango or Quickstep or parkour should be in the Olympics. Its more of an physical art than a competitive sport. But since it is an Olympic sport, then they should add ball room dancing and parkour.
Look up formless team it an team that form one of the best as of couple years now and Philip and many other countries are also in that group some of the best bboy n bgirl together
It's just more general to say breaking that bboying or bgirling. Same thing happens with the other hip hop elements like graffiti/writing and MCing/rapping. Just a more formal way for people to classify things and put it on wikipedia i guess
I only wish I could be proud. This is the beginning of the end for the Olympics. I will be a gold medalist in the winter Olympics in lip-syncing and a gold in shadow puppetry
@@michaelmcclenon6663 Bruh, breakdance athletes put an insane amount of work into their art. Breakers like bboy Pocket ramps up to 12 hours a day leading up to events. The athleticism is insane. You should make fun of horseback riding if you want to make fun of something. What athletic capability do they need?
Try doing a simple flare. It's the most basic move in breakdancing and gymnastics. Then you'll quickly realize the athleticism needed to pull off those complex moves you see.
One of the coolest and most positive guys out there, and a sick dancer to boot.
and your prediction was right! he got gold! 🥇🥇🏅🏅
Facts
Dance from the 90s still solid.
He's so humble, grounded, and optimistic!! What a great representative for the culture of breakdancing.
Canada, you sent the best. He is really very very good. Excellent body control and speed, musicality, artistic and fun.
So inspiring !
Congrats on Gold Phil Wizard! Absolutely inspired, amazing Olympic sets. That handstand call out against Shigekix!!

I know nothing about breaking but the sample clips looked very creative, artistic and some what rhythmic in addition to the obvious athleticism!
This aged perfectly ❤

My money is on Hong 10! Good luck Phil Wizard
How much ,money did you lose.
Breakers rule!!!
I did it to get girls too😂
One day, legend has it. He may move out of his mums basement and get a proper job.. I dont believe them 🤣😂
More Asians in breaking, the inventors didn't expect that 😅
Asian males have the perfect sizes for break dancing, 5'1 to 5'9.
Phil Wizard, Hong 10, Shigekix, Issin, 671, and Ami are some of the best in the world.
It''s B- Boy not breakdance. Why does mainstream media constantly say breakdancer instead of B-Boy?

It was called breakdancing long before anything else
@@dh12. The artform is breaking or breakdancing and the person is a b-boy. That's my take on it.
He's cute, hope he's over 17 for two obvious reasons.
He's married with a kid.
I love watching it but I'm not good at all. Hardest dance I reckon. I can't even do a flare XD
Another gold for Korea!!!
You mean Canada? Lol
@@chinitopinoy1726 he is Korean. Canada is a camp.
@@ezrhino100 he is Korean but he won the medal for Canada and not Korea which makes your statement false. 😂

#WalmartFlipKart.
seems like everything is in the olympics. no standards. wack
You try doing a flare or a head spin.
