Fix everything, and then bill your insurance for everything that you fixed including that labor for it all. Your car was given back to you not 100% and you should get a check from your insurance for the repairs you did
Didn't the insurance declared the car was a totaled ? Cause in that case I'm pretty sure insurance already gave him what his car was worth when he decided to keep it.. so it's not the insurance fault what he has to do to it after that to fix it.. I'm guessing.....
@@Scarlif3x I just went back and look at the video back in early June and double checked and that they didn't total the vehicle so this could be very possible
I am going to have to disagree with you on that statement at least for Geico they didn't want to pay for shit under the hood for me just cosmetic shit because when I had my accident they claimed I bought the car that way which I didn't obviously And I can't sue them because technically the accident was legally my fault even tho it was the other drivers fault
@@703Bugeye because this accident was not his fault in the insurance eyes, it should be covered. Plus it is the responsibility of the repair shop to ensure that everything works like OEM (especially the vehicles safety features)
Not to mention by the reaction of Dustin seeing a zip tie on the MAF sensor, the shop knew they messed up that plug and tried to cover it up. I wouldn't be surprised if there was more they did but tried to hide.
I just fixed my MAF sensor as well I was getting the same issue with having the car 9 months the pins on my MAF got bent to hell but replaced it and it worked like a charm. Glad to see the Widebody back on the channel!
The Cobb AP has two ways you can flash your car. One is "Reflash" which is permanent and the other is "Realtime" which is temporary. If you have flashed using the normal "Reflash" method the map stays until you physically reflash it. If you flashed using the "Realtime" method then every time you disconnect power you will have to reflash your ECU. Hope this helps!
Glad to have the subie back. I remember when you bought the bucket seats and installed them. Guess you can say I missed the subie almost as much as you because its become a part of me.
Hey Dustin, you for sure will need to re tune the car. It resets the whole ecu. Snap on actually makes a battery memory saver ($60 ot so) that plugs into obd and when powered on you can disconnect the battery and do what you need to do. Something I’d for sure would look into for the future if you need to ever replace the alternator or just disconnect the battery for any reason. Hope this helped.
Missed the WRX. And I got to say I love your videos! I'm going to school for graphic design and your visuals are great! They've helped inspire and motivate me to strive for a career in graphic design. Stay up man!
yo dustin, i have a 2016 wrx. I replace the battery all the time when doing work and stuff on it. It does not take away your tune or nothing. Thats definitely still on the ECU. Drunkman will be tuning mine tomorrow!
I've had my battery die while running the cobb/a tune on my 2016 wrx and i didnt have to reflash the tune, however usually it would reset my settings like launch control, etc so you should be good
If the tune was uploaded as a reflash, it’s saved to the computer even if the car loses power. Real-time will work until you lose power from the battery. If you lose power it goes back to whatever tune was flashed and will just need to relearn the same as your stock tune when you lose power.
For subies usually the traction, hill and cruise light come on with the engine light. My sti does that. Once I fixed the engine issue they all went away after a reset
FYI it’s not a good idea to load vehicles on trailers backwards. Messes up the weight distribution and can cause the trailer to lose control and jack knife. Noticed in a past video he trailered the evo the same way. Might want to do some research @DustinWilliams
In my car, if a CEL is on, the abs and back lights come on. May get lucky and not have to spend extra money on another sensor if you take care of the CEL first.
I'm gonna guess next video title and thumbnail, "Rubbing issues on my new wheels on the WRX!" With the thumbnail you doing a facepalm! Haha Dustin William's classics
The battery probably damaged the ethanol content sensor when you got hit. The harness runs on the side of the motor on the driver side connected to an o2 plug and tgv plug
Just select, "show current map" on the accessport, it is not true that when you disconnect the battery you have to reflash. Ive done it multiple times.
Bro your check engine being on automatically turns traction control, hill assist and cruise. Don’t worry about that other stuff 👍. Also the wire may have got cut or damaged in the accident and they didn’t catch it.
You shouldn't have to reflash your pro tune after your battery dies or you replace your battery. The accessport is smart enough to not have to reflash maps.
When the check engine light is on , on a 2015 wrx, the abs, traction and hill assist light will be on. I purchased a wrecked 2015 wrx and I had a check engine light due to a maf censor. After that was replaced , all lights disappeared.
