    Guy builds a KILLER AMP!
EVH should have hooked up with dave for his sig amps!

What’s insane is that he build rigs for EVH but for some reason never made his way into building amps for him.

i just liked the hi gain without the shrill top end from Friedman amps, some people think it is to muffled, but i get a lot less ear fatigue from that sound.

Please build a asskicking 6V6 amp. Getting a real Marsha sound out of EL84's is like Steve Stevens getting his old Marshall tone out of a 5150. 6V6 is such a killer little beast. Dave Friedman I'm begging you! It's just another area needs your stamp on it. Game on?

Yeah, would LOVE to see what Dave can do with a slightly modified hand-wired old Fender style circuit as well. I bet he could make one with much tighter low end.

I think I'm going to get the pt 20 but the mini dirty Shirley is pretty cool too. I'm just trying to research as much as possible before I purchase.

I couldn’t decide between the SmallBox and Dirty Shirley 40 so I just got both lol 😂

I'd love to hear about his guitar line too - they've been getting rave reviews.

This guy makes the BEST sounding amps that have the BEST feel. But man, I hope he imparts his vast knowledge of tone and amp building with someone as capable as him because it doesn't look like he's going to be around very long. He looks like a heart attack just waiting to happen.

Wish he would've talked about the Runt line of amps...guess they weren't released yet when this video was shot. Nice interview though!

Dave Friedman is a first-ballot HOF'er in the pantheon of tone (doî)... but as best as I can tell, he seems to be an even better Human Being. Now THĀT is worthy of a few 💪, 🔈🔉🔊🎵, 🍺, 👌, and the best for last = 🙏

I just went all the way thru the site, and yes these amps are very impressive.
I don't know why but none turned my spokes. The one that came closest was the "plexi mod". Phil X demo was pure awesome!
OK, maybe I lied. Maybe I do know why none turned my spokes. Because every dam one of them is EL34 or 5881, and I'm about done with the whole "new take on a Marshall" thing. If I wanted another new take on a Marshall I'd probably break one and see how it sounds broken. (Im not being totally serious here...)
I like American clean tones for playing. Call it the "F" sound or whatever, but it generally starts with 6L6 (or variation) tubes.
Im just highly disappointed that a guy from Detroit USA has a whole line of high quality amps that everyone is raving about.. and I cant covet one.
Yeah, they sound great, but I don't live anywhere in that range.
Oh, and before I quit whining (which is exactly what Im doing..), why is it that so many of the top "F" sound amps out there will get you about halfway to full-balls distortion and then its pedal time?
(Yeah, someones gonna name off 100 amps that prove me wrong.. but if I wanted any of them I wouldn't be whining ) ...Just because I like the F tones doesn't mean I play country, or surf, or jazz.
I dont want anybody upset, so Ill be totally honest and confess that the F Super Sonic doesn't knock me over either...and boy was I bummed out when that happened cuz I was prepared for love. Already bought the ring and ordered the cake.
Oh, and I should point out that Im still looking for "my" tone. If I were looking for an amp that nailed some other tones really well then this stuff is awesome.
But I figure that I need to get my thing down before I start branching out.
    Great amps.. just not me.
    Long comment. Sorry.