Hey I don't know about your insurance companies, but my insurance company requires the bodyshop to fix all ABS and engine lights that were a result of the accident. If the bodyshop doesn't know how to fix it, they need to contract a mechanic to fix them. How did Maaco let you take the car with those issues unfixed? I know they are a bodyshop, but my insurance company required them to fix everything before the car is driven off the lot! And it is in the best interest of the bodyshop to fix those issues because it would be revenue and profit for them to fix those issues!
I use to work in a body shop an yes you are right about that! That car should of been fix to completion with ZERO problems! An on a side note that took way to long! That repair should of ONLY took a week or to OR at the very most a month. In my opinion that shop fucked him! I Did those repairs in a week no problem! I get the insurance part tho that shit is the worst to deal with!
Glad to see the WRX back baby!! #DuSTANCEWilliams 😂
Is nice to have the WRX on the channel again😎

that turbo and bov set up is absolutley perfect! its sounds amazing
I just fixed my MAF sensor as well I was getting the same issue with having the car 9 months the pins on my MAF got bent to hell but replaced it and it worked like a charm. Glad to see the Widebody back on the channel!
So glad to see the WRX again. It's the reason I started watching you.
The Cobb AP has two ways you can flash your car. One is "Reflash" which is permanent and the other is "Realtime" which is temporary. Wow five long months later... can’t wait to see it come back to 100💪🏽
😭💞 how ive missed the wrx glad to see it back
Glad you figured out all the issues car problems it can be stressful, probably more so for you since you have like 10 cars now.
Congrats on getting the WRX back Dustin!
So glad to see the wrx back, can’t wait to see it completed!
Glad to have the subie back. I remember when you bought the bucket seats and installed them. Guess you can say I missed the subie almost as much as you because its become a part of me.
Almost as much as you did if that makes more sense😂
I remember that too and his old gf liked it he'd get a new bucket seat. Guess she dint back then 😂
I sold my automatic FRS but Dustin inspired me to buy my wrx manual.
You got no idea how long I been waiting for this.
Im so glad you will be at my home town tuner evo show. I will have my car inside hopefully I can meet you
Happy she is back and you ya'll found out what was wrong.
Love seeing the wrx again, this is why I started watching.
hell yes
Buy another bucket seat for the wrx it’s been too long 😂

Your accessport will tell you what the current map is. Getting a new battery won’t change the map
Yeah it should not affect it.
The hood looks so cool, the car it self is amazing
I’m on my second maf. I also have the Ets intake. Make sure you are constantly cleaning the maf.
Oh man day by day the beast is coming back and better than ever 😎
Liked the music choice running throughout the video👍🏼 Can’t wait for some new wheels on the WRX
Loving having the WRX back! Was the car the led me to your channel, so happy right now 😎👍
Yes dustin when a cobb tuned subaru's battery dies you do have to retune it unless you did a hard reflash and not a realtime
Missed the WRX. And I got to say I love your videos! I'm going to school for graphic design and your visuals are great! They've helped inspire and motivate me to strive for a career in graphic design. Stay up man!
Glad you got it running
yo dustin, i have a 2016 wrx. I replace the battery all the time when doing work and stuff on it. It does not take away your tune or nothing. Thats definitely still on the ECU. Drunkman will be tuning mine tomorrow!
I've had my battery die while running the cobb/a tune on my 2016 wrx and i didnt have to reflash the tune, however usually it would reset my settings like launch control, etc
so you should be good
Go back to when you picked up the wrx I called the maf sensor being a problem!
You should change the contact from "Bill Delicious" to "Delicious Bill" lmao
Cant wait to see the wheels finally on
I never saw Dustin running before its funny for some reason😂😂😂
Dut’s sleeve is lookin DOPE AF
So glad wrx is back, but please bag it 😩🙏🏼 it will be a perfect stance car . Just send it 💯🔥
Really happy to see the WRX back 😃
If the tune was uploaded as a reflash, it’s saved to the computer even if the car loses power. Real-time will work until you lose power from the battery. If you lose power it goes back to whatever tune was flashed and will just need to relearn the same as your stock tune when you lose power.
Yes you have to reset your tune on your accessport.
that rx7 thoooo 8:35
Damn! the subie lives! so glad to hear that wastegate blowoff again, that thing sounds sooo sick. hyped to see the wheels and kit fully installed!
Can’t wait to see it run perfectly 🤤
For subies usually the traction, hill and cruise light come on with the engine light. My sti does that. Once I fixed the engine issue they all went away after a reset
Bro I'm happy for you after 6 months
Glad u figured it out
That Ducati in the background 🔥🔥
Ya know it wouldn't be so difficult to get on and off if ya put it on bags 😁
That's too easy though. Bags are over done anyways.
Yay the wrx is back cant wait till its finish 😍
God dam it feels like I'm watching a football game all these dam commercials 🤦🏿♂️😂
Bro i fucken love you and this subaru. Ive stayed with you since your first come up in the back roads on the upgrades
Cant wait for the wheels!
Yes you have to re-flash it change the map on your accessport
Ah damn you have to redo the headlights 😅
I don't know why I laughed so hard at the shot of Dustin climbing out of the window 😂
FYI it’s not a good idea to load vehicles on trailers backwards. Messes up the weight distribution and can cause the trailer to lose control and jack knife. Noticed in a past video he trailered the evo the same way. Might want to do some research @DustinWilliams
Can’t wait to see v3 🤙🏻
called it!
In my car, if a CEL is on, the abs and back lights come on. May get lucky and not have to spend extra money on another sensor if you take care of the CEL first.
This yellow rx7 looks so sick
I'm gonna guess next video title and thumbnail,
"Rubbing issues on my new wheels on the WRX!" With the thumbnail you doing a facepalm!
Haha Dustin William's classics
you know me all too well.
The battery probably damaged the ethanol content sensor when you got hit. The harness runs on the side of the motor on the driver side connected to an o2 plug and tgv plug
Bought a hoodie Yesterday! Best 50 bucks I’ve spent. Love the content👌🏻
Thanks for the support!
101 reasons to run air 😀 .... Have fun with the WRX .... Can't wait for it to look mint again.
WRX is back !!!!!
wrx is finally back
The Subaru is back Baby
Dope ass transition at 1:38
It's back! It lives!
The tune will stay saved
Even if your battery dies
Just select, "show current map" on the accessport, it is not true that when you disconnect the battery you have to reflash. Ive done it multiple times.
Cant wait go see you here in chicago!!!!
You should make a custom front bumper piece for the wide body, it looks weird without it. Man I missed this thing
If the tune is on the accessport it should be on there even if you reflash the car
By the way yes, you have to reflash the tune after changing or unplugging battery.
Big fan from Latvia! Love your videos!!!
Bro your check engine being on automatically turns traction control, hill assist and cruise. Don’t worry about that other stuff 👍. Also the wire may have got cut or damaged in the accident and they didn’t catch it.
OHHHHHHHHHHHH THANKS TIM BRO!!! MISS YOU
Good to see it bro!
Congrats dustin 🤙
The subi is back 😍😍😍
SUBI IS BACK!!! HELL YEAH!!
just check your cobb for the current tune if its ur tune then your fine
1:25 nascar approved 👍🏼
You shouldn't have to reflash your pro tune after your battery dies or you replace your battery. The accessport is smart enough to not have to reflash maps.
More WRX videos please!!! 🙏
#1 fan
EDIT:thanks for the ❤️ dustin
Great videos man keep em coming👌🏼🔥🔥
Bruhhh of course I just arrived in San Fran today and won’t be back in Chicago until late Sunday night 🙃
How does it work? Will the body shop front the cash to fix it? Or does it come out of your pocket?BUT THAT SKYLINE THO 🙌🏼
Stay Focus Dustin 💪🏻 Keep it up bro 🙌🏻
I don't have a COBB, but my OFT tune can get weird if my BRZ dies multiple times, I always flash it back to stock then back to my stage 2.
When the check engine light is on , on a 2015 wrx, the abs, traction and hill assist light will be on. I purchased a wrecked 2015 wrx and I had a check engine light due to a maf censor. After that was replaced , all lights disappeared.
Dustin is a legend

Great news dustin. Perfect
1:23 dope prius
ThE WRX is alive dammm I love this car❤❤👊🏻💪🏻
me too!
Whaaaaat you anwser me the fuck ! You're the best of the best brooo ❤❤💪🏻
The ecu retains the tune with complete power loss. I double checked mine when I had to do a battery change.
Wrx is back 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Hopefully the wire won’t be such a pain if it’s a wiring issue or related
I would get the Cobb flex fuel kit. It is much better for the WRX than the delicious tuning kit
